DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 5/18/22 The fantasy baseball season has been terrific! It's been fun watching these pitchers and lineups adapt to the new environment, but it feels like the offenses are starting to come around. Baseball is all about grinding away night after night, and we have to do the same thing as these players. It's not always going to work out every night, but putting yourself in the best position to succeed should put you ahead of the pack. These articles are a good starting point for any slate, and we love the pitching recommendations for this card. With that in mind, let's start with last year's NL Cy Young winner. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Corbin Burnes FD - P 10300 DK - RP 10000 Opponent - ATL (Max Fried) Park - MIL FD - 41.37 DK - 22.94 Burnes took down NL Cy Young honors last year, but this has been one of the best pitchers in baseball for three years now. CB has a 2.25 ERA and 0.93 WHIP since 2020. His strikeout numbers are even more impressive, recording 379 whiffs across those 272 innings. We love that when looking at his recent form, throwing at least six innings in each of his last six starts en route to a 1.33 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, and 11.7 K/9 rate in that span. Some of you might be worried about a matchup with the defending champs, but they rank 21st in OBP and dead-last in K rate this season. The most strikeout-heavy team facing one of the best strikeout pitchers makes Burnes one of the safest plays out there. Sonny Gray FD - P 8200 DK - SP 6700 Opponent - OAK (Daulton Jefferies) Park - OAK FD - 41.25 DK - 21.95 This DraftKings price is silly. Gray has been an $8K player on both sites for most of his career, totaling a 3.61 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in his nine-year career. That's pretty good, and we love this recent resurgence, registering a 3.49 ERA and 1.16 WHIP since 2019. His Ks have been on the uptick, too, striking out 452 batters across those 381 innings. His pitch count was held back earlier on, but 82 pitches in his most recent outing mean he should be close to a full workload. That looks even better with Sonny slinging a 2.16 ERA and 16.2 K/9 rate over his last two starts. Facing Oakland in a revenge game...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 5/15/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 5/15/22 Picking pitchers on this slate was quite the task. There are a million guys worth using, including Justin Verlander, Carlos Rodon, Triston McKenzie, Carlos Carrasco, Nestor Cortes, Joe Ryan, Michael Kopech, Alek Manoah, Robbie Ray, Aaron Nola, and Patrick Sandoval. Amazingly, none of those guys made it into our pitcher section, but we have two guys that are incredible values. With that in mind, let's start with one of the best pitchers in the NL. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Brandon Woodruff FD - P 9600 DK - SP 9000 Opponent - MIA (Elieser Hernandez) Park - MIA FD - 40.17 DK - 21.75 Woodruff has struggled through the first month of the season, but this guy will get going sooner rather than later. The track record tells you everything you need to know, with Woodruff amassing a 2.70 ERA and 0.97 WHIP between 2020 and 2021. He also struck out 302 batters across 253 innings and has flashed a 14.8 K/9 rate over his last four appearances. That tells us that things are headed in the right direction, and a matchup with Miami is the way to get him back on track. The Marlins rank 23rd in K rate and 25th in hard-hit rate. That's why Woodruff enters this matchup as a -160 favorite, with Miami projected for only three runs. Tarik Skubal FD - P 9300 DK - SP 6000 Opponent - BAL (Tyler Wells) Park - DET FD - 36.05 DK - 19.5 Um, what the hell is DraftKings doing here? Skubal will be used in every lineup over there, and it's easy to understand why. This guy has been pitching at a $9K level for most of the season, scoring at least 24 DraftKings points in four of his last five starts. The lefty is also producing a 2.12 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 9.4 K/9 rate in that span. All of that makes the DK price complete;y laughable, sitting below gas cans like Tyler Wells, Hunter Greene, and Elieser Hernandez. The matchup might be the best part of this, with Baltimore ranked 24th in K rate, 27th in runs scored, and 23rd in xwOBA. Justin Verlander (FD $10500/DK $10300) has returned to the stud we saw before his Tommy John surgery, providing a 1.55 ERA and 0.64 WHIP. Catcher/First Base C.J. Cron FD - 1B 4100 DK - 1B 5300 Opponent - KC (Daniel Lynch) Park - COL FD - 14.17...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 5/11/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 5/11/22 These Wednesday cards are some of the toughest to manage. It always feels like there are games spread evenly throughout the day, so we try our best to sprinkle plays for all the different slates. The good news is that every team is in action, so there's plenty to pick between. With that in mind, let's get started with our favorite pitcher of the day! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Sandy Alcantara FD - P 9100 DK - SP 8600 Opponent - ARI (Merrill Kelly) Park - ARI FD - 35.33 DK - 18.62 Alcantara has been one of the best pitchers in baseball for three years now, and it's hard to understand why he's still sitting around $9,000. The right-hander has a 3.14 ERA and 1.12 WHIP since 2020, striking out 271 batters across 283 innings. Those are tough averages to find from a player in this price range, and we certainly don't expect this atrocious Arizona lineup to bump them at all. The Diamondbacks rank 24th in runs scored, 23rd in OPS, and 25th in K rate. The oddsmakers love Sandy too, making this a seven-run total between two of the best arms in baseball. Alex Cobb FD - P 7300 DK - SP 6700 Opponent - COL (Chad Kuhl) Park - SF FD - 35.02 DK - 18.13 Cobb was clobbered in his first start off the IL, but this guy has been great aside from that. In fact, Alex has a 4.40 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 13.8 K/9 rate in his other three starts this year. It's easy to understand why because Cobb's velocity has gone from 93 MPH all the way up to 97 this season. If he's throwing his fastball with that velocity and mixing in his best pitch, nicknamed "the thing", Cobb could be in for a bounceback season. All of that makes him difficult to avoid against Colorado, with the Rockies ranked bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, and OPS on the road last year. That has Cobb entering this matchup as a -200 favorite in a game with a 7.5-run total. Shohei Ohtani (FD $10800 DK $8800) just saw Reid Detmers throw a no-hitter against a struggling Rays lineup and remains a good option despite the expensive price tags. Catcher/First Base Ty France FD - 1B 3700 DK - 1B 4200 Opponent - PHI (Bailey Falter) Park - SEA FD - 12.51 DK - 9.54 Viva La France has become...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 5/8/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 5/8/22 Man, how crazy has the weather been this week? We had six postponements on Friday and another three on Saturday. That leaves us with a couple of doubleheaders and more headaches in terms of guessing weather. The East Coast has been flooded by rain this weekend, and it looks like we could have more thunderstorms here. The skies are clearer than they were on Friday and Saturday, though, which means we could get a full day of baseball. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the pitchers! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Joe Musgrove FD - P 10000 DK - SP 9800 Opponent - MIA (Trevor Rogers) Park - SD FD - 42.85 DK - 23 We have been waiting for Musgrove to break out for most of his career, but it looks like we're finally there. The former Pirate provided a 3.18 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in a breakout 2021 season. He's been even better this year, tallying a 4-0 record, 1.97 ERA, and 0.91 WHIP. That obviously makes him one of the best pitchers in baseball, scoring at least 17 DraftKings points in all five starts. All of that makes him tough to fade against Miami, with the Marlins ranked 20th in runs scored and 22nd in xwOBA. The oddsmakers agree with everything we mentioned, making Musgrove a -185 favorite in a game with a 6.5-run total. Alek Manoah FD - P 10400 DK - SP 10100 Opponent - CLE (Konnor Pilkington) Park - CLE FD - 34.79 DK - 18.83 We just discussed that Musgrove is amid a breakout campaign, and it looks like Manoah is in the same boat. The right-hander was spectacular in a limited role last season and has carried that over to the tune of a 1.45 ERA and 0.84 WHIP this year. Those are some of the best averages around, with Alek doing that damage against teams like the Yankees (2), Red Sox, and Astros. Cleveland has half the talent of those other rosters, with the Guardians ranked 24th in xwOBA. All of that will likely have Manoah entering this matchup as a -200 favorite! Patrick Sandoval (FD $9100 DK $8900) has a 1.29 ERA and 1.14 WHIP this season and faces weak Nationals lineups. Catcher/First Base Ty France FD - 1B 3800 DK - 1B 4400 Opponent - TB (Ryan Yarbrough) Park - SEA FD - 12.51 DK - 9.54 France hasn't gotten much...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 5/4/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 5/4/22 Tuesday's slate was annoying with all of the rainouts, but we finally saw some offense! It's been a struggle for most of these teams to hit through the opening month, but the weather is getting warmer, which means the bats are getting hotter. The scoring will pick up as we progress, and it'll be fun to watch some of these struggling bats turn it around. With that said, let's kick things off with one of the hottest pitchers in baseball! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB and NBA optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Justin Verlander FD - P 10800 DK - SP 10100 Opponent - SEA (Matt Brash) Park - HOU FD - 41.86 DK - 23.26 I wasn't so sure how Verlander would look after a year off due to Tommy John surgery, but the future Hall-of-Famer looks as good as ever. The 39-year-old has a 1.73 ERA and 0.69 WHIp through the first four starts of the season. That's the stud we've seen for well over a decade, with JV amassing a 3.31 ERA and 1.13 WHIP for his career. It's not like Seattle is a scary matchup either, sending out a bunch of underachieving prospects night after night. That was on full display when Verlander threw eight scoreless innings against them just two weeks ago. That has him entering this matchup as a -200 favorite, with the Mariners projected for just 3.3 runs. Freddy Peralta FD - P 8800 DK - SP 8900 Opponent - CIN (Vladimir Gutierrez) Park - MIL FD - 42.21 DK - 23.06 To say Cincinnati is the best matchup in baseball is a drastic understatement. Most Little League pitchers would abuse this lineup, with the Reds ranked dead-last in OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. They literally have three wins! All of that makes Peralta one of the best plays on the board, generating a 3.19 ERA and 1.03 WHIP since 2020. His strikeout stuff is even more impressive, recording 265 Ks across those 192 innings. That should put him in line to mow down this horrific Reds lineup, with Peralta providing a 0.97 WHIP and 10.9 K/9 rate in four starts against them last season. The oddsmakers agree, making Peralta a -250 favorite, in a game with a 7.5-run total. Elieser Hernandez (FD $7200/DK $8100) is a great punt play against an atrocious Arizona lineup. Catcher/First Base C.J. Cron FD - 1B 4000 DK - 1B 5600 Opponent - WSH (Patrick Corbin) Park - COL FD - 14.06...
