DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/22/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/22/22 I don't know if I've seen a more wild day of baseball than we did on Tuesday. There were a ton of extra-inning games that kept me up all night. I'm happy to stay up and watch late-night baseball, though, because I'm a night owl already! It has me excited to keep rolling here because my Angels stack went on a nice GPP run. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the guy toeing the rubber for the Halos here! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Pitchers Shohei Ohtani FD - P 10000 DK - SP 8500 Opponent - KC (Daniel Lynch) Park - LAA FD - 39.48 DK - 21.57 Shohei went nuts with the bat on Tuesday, collecting a career-high eight RBI thanks to a couple of home runs. You already know this is one of the frontrunners for MVP because his arm is just as impressive as his bat. The right-hander from Japan has a 2.60 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 10.2 K/9 rate over his last nine starts. That's pretty much the guy we've seen throughout his career, with Shohei slinging a 3.47 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. All of that makes him tough to fade against Kansas City, with the Royals ranked 26th in OPS, 27th in runs scored and 25th in wOBA. That has Ohtani entering this matchup as a -210 favorite, with KC projected for only 3.5 runs. George Kirby FD - P 8800 DK - SP 6600 Opponent - OAK (Paul Blackburn) Park - OAK FD - 35.79 DK - 19.15 What is DraftKings thinking here? Kirby should be an $8K player on both sites, and he's just $6,600 over on DK. I truly don't know why that's the case because this rookie has a 3.56 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. That looks even better when you look at his control, posting a 41:5 K/BB rate this season. That's the guy we saw in the minors, amassing a 2.34 ERA and 1.03 WHIP at that level. This is simply one of the best arms in baseball, and he could be an ace in years to come. That would make him a worthy play against anyone, but Oakland ranks bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. That's why he's a -140 favorite in a game with a 7.5-run total. Keegan Thompson (FD $6600 DK $7200) faces the Pirates, and any formidable pitcher facing Pittsburgh is in play. Catcher/First Base...
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 6/19/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 6/19/22 I had one of my better days of the year on Saturday, and I'm ready to keep rolling here. Charlie Blackmon and Tyler O'Neill carried me to a nice cash, and some of these prices are shocking from these DFS sites. It feels like these sites have been more volatile in terms of shifting the prices because I've seen some guys jump $1,000 in a two-day span. In any case, we'll try to capitalize on some of these significant shifts, so let's get started with some pitchers! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Chris Bassitt FD 9300 DK 8900 Opponent - MIA (Sandy Alcantara) Park - MIA FD - 39.23 DK - 21.47 Bassitt has been more inconsistent than we expected, but this guy is too good to be this cheap. The right-hander has scored at least 19 DraftKings points in nine of his 13 starts, and that's really all you can hope for from a player in this price range. He also has a 1.60 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 9.9 K/9 rate in those outings, posting his duds against some of the best offenses in baseball. Miami is certainly not that, with the Marlins ranked in the bottom half of nearly every offensive category. They'd be near the bottom if they didn't drop 25 runs in a two-game span at Coors Field! Bassitt has always been a beast at home, posting a 2.19 ERA and 0.96 WHIP at home since 2020. The oddsmakers agree with our assessment, making the Mets a -140 favorite in a game with a seven-run total! Brady Singer FD 8300 DK 7800 Opponent - OAK (Jared Koenig) Park - OAK FD - 32.81 DK - 16.88 We want to use pitchers against Oakland all season. This is simply the worst offense in the sport, ranked bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. That puts any decent pitcher in play against them, and Singer has been better than that this year. In fact, Brady has a 3.62 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 8.9 K.9 rate since the opener. That even includes a seven-run dud against the Astros and that offense is obviously nowhere near Oakland. Throwing in Oakland Coliseum is a treat, too, with that spacious ballpark giving this game a 7.5-run total, with KC being a -145 favorite. A quality start and a win would make Singer one of the best plays on the board in this price range, and...
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/15/22 – Main Slate
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/15/22 This slate fascinates me. I had a really tough time picking the pitchers, but the hitters came to me as quickly as ever. That means we could be in for a high-scoring night, with almost no aces toeing the rubber for their respective teams. Shane McClanahan and Corbin Burnes are the only frontline starters on the board, but those two guys face Top-3 offenses. With that in mind, we like one of their opponents, so let's start there! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Nestor Cortes FD - P 10500 DK - RP 9900 Opponent - TB (Shane McClanahan) Park - NYY FD - 39.24 DK - 21.89 Nasty Nestor has been one of the breakout pitchers in baseball this season, and it's impressive to see how good he's become. The left-hander has scored at least 15 DraftKings points in nine of his last 11 starts, providing a 1.96 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 9.9 K/9 rate. His two duds weren't even that bad either, allowing four runs or fewer in all 11 of his starts. That has him as one of the frontrunners for AL Cy Young, and we're certainly not worried about him facing a Tampa lineup without Wander Franco and Brandon Lowe. In this matchup two weeks ago, Cortes allowed one run across eight innings en route to 27 DraftKings points! Rich Hill FD - P 7700 DK - SP 7100 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - BOS FD - 29.64 DK - 15.01 This is a risky play, but something tells me this crafty lefty will cruise through this inexperienced lineup and pick up a win. To say Oakland's lineup is terrible is an understatement, with the A's ranked bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. That's rough news against Rich, with Dick Mountain maintaining a 3.23 ERA And 1.11 WHIP since 2015. He's been showing flashes of that player recently, totaling a 2.61 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 9.6 K/9 rate over his last two starts. The oddsmakers agree with our assessment, making Hill a -210 favorite in this sensational spot. Jack Flaherty (FD $8600 DK $8100) will be on a pitch count, but if you saw the lineup Miles Mikolas faced yesterday, you know why he's in here. Catcher/First Base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. FD - 1B 3800 DK - 1B 5500 Opponent - BAL (Bruce Zimmermann) Park - TOR FD - 16.73 DK - 12.6 Guerrero was second in...
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 6/12/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 6/12/22 This might be an unpopular opinion, but the baseball grind is what I love most about the sport. Looking at players' stats daily and adapting to different matchups is my favorite thing when it comes to baseball, and it has me excited every day to do some box score research. It also feels beneficial from a DFS perspective because every day feels like a new season of its own. Approaching DFS with a clean slate every day is the best way to approach this racket, and I'm ready to keep rolling here! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Justin Verlander FD - P 10900 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - MIA (Edward Cabrera) Park - HOU FD - 39.68 DK - 21.96 What this old man is doing is unbelievable. It would have been easy for this guy to hang up his cleats after Tommy John surgery at 37, but this dude has come back as good as ever. The perennial All-Star leads all players on this slate with 24 DraftKings points per game, thanks to a 2.14 ERA and 0.84 WHIP. Those are obviously some of the best ratios in baseball, with JV dropping a season-high 37 fantasy points in his most recent outing. A matchup with Miami is marvelous, too, with the Marlins ranked near the bottom of every offensive metric. A Coors Field series in which they scored 26 runs in two days inflated their numbers, but this is one of the worst offenses in baseball. We also love that Verlander enters this matchup as a -230 favorite, with Miami projected for only three runs. Kyle Wright FD - P 10500 DK - SP 10100 Opponent - PIT (José Quintana) Park - ATL FD - 42.12 DK - 23.03 Wright looks to be in the midst of a breakout season. The Braves righty has a 2.39 ERA and 1.02 WHIP, striking out 71 batters across 67 innings. He's been even better recently, totaling a 1.69 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 9.0 K/9 rate over his last five starts. All of that is horrifying news for the Pirates, with Pittsburgh sitting 29th in runs scored, 28th in OPS, and 27th in wOBA. The oddsmakers agree with our assessment, making Wright a -250 favorite in this matchup, with the Pirates projected for just 3.5 runs. These two pitchers are easily the safest options on the board! Michael Kopech (FD $9200 DK $8100) has a 1.94 ERA...
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/8/22 – Main Slate
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/8/22 I was feeling risky yesterday, and it led to some of my strangest lineup construction ever. I decided to go with the two cheapest pitchers on DraftKings in German Marquez and Kyle Bradish, and it led to a min-cash day. Experimenting like that is something that everyone should do at different times because it's interesting to see how different lineups can play out. We definitely won't be doing that here because we have one of the top AL Cy Young candidates as our first recommendation. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the best Bieber that I know. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Shane Bieber FD - P 9700 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - TEX (Dane Dunning) Park - CLE FD - 38.22 DK - 20.77 It's strange that Bieber is still below $10K. This guy has been one of the best pitchers in baseball since his call-up, and it's clear these sites are still concerned about his early-season struggles. They shouldn't be, with Shane allowing three runs or fewer in nine of his 10 starts. The one dud was against Toronto, and that's an offense that's blown up numerous pitcher's ERAs and WHIPs. Outside of that stinker, Bieber has a 2.20 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 9.7 K/9 rate. He's also got at least 25 DraftKings points in each of his last three starts, one of the best stretches of his career. The matchup with Texas is tremendous, too, with the Rangers ranked 28th in OBP, 22nd in OPS, and 24th in wOBA. Ian Anderson FD - P 7700 DK - SP 6400 Opponent - OAK (Jared Koenig) Park - ATL FD - 33.14 DK - 16.91 Anderson is amid a sophomore slump, but this guy is too good to be this cheap. We're talking about a pitcher with a 3.61 ERA and 1.25 WHIP since his call-up late in 2020, showing some elite stuff in their most recent playoff run. This highly-touted prospect has been the victim of some tough matchups this season, but Oakland is possibly the best matchup in baseball. The A's rank bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA this season, scoring two runs or fewer in six of their last seven games. The oddsmakers would say this is the best per-dollar play on the board, with Anderson entering this matchup as a -250 favorite, with Oakland projected for just 3.5 runs. Nestor Cortes (FD $11000...
