DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 7/10/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 7/10/22 We're winding down to the All-Star break. We're only a week away from those festivities, and it's been a fun first half of the season. It's tough to gauge who will start that All-Star game, but our first pitching recommendation might be the guy! With that in mind, let's get started with the best pitcher in fantasy! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Pitchers Sandy Alcantara FD - P 10700 DK - SP 10700 Opponent - NYM (Taijuan Walker) Park - NYM FD - 35.15 DK - 18.35 Consistency is arguably the most important thing when evaluating DFS pitching, and there's been no more reliable pitcher than this guy. His length is what makes Alcantara so good, throwing at least seven innings in 11 straight starts. There are only a few pitchers who have double-digit seven-inning starts all year, and it looks even better with Alcantara amassing a 1.33 ERA and 0.74 WHIP in that span. He's also scored at least 40 FanDuel points in 10 of those 11 starts, and it should continue in a pitcher's park like Citi Field. He faced this Mets team in Citi Field two weeks ago and dropped 52 FD points! Julio Urías FD - P 9900 DK - SP 10000 Opponent - CHC (Undecided) Park - LAD FD - 33.78 DK - 17.34 Urias got off to a rough start this season, but he's been amazing over the last month. The lefty has allowed one run or fewer in six of his previous nine starts, generating a 2.26 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 9.9 K/9 rate in that span. That's the stud we've become accustomed to, and we love his 2.45 ERA and 0.97 WHIP at Dodger Stadium this season. The Cubs are also far from a scary matchup, with Chicago sitting 20th in xwOBA and 25th in K rate. This is one of the oddsmakers favorite plays, too, with Urias and LA entering this matchup as a -300 favorite, with Chicago projected for just 3.5 runs. Michael Kopech (FD $8200 DK $8200) had a 2.11 ERA and 0.96 WHIP through his first 11 starts and could recapture that form against the lowest-scoring team in baseball. Catcher/First Base José Abreu FD - 1B 3500 DK - 1B 5400 Opponent - DET (Drew Hutchison) Park - CHW FD - 11.56 DK - 8.75 Abreu was atrocious through the opening month of the season, but he's really been finding his swing recently. DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 7/6/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 7/6/22 Tuesday's slate was interesting. Yusei Kikuchi was used in nearly 30 percent of the lineups out there, and he finished with negative fantasy points in most formats. That's just the obscurity in fantasy baseball, and many people should have considered the risk of using such a volatile pitcher like Kikuchi. That's why we like to pay up at that position, so let's kick things off with two high-priced pitchers! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Shohei Ohtani FD - P 10800 DK - SP 9300 Opponent - MIA (Trevor Rogers) Park - MIA FD - 40.52 DK - 22.19 It blows my mind to think about what this guy is doing. Ohtani is not only one of the best hitters in our sport, but he's developed into an ace as well. His numbers as of late are genuinely absurd, accruing a 0.34 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, and 12.1 K/9 rate over his last four starts. That led to him scoring at least 33 FanDuel points in eight of his previous nine starts, which should be easy to attain here. We say that because the Marlins rank 17th in runs scored and 18th in OBP. That doesn't even consider that they're missing Jazz Chisholm and Jorge Soler, who are likely their two best hitters. Vegas loves him too, making the Angels a -180 favorite, with the Marlins projected for just 3.5 runs. Shane Bieber FD - P 10100 DK - SP 9100 Opponent - DET (Michael Pineda) Park - DET FD - 38.1 DK - 20.69 The Biebs is always a Cy Young candidate, and it's hard to understand why he's in this price range in such a magical matchup. Let's start there, with Detroit scoring the fewest runs in baseball while sitting bottom three in OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA as well. That should allow Bieber to bludgeon this nightmarish lineup, with Shane sporting a 2.65 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 9.9 K/9 rate over his last nine starts. He's absolutely destroyed Detroit throughout his career, too, scoring at least 46 FanDuel points in each of his last seven meetings with them dating back to 2019. That's why he's a -175 favorite in a game with a 7.5-run total. Corbin Burnes (FD $11200 DK $10500) has been one of the best pitchers in the NL over the last three years and is obviously a good option against a terrible Cubs offense. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B...
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 7/3/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 7/3/22 Saturday was a sensational day for yours truly. George Kirby had a monster start for me, and it has me ready to keep rolling here. This is another typical Sunday card, with all but two games in action between 1ET and 4ET. That always makes this one of the best slates of the week because we tend to have all the lineups ready in a timely manner. We have a couple of Cy Young caliber pitchers, so let's go ahead and start there! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Brandon Woodruff FD - P 10000 DK - SP 9500 Opponent - PIT (José Quintana) Park - PIT FD - 40.14 DK - 21.87 Facing Pittsburgh is one of the best matchups in DFS. The Pirates rank bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. That would put almost any pitcher in play against them, but Woodruff is one of the best arms in the NL. He hasn't necessarily shown that form this season, but an IL stint got him right back on track. The righty threw five one-run innings in his return, striking out 10 batters. That's the stud we've seen over the last two years, with Brandon collecting a 2.98 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 30 percent K rate since 2020. The oddsmakers also like him, making Woodruff a -170 favorite in this game, with Pittsburgh projected for just 3.5 runs. Robbie Ray FD - P 10600 DK - SP 9300 Opponent - OAK (Frankie Montas) Park - SEA FD - 39.17 DK - 21.28 Ray got off to an atrocious start this season, but he's recaptured the form that earned him an AL Cy Young last season. He's allowed two runs over his previous three starts, posting a 0.67 ERA, 0.67 WHIP, and 9.7 K/9 rate in that span. That's obviously the best stretch of his season, and he should keep that sparkling form against Oakland. The A's rank dead-last in OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA while scoring the second-fewest runs in baseball. That has Ray as the most favorable pitcher from an odds perspective, entering this matchup as a -160 favorite in a game with a 6.5-run total. Lucas Giolito (FD $8500 DK $6800) has been a Cy Young candidate in the past and remains way too cheap on DraftKings at just $6,800. Catcher/First Base Garrett Cooper FD - 1B 2800 DK - 1B 3100 Opponent - WSH (Erick Fedde) Park - WSH...
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/28/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 6/28/22 Tuesday was a strange day for me. I had an amazing betting day but really struggled with DFS. That's a rare occurrence, but the high scores in DFS are a major reason why. That's why we love to play in single-entry tournaments because it's nearly impossible to compete when opponents drop 250 points. It does have me motivated to bounce back here, though, so let's get started with one of the most consistent pitchers in baseball! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Sandy Alcantara FD - P 11000 DK - SP 10000 Opponent - STL (Andre Pallante) Park - STL FD - 37.13 DK - 19.56 It's impressive just how good this guy has become. Alcantara might be starting the All-Star Game for the NL, providing a 1.95 ERA and 0.95 WHIP this season. What makes him so good is his consistency, throwing at least seven innings in each of his last nine starts. Sandy's also got a 1.40 ERA and 0.76 WHIP in that span, scoring at least 36 FanDuel points in 12 of his 15 starts. That's one of the highest floors you'll see, and it should continue in a pitcher's park like Busch Stadium. The Cardinals do have a dangerous offense, but most of their elite batters hit from the right side, and Alcantara should be able to hold them down with the platoon advantage in his favor. Alex Wood FD - P 8100 DK - SP 9500 Opponent - DET (Rony García) Park - SF FD - 35.01 DK - 18.56 This is a risky play, but Wood's advanced numbers tell a different story. The funky left-hander has a 5.05 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in one of the worst seasons of his career, but we're talking about a pitcher who had a 3.50 ERA and 1.22 WHIP for his career coming into the season. The advanced numbers tell us he's the same guy, posting a 3.44 xFIP and 3.64 SIERA. That means positive regression is right around the corner, and it could start at home against one of the worst offenses in baseball. The Motor City Kitties rank 29th in both OBP and OPS while scoring the fewest runs in the league. Vegas agrees, making Wood a -210 favorite, with Detroit projected for only 3.5 runs. Jameson Taillon (FD $9200 DK $9100) has a 3.19 ERA and 1.11 WHIP this season and enters this fantastic matchup as a -300 favorite. Catcher/First Base...
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 6/26/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 6/26/22 I wasn't able to play DFS on Saturday because of some prior obligations, but that's allowing me to recharge my batteries for this Sunday slate. There's actually one pitcher on the board who could be in the best spot all season, so let's start there! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Shane McClanahan FD - P 11400 DK - SP 10300 Opponent - PIT (Roansy Contreras) Park - TB FD - 46.66 DK - 25.86 It's hard to predict 50 FanDuel points from a player, but McClanahan has that in his bag here. The rookie left-hander has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, providing a 1.81 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and 13.0 K/9 rate this season. Those all have him as one of the favorites for AL Cy Young, with Shane scoring at least 29 FanDuel points in all 14 of his starts. That makes him a worthy play against anyone but facing Pittsburgh is brilliant. The Pirates rank 28th in runs scored, OBP, OPS, and wOBA this season. That's why Mac is a -220 favorite in a game with a 6.5-run total. Brady Singer FD - P 8500 DK - SP 8100 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - KC FD - 31.83 DK - 16.43 This is the far riskier option of these two, but we love Singer in this spot. The right-hander has been excellent outside of one dud against Houston, totaling a 2.63 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 8.8 K/9 rate over his last nine starts, if you take out that one stinker. That's all you can hope for from an $8K player, and we're willing to ignore that blowup because Oakland is obviously a much easier matchup than Houston. In fact, the A's rank bottom-two in runs scored, OBP, OPS, xwOBA, and wOBA. All of that has Singer entering this matchup as a -170 favorite, with the A's projected for fewer than four runs. Dylan Cease (FD $10500 DK $9600) is averaging 22 DraftKings points per game this season and should continue that against a 26th-ranked Baltimore offense. Catcher/First Base Paul Goldschmidt FD - 1B 4300 DK - 1B 6100 Opponent - CHC (Alec Mills) Park - STL FD - 12.77 DK - 9.68 Goldshmidt is the frontrunner for NL MVP, and he's simply the hottest hitter in baseball right now. He's flirting with a .450 OBP and 1.300 OPS over his last 10 games played but has been doing severe...
