DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 9/18/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 9/18/22 Most eyes will be fixated on the NFL today, but we still have every MLB team in action. We're down to the final 2.5 weeks of the regular season, and it's crunch time for many of these clubs. That's the best time to play DFS because the elite teams throttle the ones already out of contention. That's expected to happen a few times here, two of which are in our pitching section. With that in mind, let's start with the best pitcher in the game. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Jacob deGrom FD - P 11900 DK - SP 11900 Opponent - PIT (Johan Oviedo) Park - NYM FD - 52.38 DK - 30.21 deGrom has had a hard time staying healthy, but this is the best pitcher in the world when he's on the bump. The right-hander had a 1.08 ERA and 0.55 WHIP in an unbelievable 2021 season but has backed it with a 2.01 ERA and 0.59 WHIP this year. He's done that damage while striking out 219 batters across 141 innings, scoring at least 42 FanDuel points in every start since his season debut. We were willing to use him against the Dodgers two weeks ago, so we're going to ride him against the Pirates. Pittsburgh ranks bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, xwOBA, and K rate. Not to mention, deGrom is a massive -450 favorite in this matchup, with the Buccos projected for just two runs. Framber Valdez FD - P 11400 DK - RP 10900 Opponent - OAK (Ken Waldichuk) Park - HOU FD - 40.65 DK - 20.83 It would be hard to imagine fading either of these top guys. It will be costly to use both of them, but that seems like the strategy on this slate. Valdez enters this matchup picking up a quality start in 22 straight outings. That says a lot, but his 2.38 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 8.9 K/9 rate in that span are equally as absurd. He also faces the worst offense in baseball here, with the A's ranked 29th or 30th in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. In his two starts against Oakland this year, Valdez has allowed just three runs across 17 innings. The oddsmakers expect another gem, with Valdez and the Stros sporting a -300 moneyline. Joe Ryan (FD $9600 DK $8200) threw seven no-hit innings in his most recent outing and should roll through a Guardians...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday 9/15/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday, 9/15/22 This baseball season feels like it's been going on for a decade, but the end is coming out of nowhere. We only have a few weeks remaining in the regular season, and it'll be fun to watch these clubs battle for postseason positioning. Unfortunately, we have a small card for this Thursday slate, with only eight games spread throughout the day. That means we have a small player pool to pick from, but there are still plenty of great options on the board. With that in mind, let's kick things off with some arms! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Lance McCullers Jr. FD - P 9900 DK - SP 9700 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - HOU FD - 43.91 DK - 23.89 It was a bit of a slow start for McCullers after his recovery from injury, but he's starting to hit his stride. The young right-hander has his ERA down to 2.20, allowing three runs or fewer in all five of his starts. The K rate has been slow to come around, but he has 13 Ks across 12.2 innings in his last two starts. That's the stud we've become accustomed to, with McCullers striking out 750 batters across 671 innings coming into the year. The strikeouts should be on the rise against an offense like this. Oakland ranks 29th or 30th in runs scored, OBP, OPS, and xwOBA. Not to mention, McCullers enters this matchup as a -300 favorite. Lance Lynn FD - P 10100 DK - SP 7500 Opponent - CLE (Hunter Gaddis) Park - CLE FD - 33.27 DK - 17.95 What is DraftKings thinking here? Lynn has returned to the ace we saw in past years, providing a 1.19 ERA, 0.72 WHIP, and 10.8 K/9 rate across his last six starts. Those are Cy Young calibre numbers, making it laughable that Lynn remains just $7,500 over on DK. In any case, we'll ride that recent form because Lynn has a 2.91 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over the last two years. Facing Cleveland might sound tough on the surface, but this team owns a 29th-ranked xwOBA. They simply have nothing outside Jose Ramirez, which is evident by the fact that Lynn allowed just one run across 11.2 innings in their last two matchups while striking out 12 batters. Carlos Carrasco (FD $9000 DK $9400) has had a bounceback season for the Mets, entering this matchup as a -250 favorite...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday 9/14/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 9/14/22 This is the best time to be a baseball fan. We're down to the final month of the regular season, and there's plenty to be determined. It's been fun watching these teams battle for six months, and you better believe the elite teams will go hard for these final few weeks. That's what we're going to do because this is a great time to play DFS. With that in mind, let's get started with two young pitchers. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Dylan Cease FD - P 10800 DK - SP 10300 Opponent - COL (Kyle Freeland) Park - CHW FD - 45.34 DK - 25.31 Cease missing out on the All-Star team was one of the biggest shams I've ever seen in professional sports. This right-hander has a 2.06 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 11.4 K/9 rate for the season. He's been even better as of late, allowing one run or fewer in 16 of his last 19 starts. Cease also has a 1.17 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in that span, providing one of the best K rates in baseball. All of that should be easy to duplicate against Colorado, with the Rockies always struggling on the road, sitting 29th in road OPS and dead-last in scoring. All of that has Cease and the Sox entering this matchup as a -250 favorite. Nick Lodolo FD - P 9800 DK - SP 8800 Opponent - PIT (Roansy Contreras) Park - CIN FD - 36.84 DK - 19.62 Lodolo's season-long numbers are nothing to write home about, but he's starting to find it in the second half. Over his last nine starts, the southpaw is slinging a 2.80 ERA, 10.6 WHIP, and 10.5 K/9 rate. He's also got an 11.3 K/9 rate for the year, and it's clear this kid will be a strikeout stud for years to come. He's done that against some good offenses, and he should have no issues mowing down the Pirates. Pittsburgh ranks bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, K rate, and xwOBA. That has Lodolo entering this matchup as a -190 favorite, with the Buccos projected for only 3.5 runs. Cal Quantrill (FD $7700 DK $7200) has a 1.80 ERA and 0.95 WHIP across his last seven starts and should keep that going against a 26th-ranked Angels offense. Catcher/First Base Pete Alonso FD - 1B 3600 DK - 1B 5500 Opponent - CHC (Drew Smyly) Park - NYM FD -...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 9/11/22

Posted by on Sep 11, 2022 in Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks, DraftKings MLB Picks, FanDuel MLB Picks, featured |

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 9/11/22 Today is a fantastic day. Not only is it Week 1 of the NFL season, but this marks my final regular season day in my season-long fantasy baseball leagues! That means this is the most important sports day of the season because I have more fantasy teams in those two sports than I'd like to admit. It has me zoned in on this Sunday card, though, because I have numerous teams on the bubble of the playoffs. I feel like our projections are on point, so let's go ahead and get started with the arms! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Aaron Nola FD - P 11000 DK - SP 10800 Opponent - WSH (Aníbal Sánchez) Park - PHI FD - 46.61 DK - 25.6 Nola had a nightmarish outing against Arizona last week, but he's been astounding outside of that. In his other 26 starts this season, Aaron has accumulated a 3.01 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 10.1 K/9 rate. That WHIP and K rate has made him one of the best producers in fantasy, and he should maintain those averages against Washington. This team traded away Josh Bell and Juan Soto at the trade deadline and might have the least talented lineup in baseball. Nola has walloped Washington all year, tallying a 1.66 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in three starts against them. Not to mention, he's likely to be a -300 favorite in this matchup. Taijuan Walker FD - P 8000 DK - SP 7700 Opponent - MIA (Jesús Luzardo) Park - MIA FD - 35.48 DK - 18.15 It's hard to understand why Walker remains so cheap on both sites. He's had two horrific outings in which he allowed 15 combined runs, but he's close to that total in his other 22 starts. In fact, Taijuan has a 2.71 ERA and 1.13 WHIP if you take out those two stinkers, and we're willing to do that since it was the Braves and Phillies. Facing Miami is a much easier matchup, with the Marlins ranked 27th in runs scored, OBP, OPS, and wOBA. Walker has certainly had his way with them, allowing three runs or fewer in their last four matchups while posting a 2.59 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 7.9 K/9 rate in those starts. Brady Singer (FD $9200 DK $8700) has 15 Ks in two starts against the lowest-scoring team in baseball and should have no issues with the Tigers here. Catcher/First Base Paul...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday, 9/7/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday, 9/8/22 I'm filling in for this Thursday card, which will be a small one. It's opening day of the NFL, and it's leaving us with just seven games in total and four making up the main card beginning at 645ET. We'll provide you with picks throughout both slates because there are simply not many players available. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the pitchers! Now's your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Corbin Burnes FD - P 9800 DK - 9700 Opponent - SF (Jakob Junis) Park - MIL FD - 41.6 DK - 23.67 It's bizarre to see Burnes below $10K on both sites. The 2021 NL Cy Young has been one of the best pitchers in baseball for some time now, totaling a 2.63 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 32 percent K rate since 2020. That's three years of mowing down bats, with Corbin collecting a 3.02 ERA and 1.01 WHIP this season. He's actually struggled a bit recently, but it's lowered his price enough that we can't fade this guy. We say that because San Fran sends out one of the least talented lineups in baseball, with Burnes entering this matchup as a -200 favorite, with the Giants projected for just 3.5 runs. Kyle Gibson FD - P 9100 DK - SP 5700 Opponent - MIA (Sandy Alcantara) Park - PHI FD - 32.96 DK - 16.24 The price discrepancies on this guy are incredible. I can't remember seeing such a drastic price difference, but it makes Gibson one of the best options over on DraftKings. It's easy to see why they're so different, though, because Gibson has mixed gems and duds all season. He surrendered seven runs in his most recent outing but generated a 2.41 ERA and 1.10 WHIP across his previous six starts before that. The simple fact is that Gibson does well in good matchups and struggles with menacing lineups. Miami is far from a problematic matchup, with the Marlins ranked 27th in runs scored, OBP and xwOBA. That was on full display when Kyle allowed just five baserunners across six innings against them two weeks ago. Catcher/First Base Paul Goldschmidt FD - 1B 4300 DK - 1B 6300 Opponent - WSH (Josiah Gray) Park - STL FD - 14.49 DK - 10.99 We only have seven games on this schedule, so we have to get the NL MVP into our build. This has been the second-best hitter in baseball...
