DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 10/5/22 I can't believe we're here. This is the final day of the regular season! That makes me sad because it's always bizarre to have your baseball routine taken away. In any case, it's been a fun year, and we still have playoffs ahead of us. This particular card could be frustrating, though. Every single team has things decided, and it could get ugly in terms of pitching. Many of these guys will be held back, and many hitters will be kept out of the lineups as well. We're going to do our best to project how it will shape out but be wary of this final slate! Also, we'd like to thank you for reading throughout the year! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Pitchers Shohei Ohtani FD - P 11200 DK - SP 10900 Opponent - OAK (Ken Waldichuk) Park - OAK FD - 48.68 DK - 27.06 It's unclear how long Shohei will pitch here, but he's easily the best option on the board. The two-way player has a 2.35 ERA and 1.03 WHIP this year, pitching even better in the second half. In fact, Ohtani has a 1.66 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 11.7 K/9 rate since the first week of June. He's obliterated Oakland all year, too, obtaining a 0.92 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in their three meetings. That's no surprise since the A's rank bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. In addition, LA enters this matchup as a -250 favorite, with Oakland projected for only three runs. Framber Valdez FD - P 10700 DK - RP 10200 Opponent - PHI (Bailey Falter) Park - HOU FD - 36.71 DK - 19.3 We have no clue how long any pitcher on this slate will last, but Houston says they're going to play their guys out. That's one of the only teams that we know of that's said that, and it makes Valdez an advantageous choice. The left-hander has actually been struggling as of late, but you know the Stros want to get him rolling heading into the postseason. Before his two most recent duds, Valdez set an MLB record with 25 straight quality starts. He also had a 2.41 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 8.6 K/8 rate in that sensational stretch. We also don't mind that he could face a B-squad Phillies lineup, putting up just three hits and no runs on Tuesday. Not to mention, he's a -180 favorite in this...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 10/2/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 10/2/22 It saddens me to say this, but this is the final Sunday of the regular season. We have just three days remaining after today, and it's sad to see the everyday grind of baseball disappear. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer regular season sports to playoffs when it comes to DFS. We get more games and more dynamics to discuss, and the familiarity of it always keeps me interested. I'm obviously excited for the postseason, but I'll miss the grind of every team playing every day. I might eat my words when we look at lineups, though, because teams will do wacky things on this final Sunday of the regular season. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Robbie Ray FD 10200 DK 10500 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - OAK FD - 46.35 DK - 25.34 I have to admit that Ray's 2021 Cy Young campaign was one of the flukiest awards I've seen in sports, but this guy can still be a stud. The left-hander has been particularly good as of late, tallying a 2.72 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 10.5 K/9 rate since June 5. That's the ace we saw throughout most of last season, and we absolutely adore a matchup with the A's. Oakland ranks bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. That's on full display when you see that Ray has a 1.82 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 12.8 K/9 rate in their four matchups this year. All of that has him and Seattle entering this sensational matchup as a -300 favorite! Shane Bieber FD 10600 DK 10700 Opponent - KC (Max Castillo) Park - KC FD - 43.34 DK - 23.78 The pitching selections on this slate aren't anything special, but these two aces are. Bieber is having a bounce-back season for the Guardians, generating a 2.91 ERA and 1.03 WHIP on the year. His recent form is just as ridiculous, registering a 2.66 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 9.2 K.9 rate since May 14. That sort of form makes him enticing against anyone, but Kansas City is one of the best matchups in the sport. They currently rank 24th in runs scored, 21st in OPS, and 26th in xwOBA. He's faced KC twice this season, totaling a 0.71 ERA and 0.55 WHIP against them. Tyler Anderson (FD $8600 DK $8200) gets a revenge game against the Rockies as a -250 favorite. That's scary since Colorado has the...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 9/28/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 9/28/22 Next Wednesday is the final day of the regular season. It's been a fantastic run up to this point, and it's been awesome grinding DFS every day. That can be the most grueling aspect for many DFS players, but it helps give you an edge that can't be valued. It's also fun to watch these clubs battle for the few playoff spots remaining, and it makes many of these matchups competitive. With that in mind, let's start with the AL Cy Young favorite. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Justin Verlander FD - P 11200 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - ARI (Zac Gallen) Park - HOU FD - 39.98 DK - 22.41 It's crazy to see a 40-year-old post a season like this after missing the last two years. It was always apparent that this would be a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer but to have a 1.82 ERA and 0.84 WHIP after missing two years is ridiculous. His consistency has been colossal, scoring at least 27 FanDuel points in 24 of his 26 starts this year. That's the All-Star we've become accustomed to, and he should have no issues with Arizona. The Diamondbacks sit 24th in OBP, 23rd in OPS, and 25th in xwOBA. All of that has JV entering this matchup as a -200 favorite, with the D'Backs projected for fewer than three runs. Taijuan Walker FD - P 8700 DK - SP 7900 Opponent - MIA (Jesús Luzardo) Park - NYM FD - 38.77 DK - 20.03 Carrasco was a huge disappointment on Tuesday, but we're going right back to the well with a Mets pitcher at home against Miami. That's a recipe that should work more often than not, and we believe Taijuan will provide some elite value. The right-hander has allowed four runs or fewer in 25 of his 27 starts, totaling a 2.77 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in those outings. The two duds were against the Phillies and Braves, so facing Miami should keep the prior trend churning. Over his last six starts against the Marlins dating back to last season, Walker has a 2.42 ERA and 0.93 WHIP. He also enters this matchup as a -190 favorite in a game with a seven-run total. George Kirby (FD $9200 DK $8400) is one of the best pitchers in the AL, and he should post another quality start against a 23rd-ranked Rangers offense. Catcher/First Base Matt Olson FD - 1B 3300 DK -...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 9/25/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 9/25/22 We have just 10 days remaining in the regular season! That means these final two weeks will be chaotic in terms of roster management because these teams do some funky things to close the year. With that said, there are plenty of playoff implications and roster bonuses to be had, so all the studs should be in their respective lineups. With that in mind, let's start with the best pitcher on this slate! Now's your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Max Scherzer FD - P 10800 DK - SP 10900 Opponent - OAK (JP Sears) Park - OAK FD - 53.25 DK - 30.4 Mad Max has been mauling opposing hitters for a decade now, and he looks as good as ever this season. The former Cy Young winner has a 2.15 ERA and 0.88 WHIP on the year. He's also got 162 strikeouts across 134 innings, establishing himself as one of the best strikeout pitchers in the sport. You might be concerned that Scherzer just came off the IL, but six perfect innings in his return to action should alleviate any concerns. The matchup might be the best part of this, though, with Oakland ranked bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. That has Mad Max and the Mets entering this matchup as a -300 favorite. Edward Cabrera FD - P 9200 DK - SP 8500 Opponent - WSH (Aníbal Sánchez) Park - MIA FD - 38.89 DK - 21.06 The Marlins have some tremendous young pitching, but this guy might be the ace of the future. The 24-year-old has a 2.91 ERA and 1.09 WHIP, allowing one run or fewer in seven of his 12 starts. That upside is no surprise when you look at his minor league averages, amassing a 2.56 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 10.8 K.9 rate since 2018. The stuff is there for Roansy to be a stud, and he should add to those absurd averages in this matchup with Washington. The Nats traded Juan Soto and Josh Bell at the trade deadline, sitting bottom-10 in almost every offensive statistic. In their one meeting two months ago, Cabrera allowed just two hits to this lackluster lineup. Dylan Cease (FD $10500 DK $10800) has been one of the best pitchers in the AL and should roll through the Tigers as a -275 favorite. Catcher/First Base Pete Alonso FD - 1B 3900 DK - 1B 5400 Opponent - OAK (JP Sears) Park...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday 9/21/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 9/21/22 There are only two weeks left in the regular season! That sounds crazy because it felt like I was drafting my season-long drafts just a few months ago. Time flies when you're having fun, and that's always the case with baseball going on every day. This is another Wednesday card, though, and that means every team is in action. It also means the games are spread throughout the day, so we'll do our best to use teams in the two main slates. With that in mind, let's get started with the 2021 AL Cy Young. Now's your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Robbie Ray FD - P 10000 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - OAK FD - 45.5 DK - 25.19 It was a rough start to the year for Ray, but he's been all Seattle fans could hope for in the second half. Despite allowing five runs in his most recent outing, Ray has a 2.85 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 10.4 K/9 rate across his last 17 starts. He's actually scored at least 37 FanDuel points in all but four of those, and that should be easy to reach against Oakland. The A's rank bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. That's on full display when you see that Ray has registered a 2.41 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 13.5 K/9 rate in their three matchups this year. We also don't mind that he's a -200 favorite, with the A's projected for just three runs. Dustin May FD - P 8200 DK - SP 8700 Opponent - ARI (Madison Bumgarner) Park - LAD FD - 38.07 DK - 20.21 It's just a matter of time before May becomes an ace in this league. The youngster has shown flashes of it, maintaining a 3.46 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in limited time this year. He also threw five no-hit innings in his most recent outing, and the pitch count is the only thing keeping him from being a $10K player. He's still thrown at least 82 pitches in three of his last four starts, and as long as he does that, May should be in line for a quality start. Arizona is a good matchup for just that, with the Diamondbacks ranked 22nd in OBP and 21st in OPS. The oddsmakers love May, too, making the Dodgers a -300 favorite, with the D'Backs projected for just 3.5 runs. Bailey Ober (FD $7100...
