DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday 11/6
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 11/6/22 If you played DFS over the weekend, you probably had a headache at some point. That Friday card was one of the craziest things I've ever seen, with dozens of big-name players getting ruled out. It feels like that's the way the NBA is headed, and following the news will put you way ahead of the field. The good news is that we have no team playing a B2B, which should limit some absences. We also have just three games making up this tiny Sunday card, but there's still plenty to discuss! Head on for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $9900 DK - $10100 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 49.34 DK - 51.24 Ja just had his worst game of the season, but we need to look at the game script. Memphis was up by 40 points in the second half in that win over Charlotte, limiting Morant to a season-low in minutes. He still provided his elite per-minute averages, dropping 33 DK points across 24 minutes. That brings him to an average of 47 DraftKings points across 31 minutes a game. That's the highest total among all the healthy players, making Morant impossible to fade on a three-game slate. He's simply doing everything for this Grizzlies offense with Jaren Jackson Jr out, and we certainly don't expect him to struggle against a 25th-ranked Washington defense from last year. Reggie Jackson FD - $4700 DK - $5300 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 22.87 DK - 23.91 I might be an idiot for riding Reggie, but he will eventually have some ceiling games at a diminished price tag. R-Jax was well above $6K in a similar role last season, and this offense needs him to do more in the absence of Kawhi Leonard. The usage is still there for him to be a stud, with Jackson averaging 13 shots and 32.3 minutes over the last six outings. That's the same role we saw when he was $1,000 more last year, and it's just a matter of time before the shots start falling. He averaged 29 DraftKings points across 31 minutes a night last year, and a total like that would be impressive from such...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 11/2
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 11/2/22 This scheduling by the NBA has been maddening. We had just four games yesterday and two games tomorrow. That means we're looking at one of the largest slates of the season here, with all but a handful of teams taking the floor. That means we have a massive player pool to choose from, which can complicate things from a DFS perspective. It does lead to a ton of value, though, and we have some great plays to ride for this Wednesday card! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Jrue Holiday FD - $8300 DK - $8200Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 43.23 DK - 45.36 Everyone assumes that Giannis Antetokounmpo takes over when Khris Middleton (wrist) is out, but Holiday does some serious damage too. The elite two-way player sees his usage, minutes, and shot attempts increase without Middleton, combining for 119 DraftKings points over the last two games. He actually averaged over 40 fantasy points per game when Khris was out last year, and we love that he's playing 37 minutes a night in that span too. One of those masterpieces came against this disastrous Detroit defense, with Jrue dropping 53 fantasy points on Monday. That's no surprise since the Pistons have the worst defensive rating in the NBA. Anfernee Simons FD - $7800 DK - $7600Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 38.87 DK - 43.24 Simons was the beneficiary of the C.J. McCollum trade, and he looks like an All-Str whenever Damian Lillard is out of the lineup. That's forced Simons into the starting point guard job, posting a 33 percent usage rate when Dame is off the floor. This expanded role led to one of the best games of his career last weekend, amassing 53 DraftKings points on Friday. It's no surprise since he's expected to play 35-40 minutes and take 15-20 shots, which is massive for a sharpshooter like this. Memphis is a marvelous matchup, too, with the Griz ranked 29th in points allowed this season. Shooting Guard Paul George FD - $9000 DK - $9800Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 45.33 DK - 48.4 It's been a struggle for the Clippers this season, and PG13 certainly hasn't helped. He knew that...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday 10/30
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 10/30/22 I just finished watching the late games on Saturday, and it was a heck of a basketball night. Utah pulled out another shocking win over Memphis, while OKC overcame a 16-point deficit in the final five minutes to upset Dallas. Seeing random players on these bad teams is something I love about the NBA because there's so much talent littered throughout the league. That's why I love the NBA because these guys play basketball at an unfathomable level. With that in mind, let's kick things with one of the most ridiculous players in the league. Head on for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $12000 DK - $12200 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 62.6 DK - 67.42 We have a ton of value plays on this slate, so getting a guy like Doncic into your lineup is imperative. This has been the best player in fantasy, and it's likely to continue when you see his league-leading 40 percent usage rate. Dallas wants Doncic to do everything for this offense right now, scoring at least 66 fantasy points in four of five games. He's also leading the NBA with 69 DraftKings points per game, averaging 35.2 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 9.4 assists. That's why he's earned this $12K price tag, but it's also why he needs to be in every lineup out there. Orlando is an outstanding matchup, too, with the Magic ranked 19th in defensive efficiency ratings. They're also missing all of their guards, and Doncic should feast against what's possibly the worst roster in the league. Tre Jones FD - $6000 DK - $6100 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 34.25 DK - 33.84 The Josh Primo situation in San Antonio is unfortunate, but it's giving Jones full reign on the point guard position. He's started every game, averaging 29 DraftKings points per game across 31 minutes a night. That's the guy we saw last season, with Tre totaling a 31-point average as a starter last year. He's taking over the Dejounte Murray role in this San Antonio offense, and he's only going to get better at the age of 22. Devin Vassell being out of the lineup is another boost to his value,...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 10/26
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 10/26/22 Tuesday's slate was a rough on in terms of late-game news, and it looks like this is the new NBA. Teams will rest players whether they're tanking or not, which can be frustrating for DFS managers. The most important aspect of DFS is following the news up to first tip. It's essential to follow up after as well because mid-slate adjustments could bank you a massive GPP. Knowing which players will step up in those circumstances is one of the most important things when evaluating these articles, and we'll keep sending value plays your way! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Tre Jones FD - $6300 DK - $5500 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 32.42 DK - 31.86 Why are these DFS sites still sleeping on Jones? This is the new starting point guard in Popovich's system, and he's played at a $7K level in this role. Tre started in 11 games last season, averaging 33.2 DraftKings points per game. That's essentially the guy we've seen this year, posting a 30-point average through the opening week. The simple fact is, this is the primary ball-handler for this underwhelming offense, and he should continue to produce as long as he's playing 30-35 minutes a night. His role should rise even more here in the absence of Devin Vassell, which is awesome since Minnesota is surrendering the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing PGs. Dennis Smith Jr. FD - $6500 DK - $6000 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 37.65 DK - 36.02 How wild is it that we're recommending Smith Jr this early into the season? That shows how badly Charlotte has been bit by the injury bug, playing without LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, and Miles Bridges. That has forced DSJ into the starting lineup, dropping 37 DK points across 33 minutes in this expanded role on Sunday. He scored at least 31 DK points in all four games he played at least 25 minutes last year, and we know he can produce whenever given the opportunity. New York didn't give him that chance, and you know he'll be motivated in this revenge game. With all that said, DSJ is a tough sell if Rozier...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday 10/23/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 10/23/22 This opening week of the NBA season has been magical. I'm one of the few people who prefer to watch the NBA over the NFL, and it has me pegged as your Sunday writer for the rest of the season. The prize pools always tend to be smaller, but it's an excellent time to capitalize on some of the amateur players. We also tend to have smaller slates, and that's certainly the case with this seven-game card. With that in mind, let's get started with one of the best guards in the NBA! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Trae Young FD - $8700 DK - $9700 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 48.98 DK - 52.7 We weren't so sure what to expect from this Young-Murray backcourt, but it looks like these are the exact same All-Star players. The reason we love them for DFS is that these sites clearly overreacted to that move, making these guys about $1,000 cheaper than last year. That makes no sense, with Young scoring at least 50 DraftKings points in both games this season. The assists are what had DFS managers concerned, but he's handed out 13 a night with Dejounte. Getting to face Charlotte is sensational, too, with the Hornets ranked fifth in pace and 22nd in defensive efficiency last year. In their final three matchups last season, Trae averaged 46 fantasy points per game! Dennis Smith Jr. FD - $5200 DK - $5400 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 31.16 DK - 29.93 How crazy is it that we have DSJ in here in the opening week of the season? Many people weren't even sure Smith would play in the NBA this season, but he's been one of their best guards through the opening week. The former Top-10 pick has 25 and 29 DK points in the first two games of the year, playing 22 minutes a night. He's done that damage off the bench, but we anticipate him playing 35 minutes as the starting point guard here. We say that because LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, and Miles Bridges are all out of the lineup. Those were the three best players last year, and we...
