Daily Fantasy MLB Pitchers and Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 7/7/18 We already highlighted Charlie Morton, James Paxton and Max Scherzer in our Saturday 7/7/18 picks article. We also highlighted the Red Sox and Brewers as popular game stacks at their respective team price points. Here we will look at some other (possible GPP) considerations. Pitchers Blake Snell FD 9900 DK 12700 Opponent - NYM (Steven Matz) Park - NYMFD - 37.72 DK - 19.87 Snell is the third most expensive arm on DraftKings today, and I'm not completely sure I'm sold on that price tag when we can get Morton and Paxton without as much salary commitment. On FanDuel for less than $10K however, I am all in on Snell. Especially in Citi Field against the Mets, who hold the second lowest team wOBA against southpaws (.280) while striking out second most against the split (26% of the time). Snell has certainly proven himself worthy of our consideration, allowing one run or less in every game in an 8 game stretch since May 24th. Snell is backing up a 2.24 ERA with a 3.54 xFIP while striking out an elite 10.19 batters per nine. He's one of only five pitchers with more than ten wins at this point and is on pace to post career best numbers in every meaningful category here in his third season. Snell is a superb option in a perfect matchup and for that FanDuel price, he has upside for days. Robbie Ray FD 9000 DK 9200 Opponent - SD (Tyson Ross) Park - ARIFD - 37.38 DK - 20.5 I mentioned in the picks article that there are several good arms on the short four-game main slate, and I meant it. In addition to Scherzer, who I recommended for cash, we have Ross Stripling, David Price, and my favorite of the bunch, Robbie Ray. Ray missed nearly two months with an oblique strain. In two starts since his return, Ray shut down the Marlins through six and then got rocked by the Cardinals for six runs in five innings. Today he sees a phenomenal matchup against the Padres who like the Mets are terrible against left-handed pitching. Their .296 team wOBA is fifth lowest in baseball, and they strikeout third-most against the split (24.1%). The DBacks are -170 favorites and the Padres project...

Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 7/7/18 Welcome back, friends! Saturday in the majors begins with a pair of early games, but for this article, we'll focus primarily on the afternoon set of nine games with some considerations for your evening lineups as well. Pitcher Charlie Morton FD 10800 DK 12200 Opponent - CHW (James Shields) Park - HOU FD - 44.54 DK - 24.07 We've got a lot of strong arms going today, and with Max on the main slate, Charlie Morton leads the way in the afternoon. Morton, who put up a stellar 2017 campaign is following it up with an even better 2018. He's heading into the All-Star break with a top ten xFIP and top five K/9. He's already sitting at 10 wins through 17 starts and seems virtually untouchable at the moment surrendering just two earned runs in 19.2 innings over his last three starts combined while striking out 28 in that stretch. He'll toe the rubber today against the White Sox in a game that sees the Astros as an insane -301 favorite with Chicago projecting for less than three runs. We'll have to sacrifice a bit with our position players, but Morton is the surest play in town and holds the top points projection by a country mile in the afternoon. James Paxton FD 10300 DK 12500 Opponent - COL (Kyle Freeland) Park - SEA FD - 40.04 DK - 21.74 Having an equally successful season is James Paxton of the Mariners. Paxton sits just above Morton in the xFIP standings with a 3.00, eighth overall among qualified starters, and just one-hundredth of a K/9 separates the two. The price on Paxton is getting up there as well, but if you do need a couple hundred in savings, he's a solid pivot off of Morton. He's facing the Rockies who aren't shy against southpaws but does get the good fortune of facing them on his home turf as opposed to theirs. Safeco is a top five pitchers park in the league, and Colorado is a bottom third road offense this season. Seattle is a modest -178 favorite to open, so the odds aren't as favorable, but...
Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 7/1/18
Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 7/1/18 My oh my, can you believe it's July?! The season is at the midway point, the All-Star break is but days away, the trade deadline looms, and before you know it we'll be calling every game a must win for those teams on the brink. For now, however, we've got another fun-filled Sunday slate of action with plenty to break down for our daily fantasy purposes, so what are we still doing here? On to the picks! Pitcher Ross Stripling FD 9100 DK 9700 Opponent - COL (Chad Bettis) Park - LAD FD - 42 DK - 22.6 There's no real shortage of solid arms on today's slate, which is a good problem to have. Don't fret, there are still some gas cans to take advantage of with our bats, but we've got several strong options to consider on the bump as well. Stripling leads the way with the top points per dollar projection and second highest raw point projections among starting pitchers at home against the Rockies. Stripling, who moved to the starting rotation over several appearances out of the pen has been a solid arm for the Dodgers, posting a 2.75 xFIP (only four qualified pitchers are sitting on a lower number), with a K/9 over 10 and a mere 1.40 BB/9. Today he takes the Rockies out of Coors Field, which is a significant boost when facing Colorado. Despite their top ten team wOBA this season, the Rockies sit twenty-second overall on the road this year while striking out 23.6% of the time against the split. Everything plays in Stripling's favor this afternoon, as the Dodgers open as -201 favorites, and for a sub $10K price tag on both sites feel free to utilize him everywhere. James Paxton FD 9800 DK 12100 Opponent - KC (Brad Keller) Park - SEA FD - 43.35 DK - 23.57 The only pitcher with a higher raw points projection in our MLB projection system than Stripling is James Paxton. Paxton comes to the hill today with a 3.02 xFIP and striking out the sixth most batter per nine in the majors. He's run into some hiccups along the way, admittedly against some of the most lethal offenses in the game, (BOS, NYY), but today there is little concern as he faces...
Daily Fantasy MLB Pitchers and Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 6/23/18
Daily Fantasy MLB Pitchers and Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 6/23/18 We already highlighted Zack Greinke, and Lance McCullers Jr. in our Saturday 6/23/18 picks article. We also highlighted the Rockies and Astros as popular game stacks at their respective team price points. Here we will look at some other (possible GPP) considerations. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Trevor Bauer FD 11300 DK 13800 Opponent - DET (Francisco Liriano) Park - CLE FD - 46.26 DK - 24.79 I was originally going to put Trevor Bauer in the picks article over Greinke, then I looked at the slates and realized the sites decided to place the Det/Cle game with it's 6:05 PM start time in the all-day slate only. So, if you are one of those adventurous types who enjoy playing the all-day slates, then you certainly have to stop and consider Bauer on the bump as your starting pitcher. Bauer comes into the day with a 3.04 xFIP, tenth lowest in the majors. He's striking out 11.53 batters per nine, an elite top five number. He's limited the long ball, giving up a home run every 20 innings pitched with only five balls leaving the park all season. If the numbers aren't enough for you, then how about the matchup? The Tigers .299 wOBA is the sixth lowest against RHP this season, and they strikeout 21.5% of the time against the split, which isn't a ton, but against a pitcher like Bauer does it even matter? He's going to get the K's, and most likely the win. Cleveland opens as -260 favorites in this one. It'll be cloudy in Cleveland, but it's looking like it should be dry, so if you're running the all-day slate, be sure to get some exposure to Bauer. Jacob deGrom FD 11700 DK 13400 Opponent - LAD (Clayton Kershaw) Park - NYM FD - 41.08 DK - 22.43 On the main slate, this is one of those rare times where we'll target a pitcher opposing Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw is making his return from the DL tonight in the big apple, and the Mets open as -141 favorites, which isn't overly impressive but is solid. This makes Jacob deGrom an excellent play against a Dodgers team projecting for just 3.2 implied runs, one of the lowest totals on the day. deGrom is an early favorite for the NL...

Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 6/23/18 Welcome friends! Saturday's MLB brings us eleven early games with four on the later set. We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Zack Greinke FD 8900 DK 9700 Opponent - PIT (Joe Musgrove) Park - PIT FD - 35.75 DK - 19 Pitching isn't great today, the top option of the day is only available on the all-day slate on both sites with Trevor Bauer, and the Indians playing the Tigers. Among what we're left to work with on the early slate, Zach Greinke is a strong option, priced below $10K on both sites which will help us with our bats on a Coors Field slate. Greinke and the Diamondbacks are in Pittsburgh for a set with the Pirates. Pittsburgh is an average offense on paper. Their combined .312 wOBA against RHP is league average, and they rarely strikeout, with a 19.2 K%, third lowest in the split. Still, Greinke is once again proving to be among the best in the game, with the fifteenth lowest xFIP among qualified pitchers through the first half of the season, and over a strikeout per inning pitched. He's struggled some with the long ball but sees a park boost going from Chase to PNC Park, and Pittsburgh hasn't been a power offense this season with just 58 home runs as a team. All in all, Greinke is among the best ways to go in cash today, and if you think he can get the pirates swinging, he could provide some upside on the price as a GPP play. Andrew Suarez FD 7300 DK 7900 Opponent - SD (Jordan Lyles) Park - SF FD - 33.17 DK - 16.7 In the SP2 slot on DraftKings for the early slate give some consideration to Andrew Suarez of the Giants. Don't let the two wins in eleven starts fool you, the rookie southpaw is quietly piecing together a solid season statistically, and remember he has to rely on the Giants offense to get the wins. In spite of a 4.70 ERA, Suarez is sitting on a 3.28 xFIP and has limited opponents to two runs or less in three of his last four starts. He's got a solid 23.5 K%, and today he gets the luxury...
