Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates - 1/21/18 Welcome to the Sunday update article. What We Know Kyrie Irving will play this afternoon against the Magic. Irving's shoulder held him back in Thursday night's game against the Sixers, but was a full participant in practice on Saturday and has been cleared to suit up today as the Celtics host Orlando. What We're Waiting to Know Brandon Ingram and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are listed as questionable for today's game with the Knicks. Both Ingram and KCP participated in the Lakers practice yesterday after sitting out Friday night's tilt with the Pacers. More word on both players status should be released following shoot-around. Manu Ginobili will be a game-time decision tonight. Manu injured his thigh in Monday night's game with Atlanta and subsequently missed the following two games, he will be a game time call for the Spurs tilt with Indiana tonight but with this being the last game of the day, it would be wise to avoid him, as well as Kyle Anderson who could see diminished playing time if Ginobili returns to action tonight. Every Lineup Guys Ish Smith FD - $6400 DK - $6000Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 33.68 DK - 33.49 Our first every lineup guy is pretty much a no-brainer at a very weak position today. Ish Smith has been excellent stepping into the role for the injured Reggie Jackson, and sure the price has risen significantly since he stepped into the starting role in late December, but it's still low for the production he brings to the Detroit rotation. Smith came just a hair shy of paying 5X PPD against a top ten Washington defense on Friday, and today will see a much better matchup against a Brooklyn defense not only allowing the most FP to the position on average this season, but also allowing nearly 20 FP more than their season average over their last five games. Point guard is sparse on this four game slate, but...

What We Know Giannis Antetokounmpo and Malcolm Brogdon are out for Milwaukee. Giannis will miss the Bucks next two games beginning tonight in Philly as he deals with lingering knee pain. Brogdon meanwhile is dealing with a personal matter that will keep him out tonight. Tony Snell and Matthew Dellavedova could stand to benefit from the absence of Antetokounmpo and Brogdon while Khris Middleton, who sees a 10% bump in usage with no freak on the court becomes an incredible play tonight for Milwaukee. DeAndre Jordan remains out for the Clippers, Austin Rivers is a game-time decision. Jordan will miss his fourth straight contest while dealing with a sprained ankle. Montrezl Harrell has continued to benefit from Jordan's absence, and despite the inflated price he still has paid over 5X PPD in each of the last four games. Rivers meanwhile has missed ten games with a bruised heel and is on pace to return to the rotation, once he is cleared to rejoin the team Milos Teodosic, and Jawun Evans will see their run cut into. Trevor Ariza and Gerald Green will serve their second game of suspension tonight. Ariza and Green were the only two players suspended after several Rockets entered the Clippers locker room following Monday night's game. They sat out against Minnesota on Thursday, and will serve the second game of their suspension tonight while the Rockets face the Warriors. P.J. Tucker, Luc Mbah a Moute and Ryan Anderson will again benefit from their absence and all make for intriguing plays tonight in a fast paced, high scoring affair with Golden State. J.J. Redick and Jerryd Bayless are out for Philadelphia. Reddick will be out for at least two weeks with a leg injury, while it was announced earlier that Bayless is nursing a sore wrist. T.J. McConnell and Timothe Luwawu could see added time with the two Philly wings off the court. J.J. Barea is available to play. JJ was originally ruled out for tonight's game...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/20/18 Saturday in the NBA brings us a seven game main slate tipping off at 7ET with plenty of fast paced action and high scoring projections coming out of Vegas. The fantasy points should come fast and furiously with lots of solid plays to consider, so let’s take a look at the top plays at each position as generated by our system. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Point guard Stephen Curry FD - $9500 DK - $10300Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 51.81 DK - 53.82 Two games will stand out as our favorites tonight, starting with this one which sees the Warriors traveling into Houston for a game with the Rockets. This game not only has the fastest combined pace of the night, but sports a ridiculous 234.5 projection coming out of Vegas. There will be fantasy value aplenty coming out of this game, and on the Golden State side it starts with Steph Curry. Curry is now three games back from a two game absence due to an ankle injury and has been straight heat each time out most recently dropping 30 points while coming a rebound shy of a double double against the Bulls. Chris Paul is a solid defender, but Houston as a team is average on paper against opposing PG’s and Steph should have no trouble at all eclipsing the 5X PPD mark in this one. Steph will be in my lineups in all formats tonight. Eric Bledsoe FD - $7000 DK - $7600Opponent - PHIProj Pts FD - 39.84 DK - 40.4 Matthew Dellavedova FD - $3500 DK - $3300Opponent - PHIProj Pts FD - 19.32 DK - 20.55 Giannis Antetokounmpo has already been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Sixers. This leaves about 40 minutes up for grabs in the Milwaukee rotation, and Eric Bledsoe and Matthew Dellavedova both stand to benefit greatly from his absence. Bledsoe sees a five percent usage bump with the freak off the court and for his price should be all but guaranteed to hit 35FP with a ceiling pushing 45-50. Philly will counter with T.J. McConnell and Jerryd Bayless, neither of whom will be able to keep up with him. Dellavedova meanwhile is strictly a tournament only play, priced at the minimum across the...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/16/18

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/16/18 Tuesday night brings us a four game slate of NBA action featuring five of the ten worst defenses in the Association and DFSR is going position by position to bring you the top plays of the day, so let’s check out tonight’s picks… Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA or NFL? Be sure to read our free NBA and NFL Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Point guard Kyrie Irving FD - $8200 DK - $8500Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 44.41 DK - 45.59 Point guard isn’t a position we want to skimp at tonight. Payton? No thank you. Teague? Eh…and I'm not even looking Rondo’s way. So that gives us Damian Lillard and Kyrie Irving. I’ll get to Lillard in a moment, but first up Kyrie. Irving and the Celtics are hosting the Pelicans tonight who play the sixth fastest game and the hold the seventh worst team defensive rating in basketball. Kyrie will benefit greatly from this matchup against the aforementioned Rondo who just doesn’t even try defensively anymore. Point guards are scoring 45.9 FP on average against New Orleans, which would be right in the sweet spot for Kyrie who should hold a floor of 40 with a ceiling of 50 or higher if this one stays as competitive as the 4.5 spread from Vegas suggests. Kyrie is a play I’ll have in all formats tonight. Damian Lillard FD - $9300 DK - $9300Opponent - PHOProj Pts FD - 43.29 DK - 45.12 Next up we have Damian Lillard. Lillard is now three games back from his most recent stint on the injury report with a calf strain and certainly looks to be completely healthy. He’s posted an average of 44FP and 34 minutes per game against the Rockets, Pelicans and TimberWolves. Over their last five games, the Suns have ranked worse than all of those teams, allowing an average of 51.7 FP to opposing point guards in that stretch. This is the one game Vegas is holding back a projection on, though I anticipate it will easily be the highest scoring game of the night by a mile. Point guard is a position where I won’t really stray too much. It should be relatively easy to fit both of these guys into our lineups tonight, and I plan to do just that in all formats. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD...

What We Know Tyler Johnson and Justise Winslow hope to play against the Bucks this afternoon. Johnson is dealing with a pinched nerve in his neck but it hasn't really hindered him on the court, as he played 31 minutes against the Pacers on Wednesday with the issue. Having had a few days of rest he hopes to be good to go today. Winslow meanwhile was a full participant in yesterday's practice and plans to make his return from a knee injury that held him out for just over a month today, taking time from Wayne Ellington. In other Miami news James Johnson should be back in the rotation after serving his one game suspension against the Pacers for an altercation Monday against Toronto. What We're Waiting to Know Josh Jackson is questionable. Jackson is nursing as hip strain that held him out of Friday's game, and is currently questionable for todays game against the Pacers. Marquese Chriss is also questionable and not expected to play which could leave Phoenix thin up front, making Dragan Bender an enticing play once again. Evan Turner is questionable with an illness. Turner missed Friday night's game and is currently listed as questionable for today's game with the Timberwolves. Shabazz Napier drew the start in Turner's spot Friday and saw 35 minutes. Napier is still priced up from his stint filling Lillard's slot in the starting rotation, but remains a value if he step's in for Turner again today. Domantas Sabonis is questionable for the Pacers. Sabonis is dealing with a sore left shoulder injured on Friday, and may be unavailable today in Phoenix. With Myles Turner out as well this could mean extended run for Al Jefferson at the five. Every Lineup Guys Anthony Davis FD - $10600 DK - $9800Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 51.45 DK - 51.73 We've got a long drawn out four game Sunday with two of our top plays in the system coming from the Pelicans trip to MSG to take on the Knicks. First up we have...
