We're looking at a nine game slate this evening, if you can believe it. There's no shortage of studs, and some sloppy defenses to use to our advantage, so what are we waiting for? Point guard Spencer Dinwiddie FD - $5500 DK - $6500Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 38.06 DK - 38.43 D’Angelo Russell is inching closer to a full return, but the Nets aren’t quite ready to set him loose just yet. He saw 14 minutes in each of his first three games back before moving up to 21 on Friday in Milwaukee, while taking the next day off in Minnesota. He’ll likely see a similar workload tonight against the Knicks which means we still have a little more time to ride the Dinwiddie express before it heads off to daily fantasy basketball irrelevancy. Since Russell returned to the rotation last week, Dinwiddies’ price has been on the decline. The Nets see a nice matchup tonight against a New York defense ranked 22nd overall at the position in a game with a 100.1 combined pace factor and a 215 over/under coming out of Vegas. Even with Russell cutting into his time Dinwiddie has a solid 25 point floor, and has proven in the past that a 40 point ceiling is not out of reach if he gets the minutes. Dejounte Murray FD - $6300 DK - $5900Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 30.39 DK - 30.78 Sure, you can always pay up for Westbrook or Curry, but there is value to be had tonight art the point, so we should take advantage, especially with some solid ways of paying up at other positions. A prime example of the value is Dejounte Murray. Murray has started five straight games for the Spurs now and has exceeded all expectations. He’s averaged 1.26 FP per minute while seeing a steady run of 27-33 minutes per night. These two teams play at a snails pace, but I can easily see what our NBA lineup optimizer likes in Murray despite the slow pace and low Vegas...

What We Know EARLY Kris Dunn remains out with concussion symptoms. Dunn has missed four games now after taking a hard spill to the floor against the Warriors on January 17th. He continues to demonstrate symptoms and will remain out with no timetable for return. Jerian Grant will continue to start at the point while Dunn remains out. Austin Rivers will miss at least two more weeks. Rivers has been out of commission since December 29th with a bruised heel and latest word has him remaining out for at least two more weeks. Tyrone Wallace will continue to draw starting duties for the Clippers while Lou Williams also sees added responsibility. Tyson Chandler will start for Phoenix. Originally listed as questionable with an illness, Chandler will play and start for the Suns against Houston this afternoon. Alex Len meanwhile has been ruled out for a third straight game with a sore ankle. Malcolm Brogdon has been ruled out for the Bucks game in Chicago. Brogdon was originally listed as questionable after missing Fridays' game. The sore right calf will hold him back once again as Milwaukee plays Chicago with Tony Snell replacing him in the starting lineup. Snell played 32 minutes in his last start but was outperformed by Sterling Brown who saw 27 minutes off the bench. MAIN The Kings Willie Cauley-Stein will miss at least the next two games. Cauley-Stein is suffering from a bone bruise in his knee that is causing some serious pain for the Sacramento big man and he will be sidelined starting today in San Antonio. Cost Koufos and Zach Randolph could stand to see more action in his absence, but given coach Joergers' tendency to not overwork his vets, younger plays such as Skal Labassiere and Georgios Pappagiannis could also benefit from added run. Avery Bradley has been ruled out for tonight’s game against Cleveland. Bradley has been ruled out by Detroit with a...

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates - 1/27/18 Welcome to the daily fantasy NBA news and injury updates for January 27th. What We Know John Wall is out for the Wizards. Wall is dealing with a sore knee and will miss the Wizards game against the Hawks in Atlanta. Tomas Satoransky will draw the start in Wall's place, but the real draw is in Bradley Beal and Otto Porter, who we spotlighted in the picks article and now become even more appealing as they see a 4.4% and 3.4% bump in usage respectively with Wall off the court. Marcus Smart is out for two weeks after cutting his hand. This was anything but smart, as the Celtics guard suffered a severe cut swiping at a picture frame in a hotel shattering the glass. Terry Rozier stands to be the main beneficiary while Jaylen Brown stands to see some extended run as well during Smart's absence. Tyler Johnson expects to play after missing five games already with an ankle sprain. Johnson appears to be on track to make his return after missing five games with an ankle sprain. Wayne Ellington, Josh Richardson, and Justise Winslow have all seen added fantasy appeal in Johnson's absence, and would likely take a hit in value upon his return, especially Ellington, though it remains to be seen if Johnson will see any type of minutes restriction. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson left last night's game in Milwaukee with a right groin strain. Jefferson suffered the injury after playing just 12 minutes of the Nets game against the Bucks and was unable to return. The Nets have ruled him out for tonight, with DeMarre Carroll who sees a 1.8% usage bump with RHJ off the court, and to a lesser extent Qunicy Acy standing to benefit in his absence. D'Angelo Russell will also be held out on the tail end of a back to back. What We're Waiting to Know Jimmy Butler is a game-time decision for the Wolves. Jimmy Buckets came into the Timberwolves Wednesday and Thursday contests designated as questionable before...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/27/18
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/27/18 It’s Saturday in the NBA and we have six games scheduled. Theres a seventh 5ET contest that sees the Thunder traveling into Detroit, if you’re interested in playing the all day slate, but for our purposes here, we’ll focus on the main slate tipping off at 7PM. We’ve got some poor defenses to take advantage of, while two of the best in the game battle it out in Oakland. Let’s check out our projection system’s top picks. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Point guard Stephen Curry FD - $9500 DK - $10100Opponent - BOSProj Pts FD - 47.36 DK - 49.47 We start things off in the Golden State where the Warriors will host the visiting Celtics tonight. Vegas has yet to release a line on this game, likely due to Kevin Durant's appearance on the injury report with a sore foot. KD is probable and likely will play, but regardless, expect this one to be a competitive, high scoring affair. Our focus for now however is on Steph Curry at the point guard spot. Steph is coming in as one of the top overall plays in our NBA lineup optimizer, despite going against a top five defense against opposing point guards. One of the main reasons would be the price. Steph remains a value on FanDuel where he is still well below the $10K mark, and even on DraftKings, he is down to just over $10K. For a player whose recent game log has him coming in just around 50 FP per game, while running the boards at least 33 minutes in his last seven contests, Steph continues to be a fantastic value in cash games. Darren Collison FD - $5400 DK - $5900Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 28.11 DK - 28.45 My other favorite game of the night has the Pacers hosting the Magic. Our first focus from this game, but certainly not our last will be Indiana’s PG Darren Collison. Collison returned to the Pacers last night after a personal matter kept him out of Wednesday’s game against the Suns. Collison has been a key factor in The Pacers success this season as they hold onto a playoff spot approaching the All Star break. He’s averaging 12.7 points, 2.7 boards and 5.2 assists...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/23/18
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/23/18 Hello hoops lovers, and welcome to Tuesday night in the NBA. The Association presents us with a five game slate which is unusually large compared to the three and four game sets we tend to see. We’ve got the usual suspects in the top tier, and some less than appealing matchups. So let’s take a look at the top plays position by position, shall we? Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Point guard Stephen Curry FD - $9600 DK - $10500Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 50.53 DK - 52.57 Russell Westbrook FD - $12200 DK - $11800Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 59.59 DK - 62.81 Even with just five games on the agenda for the evening, we kick off point guard with two big money plays who are among the best in the game. Steph Curry and the Warriors host the Knicks tonight while Russell Westbrook and the Thunder welcome the Nets to town. These are two terrible defenses who will counter Westbrook and Curry with names like Dinwiddie and Jack which means these two will eat and eat well tonight. Westbrook is coming off a 20 assists, 23 point game in Cleveland where he was just a board shy of a triple double and has been locked in to minutes in the mid thirties, while Curry is now four games back from an ankle injury and has averaged 1.22 FP per minute since his return. Both of these games have the potential to get out of hand with Golden State seeing the largest spread of the night at 14 points, but they also have the largest projection of 227. Westbrook feels just a hair safer against the worst overall defense at the position, but is going to cost you a ton more, especially on FanDuel. On DraftKings where the prices are slightly closer, Westbrook is coming in as the better play, but I’ll take Curry for a sub $10K price tag on FanDuel all day long. Kyrie Irving FD - $8500 DK - $8900Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 40.96 DK - 42.45 There will be value to be had elsewhere, so we’re going to stay in the top tier at the point with Kyrie Irving. Irving was held out of the Celtics game against...
