What We Know Manu Ginobili is out for Sunday afternoon's game in Cleveland. Ginobili suffered a chest injury Friday against Denver and underwent X-rays following the game. He has been ruled out with a bruised sternum. Bryn Forbes and Brandon Paul could see expanded roles in the Spurs front court while Danny Green, who missed Fridays game with an illness, is not on the injury report, and is expected to return to the starting rotation this afternoon. Eric Gordon has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Nuggets. Gordon has been officially ruled out and will miss his third straight game, two with an illness. No one player really benefitted from Gordon's absence on Friday with P.J. Tucker, Joe Johnson, and Luc Mbah A Moute all picked up some additional time. Every Lineup Guys EARLY Giannis Antetokounmpo FD - $10800 DK - $10700Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 58.13 DK - 58.6 There are three studs in the early two game slate, you're probably going to want to pay up for Anthony Davis at the five, which mean we have to choose between Giannis and LeBron at small forward. The choice here is relatively easy. James is in a match up with the maple syrup slow Spurs whereas Alphabet sees a huge pace up against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pels run a 102.2 pace and over their last five games they've surrendered the third most FPPG to opposing small forwards. Don't spend too much time on this one, the choice is as easy as ABC. MAIN Clint Capela FD - $7700 DK - $7100Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 39.82 DK - 40.23 James summed this option up pretty well in the picks article, so I'm just going to reiterate what he said. Embiid and Jokic are both fine options but with a lack of any true value the system is having a hard time working either...

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates – 2/24/18

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates - 2/24/18 Two big name players went down last night and will not be available for tonight's contests. Who benefits from the loss of Jimmy Butler, and Tyreke Evans? Who should we build our lineups around? DFSR has answers to these questions and more. It's Saturday night NBA News and Injury Updates. Don't forget to check out our NBA picks article for Saturday night so you know who all of our favorite plays are as well. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. What We Know Jimmy Butler left last night's game with a leg injury. No surprise here. We covered this extensively in the picks article, under the assumption that this would be the case, and I'll touch on it more down below in the "Every Lineup Guys" section. Tyreke Evans left last night's game with a rib injury. Here's another one we saw coming, Evans left last night's game early as well, and will subsequently sit out tonight, along with Wayne Selden and Chandler Parsons. The last time Evans and Selden were both out, Dillon Brooks slid over to SG, while Jarell Martin and JaMychal Green were the starting forwards. Brooks, Andrew Harrison and Marc Gasol all see at least a 4.5% bump in usage with this group off the court this season and all are coming in high in our projection system. Draymond Green is probable for tonight's game against the Thunder. Dray saw 37 minutes and came out of Thursday night's game against the Clippers with shoulder soreness, but is fully expected to suit up and start for the Warriors tonight as they host OKC. Justin Holiday and Robin Lopez will not dress tonight. Holiday and RoLo didn't see the court in Thursday's loss to the Sixers, and the pair will once again remain inactive for tonight's game in Minnesota. What We're Waiting to Know Kelly Olynyk is questionable for Miami. Olynyk missed his fifth straight game last night and has been upgraded to questionable for tonight's game against the Grizzlies. The designation is a step in the right direction, but even if cleared, he would likely be held to a minutes restriction, and would also steal time from Bam Adebayo, Hassan Whiteside, and James Johnson, making it a situation best avoided entirely. Every Lineup Guys Nemanja Bjelica FD...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 2/24/18

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 2/24/18 It’s Saturday night in the NBA and the action tips off at 7:30 ET. We’ve got seven games on DraftKings, and six on FanDuel. There are several teams playing on the tail end of a back to back, and Friday night brought with it a key injury, that along with some poor defenses, and a game with a 234 projected total coming out of Vegas will shape how we maneuver our lineups tonight. Let’s take a look at our system’s top picks. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point guard Russell Westbrook FD - $11200 DK - $11600Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 56.21 DK - 59.16 The marquee game on tonight's slate sees the Thunder head west to Oakland for a shootout with the Warriors. Russell Westbrook has put the sluggish start to the season in the rearview, and has the pedal to the floor as OKC makes a push for playoff seeding as we make our way into the final part of the season. He only dropped 17 points against the Kings coming out of the All Star break, but it was enough to give him his second straight triple double, making for 18 on the year. Steph and Co. don't pose much of a threat here as the Dubs are average defending against the point, and they allow for a significant pace up as they play second to only the Lakers in pace of play. This game has the highest projection coming out of Vegas and it isn't even close. Triple double number 19 is all but guaranteed tonight, and our projection system loves Russ with the top raw point projection of the night. J.J. Barea FD - $5500 DK - $5600Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 29.11 DK - 30.88 Though Russ is clearly a top play, raw points alone aren't enough to make it in NBA DFS, we need to maximize our value, and get the most bang for our buck. Thats where points per dollar come in to play, and at the position J.J. Barea leads the pack. He's coming in projected well above the 5X PPD mark, even in a slow match up with the Jazz. As I write this, Barea is doing very little at the end of the third quarter of the Mavericks game in L.A....

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks – FanDuel & DraftKings 2/13/18

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 2/13/18 It’s Tuesday night in the NBA and as we approach the All Star break, we have a six game slate on our hands with a ton of question marks. While our friends in Vegas are withholding the opening lines based on all of the news that is up in the air at the moment, that doesn’t stop us from looking at the top plays position by position as determined by our lineup optimizer. So let’s dive right in!!! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA or NFL? Be sure to read our free NBA and NFL Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Point guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $6000 DK - $6300 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 29.5 DK - 30.05 Point guard is a train wreck coming into tonight. A lot of uncertainty, and nothing to like about the sure things we have to work with. De'aaron Fox has run 31-35 minutes in four of the Kings last five games. He was impressive against the Timberwolves on Sunday scoring 23 points in 34 minutes to pair with three steals, and two boards, and two assists each. Over his last seven he's produced .93 FP per minute against some formidable defenses, and tonight sees a Dallas team that is slightly below average defending against the position. You have to trust the minutes on this one, but if you think Fox can continue to run the boards for 30+ then he's one of the surest plays at the position tonight. Raymond Felton FD - $5000 DK - $4900 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 32.13 DK - 32.34 Yogi Ferrell FD - $4500 DK - $4500 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 25.92 DK - 26.86 Patty Mills FD - $4100 DK - $4700 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 22.94 DK - 23.97 We'll call this group here, the "if" bunch. If injury thrusts them back into the starting rotation, then each of them becomes worthy of consideration based on the opportunity they see at value pricing. Felton started the last two games for the Thunder in place of Russell Westbrook seeing an average of 32 minutes and scoring an average of 29.3 FPPG. He was excellent against the Grizzlies on Sunday paying 6.4X at these prices which are up dramatically since then but still well below what he is capable...

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates – 2/11/18

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates - 2/11/18 As we approach the main slate, let's dive into some injury news and see if we can't make heads or tails of this funky four game slate the league has given us this evening. There were little to no question marks on the early set, while tonight's slate gives us plenty to pick through. Don't forget to take a look at the top plays at each position here. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. What We Know Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony are out for tonight's game against Memphis. Westbrook and Anthony each missed yesterday's practice, each with an ankle sprain, and neither will take the court tonight as the Thunder host Memphis. The pair missed Thursday's game against the Lakers, and Raymond Felton, Jerami Grant, and Patrick Patterson all benefitted, though the only one from that trio I would even entertain the thought of running tonight is Felton. The big draw is in Paul George who sees his usage jump 12.5% with Melo and Westbrook off the court per NBAWowy.com. Dirk Nowitzki, JJ Barea, and Wes Matthews are all out tonight. Barea will rest while Dirk has an ankle injury, and Matthews deals with lower back soreness. Dennis Smith and Yogi Ferrel should pick up a large bulk of the back court minutes for the Mavs while Dwight Powell and Sarah Mejri will benefit from Dirks absence. Chandler Parsons and Wayne Selden are out for the Grizzlies trip to OKC. This will be Parsons 20th game missed in a row, so no surprises here. With Seldon dealing with knee soreness, and Andrew Harrison also questionable, the Memphis back court could be mighty thin tonight, leading to added time for Mario Chalmers, and Ben McLemore. Trevor Ariza will likely remain out through the All Star break. Ariza has been out since the end of January, and his missed six straight games with a hamstring injury. While he is listed as questionable for tonight's contest, it seems the Rockets are leaning towards hooding him out until after the break as he has no clear time table for return. What We're Waiting to Know Ricky Rubio is questionable for the Jazz tonight. Rubio left Friday night's game early with hip soreness after 20 minutes and is currently sitting with a questionable designation...
