Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 3/6/18
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/6/18 It's an unusual Tuesday in the NBA to say the least. We've got eight games on the schedule which is rare in itself. There's also three, count'em, three games with a Vegas projection over 220 points, and a couple of blow outs to steer clear of. There's still a lot to sort through to find out our system's top plays for the evening, so let's check out the picks!!! Point guard Kemba Walker FD - $8100 DK - $7600 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 42.27 DK - 43.42 I'm going to start out by saying Russell Westbrook is well within play here. The Game between the Thunder and the Rockets projects for 223 points with the Thunder as 4 point dogs, and Russ is definitely high on PPD projections, but there are some cheaper options I'd like to spotlight here. First up we have Kemba Walker and the Hornets playing host to the Sixers. Walker's scoring has been fantastic scoring below twenty points just once in his last seven while scoring 31 on three separate occasions in that stretch. One of those games last Thursday against these same Sixers. While this game falls on the lower end of the Vegas projections, Philly's top-five pace, with Charlotte not far behind them, means this game will still have plenty of action, and present KW with plenty of chances to post another high scoring game especially if he can stretch the minutes out to the 37+ point like he did in his last two outings. I'm not telling you not to spend up on Westbrook, but personally, I'm looking for Walker to pay more on the dollar and make an excellent cash option for significantly less. Rajon Rondo FD - $6500 DK - $6200 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 32.03 DK - 32.42 This one here is the monster. The Pelicans head into L.A. to take on the Clippers in a game with a 237 projected total and just a three-point spread. Rajon Rondo is already underpriced for how he has been playing over the past few games, but if this game goes as expected he is going to absolutely crush value. Through his last four starts, Rondo has run the boards for 32-35 minutes a game...

What We Know Willie Cauley-Stein remains out for the Kings tonight. Cayley-Stein will now miss both games of the Sacramento weekend back to back set with a strained back. It remains to be seen who will start, and if Zach Randolph, or Kosta Koufos will be rested tonight. Regardless of starting or coming in off the bench, Skal Labassiere, who saw 28 minutes last night and was solid, should stand to continue to see the most benefit from WCS continuing to sit out. What We're Waiting to Know Wesley Matthews is questionable for the Mavericks. Matthews injured his hip in Friday night's game against the Bulls and is currently questionable against the Pelicans tonight. J.J. Barea could benefit greatly from the 30 minutes Matthews potential absence could leave available. Every Lineup Guys DeAndre Jordan FD - $7900 DK - $7600Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 40.33 DK - 41.51 After riding a rough three game stretch, DeAndre Jordan broke loose and had a monster game against the Knicks on Friday night. in 28 minutes he maintained his usual presence in the glass grabbing 20 boards, while picking up his offensive presence as well with 19 points, rounding out the stat sheet with three assists, two blocks, and a steal. He'll look to continue his dominance against the Nets, a defensive unit ranked dead last against opposing big men this season. These two teams like to run the boards and it shows, with a 101.1 combined pace factor and 223.5 O/U coming out of Vegas. Jordan is reasonably priced, and presents for a strong play in cash games and tournaments. Skal Labissiere FD - $5200 DK - $4800Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 26.04 DK - 25.82 We mentioned earlier that Willie Cauley-Stein is still dealing with back spasms that will keep him sidelined again tonight. Skal Labassiere came in off the bench last night, but was phenomenal in 28 minutes going for 12 each in points and rebounds, three assists, and three blocks. It was his third time in four games scoring in double digits, paying...

What We Know Marc Gasol will rest tonight in Orlando. Gasol will rest tonight as expected. In addition to Gasol riding the pine, Deyonta Davis, who started for Gasol the last time he was inactive has missed the last two games, while JaMychal Green sat out Friday night's game with an illness. Davis has been ruled out tonight while Green is questionable. Jarell Martin becomes an exciting play already, and moreso if Green sits. The problems for Memphis don't end in the front court, as Andrew Harrison missed Friday night's game with a sore wrist and has been ruled out for tonight, and Tyreke Evans has missed four in a row with a rib injury. With Wayne Selden questionable Mario Chalmers stands to continue to benefit as well as Ben McLemore who posted a near 10X PPD performance last night against the Nuggets. Pau Gasol is probable for the Spurs tonight, while LaMarcus Aldridge has been ruled out. Aldridge left Wednesday night's game with an ankle sprain and has been ruled out tonight. Meanwhile Gasol is dealing with a bone bruise in his knee that had him originally listed as questionable, but he has since been upgraded to probable. Davis Bertans started for Gasol on Wednesday and will likely start in LMA's spot tonight. In addition to Berttans, Joffrey Lauvergne and Rudy Gay could benefit from the absence of LMA and even moreso if Gasol winds up sitting. Brandon Ingram has been ruled out for the Lakers trip to San Antonio tonight. Ingram has a left hip strain and will sit. out for the game against the Spurs tonight. With Josh Hart now likely done for the season, Kyle Kuzma could likely join the starting rotation with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Thomas Bryant picking up additional minutes as well. Tyler Johnson, Wayne Ellington, and Bam Adebayo are all out for Miami. Johnson did not practice Friday and...

Point guard Kyrie Irving FD - $8500 DK - $8500Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 40.24 DK - 41.48 We've got seven games on the schedule for the first Saturday in March, each game presenting us with it's own special brand of fantasy appeal. We'll begin in Houston with the Celtics traveling down to take on the Rockets. It feels kind of odd not opening this spot with Westbrook, and though our NBA lineup optimizer likes both Russ and Kyrie from a points per dollar perspective, there are much better ways to drop over $10K in salary on tonight's slate, and we'll touch on those in a moment. First up let's talk about Kyrie. If you're looking to spend up at the point look no further than the first year Celtic. Irving has been playing out of his mind lately. In four games since the break he's scored over 30+ real points twice, most recently dropping 34 against Kemba Walker and the Hornets in just 24 minutes of a blowout win. Houston's a top ten defense in this league, but right now I don't think that matters much to Kyrie. He's slicing up any matchup you put in front of him and should be able to easily net us the 40FP we need in cash games tonight. Patty Mills FD - $4800 DK - $4400Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 24.46 DK - 25.87 From a value perspective, dropping down to the lower tier we find Patty Mills. This is a clear opportunity play, as Mills was placed in the starting unit while Danny Green dealt with illness. Even with a healthy Green back in action, Pop seems content to stick with the current rotation, having Mills start against the Pelicans on Wednesday. If Mills is going to continue to see starters minutes in the mid-thirties while sitting on a sub $5K price tag, we have to stop and take notice, particularly against a Lakers squad sitting 24th overall defending against point guards. Add in the fact that the Lakers league leading 103.1 pace of play will force the more conservative Spurs to speed things up a bit, presenting a few more opportunities for Mills and company, and we have a solid play in all formats. Mario Chalmers FD...

This game has the lowest projected total of the six games going this evening, sitting just a notch over the 200 mark, but that doesn't mean there isn't some value for us to take away from it. Despite a few hiccups, Goran Dragic has enjoyed a bit of a resurgence down the stretch, scoring in double digits in nine of his last eleven games including two in his last four going for 28 or better. In addition to the improved scoring, the peripherals have been building making the Dragon an all around threat. Philly has surrendered the third most fantasy points per game to the position this season and Goran should continue to see big minutes as Miami makes a push for a playoff spot. Priced at his lowest point since mid December, lock Dragic into your cash games with confidence, while considering him for GPPs if you think he can notch 35 minutes or better. Austin Rivers FD - $5600 DK - $5600Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 28.37 DK - 29.34 This is a game we're going to be seeing a lot of, and rightfully so. Vegas has it projected to be a shoot out, opening at a lofty 233 projected total and just a 4 point spread. We'll begin our exposure to this one with the clippers Austin Rivers. Rivers has shot 50% or better in four of his last six games and produced double digit scoring in all of them while being locked in to 31-37 minutes per game. The minutes should remain steady as long as Avery Bradley remains out making Rivers a sure thing against a Denver team ranked bottom five defensively at the position over their last ten games. Assuming this game plays out as projected, there's no reason to think Rivers doesn't deliver in all formats. George Hill FD - $4600 DK - $4600Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 25.07 DK - 25.68 There really isn't a lot to love in the upper tier at the point tonight. You can certainly consider Walker and Bledsoe in decent matchups,...
