Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/17/18 It's St Patrick's Day, Saturday in the NBA. We've got ten games on the agenda for this evening tipping off at 7ET with the Rockets traveling into New Orleans for a game with the Pelicans in a game with a 227 O/U. The night caps off with the Warriors who are looking for a little good luck to come their way as they head into Phoenix for a tilt with the Suns. There's a lot to consider when determining our top plays, so let's check out our system's top picks!! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Point guard Chris Paul FD - $8100 DK - $7900 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 41.95 DK - 42.4 Chris Paul made a brief appearance on the injury report prior to the Rockets game against the Clippers on Thursday night, and despite sitting out practice on Wednesday it would appear the knee was still bothering him some come game time as he was basically a nonfactor in Houston's win. He's now had Friday to rest and hasn't reappeared on the injury list.  He should be fine to go tonight as the Rockets head into the bayou to take on the Pelicans as they continue to fight to keep a grip on the top seed in the west. Removing Thursday night from the equation CP3 has been what we've come to expect over his last several outings: 30-35 minutes a game with double-digit scoring, plenty of assists, and his fair share of boards making him an all-around threat and a daily fantasy asset. Put all of that into a game against a team with a top three pace factor and the eighth most FP allowed to point guards this season and we have a solid outing for a high floor, high ceiling player. If you trust the knee isn't going to be an issue then Paul is a top way to pay up at the point. George Hill FD - $4600 DK - $4900 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 25.24 DK - 25.66 The Cavs head into the windy city tonight for a tilt with the Bulls. Chicago is far from a shutdown defense on the perimeter with Kris Dunn at the point, and he's already been ruled out meaning it will likely be Cameron Payne...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/13/18 Welcome friends to daily fantasy NBA for Tuesday! We've got a monster slate of 11 games on our hands, and while each presents its own brand of fantasy goodness, there a handful of games that stand out. We'll talk a bit about the Cavaliers who are in an excellent spot tonight against the Suns and then we'll go position by position breaking down some of the other top options to consider. So what are we waiting for? Let's do this thing. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. A not so quick note on the Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James FD - $12500 DK - $11600 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 60.68 DK - 63.1 Larry Nance Jr. FD - $7800 DK - $7000 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 36.95 DK - 36.95 Jeff Green FD - $3800 DK - $3900 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 22.18 DK - 22.45 George Hill FD - $4700 DK - $5100 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 26.04 DK - 26.52 J.R. Smith FD - $3700 DK - $4200 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 20.75 DK - 21.32 Before we get down to the nuts and bolts of tonight's top plays, I wanted to take a moment to talk about the Cavaliers. While it's no secret the Cavs have been a lax defensive team all season, they more than make up for it by being an offensive juggernaut capable of dismantling even the strongest of defensive matchups that come across their path. Tonight they see the worst defense the league has to offer as they head into Phoenix to take on a Suns team that has all but given up, and didn't stand a chance of stopping an offense of this caliber even when they were trying. The Cavs are led of course by LeBron James, who is our top way to pay up on the slate. James leads the way at all positions in our NBA lineup optimizer for raw projected points, coming in right around 60 FP on both sites. The King has looked rejuvenated since the Cavs shook things up at the trade deadline, averaging 56.64 FDP in the ten games since the All-Star break, surpassing the 60 mark three times. James is a terrific play on FanDuel,...

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates - 3/11/18 There's been a lot of late-breaking news as we head towards the main slate of Sunday night daily fantasy basketball action. DFSR has all the latest you need to know before locking in your lineups. Don't forget to check our top plays here, broken down by our own James Davis. What We Know James Harden has been ruled out for Houston. The beard is dealing with a sore knee and has been ruled out for tonight's game against the Mavericks. Eric Gordon becomes a fantastic play with Harden out, and Chris Paul who we will touch on more in a bit becomes a top option on the slate. Dennis Smith Jr. will play tonight following a one-game absence. DSJ sat out Saturday's win over Memphis with a quadriceps injury, and the day off seemed to help as he will return to action tonight as the Mavericks welcome the Rockets to town. Smith will likely return to the starting rotation which will send J.J. Barea back to the bench and cut into both his and Yogi Ferrell's implied value. Rodney Hood is out for tonight's game in L.A. Hood is dealing with a lower back injury suffered Friday night against the Clippers. J.R. Smith, Kyle Korver, and Jeff Green could all see added time in Hood's absence, though Smith, who saw 34 minutes Friday following Hood's departure and ended the night with over 30FP draws the majority of my attention here, with some consideration for Green. In addition to Hood, Tristan Thompson remains out with an ankle injury that has held him out of three games already. This will continue to make Larry Nance an attractive option starting in Thompson's place. In the last three games, Nance has averaged 42.6 FDP in 32.3 minutes per game. Brandon Ingram is out for the Lakers tonight. Ingram will miss his fifth straight contest tonight with a groin injury. During his absence, Kyle Kuzma has seen an increase in workload averaging nearly 38 minutes per game and though his price has risen significantly in the short term, he is still worth considering in a strong matchup against a bottom five Cleveland defense. Jaylen Brown is out with a concussion. Brown will miss tonight's game against the Pacers while...

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates – 3/10/18

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates - 3/10/18 It's Saturday night, and DFSR has all the latest news & updates to consider before locking in your lineups. Some top tier players are out tonight, opening up plenty of value. You can see our top plays at each position right here. Now let's check out all of the latest breaking news. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. What We Know Marc Gasol is out for the Grizzlies. Coming on the tail end of a back to back the Grizzlies have opted to rest Gasol tonight as they head into Dallas. Deyonta Davis is the likely candidate to draw the start in Gasol's place, while JaMychal Green and Jarell Martin should see additional time in the Memphis frontcourt as well, with Ivan Rabb picking up additional time off the bench. Davis played 23 minutes the last time Gasol was out, so we shouldn't prepare for him to light the world on fire, but he is a playable option. Aaron Gordon remains out for Orlando with a concussion. Gordon continues to work his way back from a concussion suffered on Wednesday against the Lakers. This will be Gordon's second straight absence with Jonathon Simmons, Mario Hezonja, and to a lesser extent Jonathan Isaac all standing to benefit from the 35 minutes left up for grabs. What We're Waiting to Know Pau Gasol is questionable for tonight's game in Oklahoma City. Gasol did not practice yesterday and is in danger of missing his second straight contest after a shoulder sprain held him out of Thursday night's game against the Warriors. If he sits out again tonight in OKC, LaMarcus Aldridge, who dropped 30 points to go along with a season high 17 rebounds and four assists against the Warriors, goes from a good play to an excellent play tonight. David Bertans was also serviceable starting in Gasol's place, playing 28 minutes and putting up 20 fantasy points. Dennis Smith Jr. and Wesley Matthews are both questionable for tonight's game against Memphis. DSJ was added to the injury report earlier today with tendinitis in the knee, with Matthews a late addition while he continues to deal with hip soreness that has held him out of two straight already. If Smith, Matthews, or both are unable to suit up, Yogi Ferrell and J.J. Barea...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 3/10/18

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/10/18 There are five games in the Association today, but the sites are largely ignoring the late afternoon game that sees the Suns heading into Charlotte, so we will be directing our focus to the four game main slate that tips off at 7:30PM ET with the Wizards/Heat contest. Let’s go position by position to check out our projection system’s top plays of the day. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Be sure to read our free NBA Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Point guard Russell Westbrook FD - $12000 DK - $11500 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 54.87 DK - 58.1 We’ll open things up with Russell Westbrook. Russ isn’t the overwhelming draw tonight that he tends to be on most slates, going up against a Spurs team who play the second-slowest pace in the NBA and are ranked top five defending against the point. But he is the only player commanding over $10K tonight which will make locking him in rather easy to do. The Spurs are allowing just 34.5 FP to opposing point guards on average this season and Westy has had a tough time justifying this price tag down the stretch. Over his last seven games, Westbrook has paid 5X PPD or better just once. As a cash game play, I’m fine with Westbrook just because I think the ownership percentage should be high enough to justify the price, but I’ll pass in tournaments. Goran Dragic FD - $6500 DK - $6400 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 32.51 DK - 33.71 Dragic has been a solid option in daily fantasy NBA this season due in part to the Heat dealing with several injuries throughout the course of the season, but also due to his ability to put together a complete game and build up those fantasy points by whatever means necessary. Even with Miami being pretty much at full strength at this point we can count on the Dragon to see steady minutes. In his last six, he’s scored in double digits five times, while averaging 4.2 boards, 5.3 assists, and 1.15 steals. The Wizards backcourt just hasn’t been the same since losing John Wall, and are ranked 18th overall defending against the position on the season. Dragic’s price is currently on a downswing, and we get him tonight at a point where we only need to ask for 30-35...
