Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/14/18 It's Saturday baseball, and we've got an exciting early slate with nine games, and a less appealing six-game main slate. We'll focus most of our energy on the early set today while looking at some of the more exciting plays of the evening set. It's DFSR's daily fantasy MLB picks for April 14th. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitcher Max Scherzer FD 11500 DK 12400 Opponent - COL (Jon Gray) Park - WSH FD - 44.49 DK - 24.94 Scherzer and the Nationals host the Rockies on in Washington, well away from the altitude in Colorado. Scherzer is coming off of a game, Monday night, in which he completely dominated the Braves limiting them to two hits in nine shutout innings while fanning ten with zero free passes. He's opening up the season with the second best xFIP in the majors picking up right where he left off in 2017. This Rockies team just isn't the same without some home-cookin' as their wOBA on the road dating back to the start of last season is among the worst in the game and they strike out fourth most, nearly 25% of the time. Washington has one of the best opening lines of the day at -185 and Scherzer should easily continue his dominant ways in this one. He's a strong play everywhere. Chris Archer FD 8800 DK 14300 Opponent - PHI (Jake Arrieta) Park - TB FD - 37.49 DK - 20.43 Chris Archer is one of those guys that doesn't get near the credit he deserves. He ended 2017 with just ten wins in 34 starts but that was more a reflection of the offense around him than anything he did while on the hill. I'm not saying he's in the same league as Scherzer, but for a fraction of the salary (on FD, he isn't a part of DK salary cap slates), he doesn't have to be. He still ended the season with the eleventh-best xFIP in the majors and the fifth-best K/9 (11.15). With heat like that, you have to like him against a Phillies team that strikes out 23.4% of the time dating back to last season. Philadelphia has a young, up and coming offense that is showing signs of promise but they're still letting their impatience show at the dish early...

Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 4/10/18

Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/10/18 Welcome friends to big league Tuesday. We've got 12 games on the main slate and that's where we'll focus our energy. There are some fantastic pitching options to consider, some value bats, and a game in Coors Field. Where to spend? Join me as we go position by position to narrow down the picks. Pitcher Stephen Strasburg FD 9800 DK 10800 Opponent - ATL (Mike Foltynewicz) Park - WSHFD - 40.71 DK - 22.2 I'm going to open up this piece the same way Austyn did yesterday, with the starting pitcher for the Washington Nationals. When you've got a one-two punch in your rotation like Scherzer and Strasburg, that's going to happen from time to time. Last night it was Mad Max, so tonight, I'll talk about Stras. Stephen Strasburg finished last season with the eighth best xFIP (3.27) among qualified pitchers. While Scherzer may have the slightest bit of edge in K upside, it's still a strong factor in Strasburg's game as well. With a career 10.43 K/9, he's already whiffing 9.49 through his first two starts of the year. Stras got into a bit of trouble with the long ball against the Mets in his last game, which may scare some folks off. The opening line has the Nationals as -220 favorites, which is the highest money line of the day, so Vegas is pretty bullish here. Stras is hands down the safest option going tonight. Aaron Nola FD 8500 DK 8200 Opponent - CIN (Homer Bailey) Park - PHIFD - 37.94 DK - 20.22 If you're one of those folks that are worried about Strasburg, or you just want to go a little cheaper on the hill to pay up for some big bats, then we should take a look at Aaron Nola. Nola hasn't gotten the season off to the start I was hoping he would, but he's still showing plenty of great promise. He allowed just one run on opening day in Atlanta, and a two-run bomb of the bat of Yoenis Cespedes was his only slip up in game two against the Mets. Control issues have bothered him early, as he's walking 4.35 batters per 9 to open the season, which is nearly double his career totals. He'll see his best match-up of the...

We've got you completely covered. What We Know Giannis Antetokounmpo is out. The Greek freak suffered a sprained ankle and will be held out of the Bucks tilt with the Knicks tonight in New York. Jabari Parker stands to see an increased workload with Giannis out of commission, while Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe each see a spike in usage with no Giannis. Bledsoe's usage goes up just about 2% per NBAWowy.com while Middleton's usage goes up nearly 7%. Eric Gordon is listed as questionable for the Rockets. Gordon was held out of the Rockets last game with a foot issue that seems to still be nagging. With the number one spot in the west all locked up, there is a good chance the Rockets hold Gordon out as a precaution. DeMarre Carroll will miss a second straight game. Carroll is suffering from a strained left hip that will keep him out of a second straight game after missing Thursday night's game with the Bucks. Joe Harris drew the start for Carroll on Thursday and will likely do so again tonight. In that game, he paid nearly 7X points per dollar and is in a great spot tonight against a bottom ten Chicago defense at the three. Noah Vonleh is out for a second game in a row. Vonleh will miss a second straight game with a calf injury after missing last night's game with the Celtics. Bobby Portis and Sean Kilpatrick will all see added time in his absence. The Bulls haven't been running anybody on heavy minutes as of late so the whole situation is best avoided. The Warriors continue to deal with injuries. While Curry remains out, he'll be joined once again by Patrick McCaw who has missed three in a row, and Omri Casspi looking at his tenth straight absence. In addition to those guys, Nick Young has been fighting an illness and Andre Iguodala has been dealing with knee soreness. Both of those are listed...

Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 4/7/18

Daily Fantasy MLB Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/7/18 We're now just over a full week into the season. Thanks to off days, and some weather postponements, we've really shuffled the pitching rotations, so it's not all aces or all scrubs. We've got a nice healthy mix of dominant arms to lock in and weak arms to target against. Our MLB lineup optimizer has been hard at work crunching all the numbers. With a majority of the games happening this afternoon, we'll focus most of our attention on the early games while giving you some plays to consider on the evening set of five games. So let's check out the top picks at each position. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB optimizer and our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Trevor Bauer FD 8600 DK 9400 Opponent - KC (Ian Kennedy) Park - CLE FD - 37.77 DK - 19.55 We'll open things up today with Trevor Bauer leading the Indians against the Royals in his home park. Progressive Field is an average hitters park, leaning slightly in favor of the pitcher and Bauer was quite comfortable pitching there last season, as he held an xFIP over one point lower in home games versus on the road. Bauer was strong through five innings to open the season up in Seattle last weekend, surrendering two earned runs on five hits while fanning seven. The Royals were a bottom ten offense against RHP last season and didn't strike out a ton either, a trend that continues this season as they've struck out only 9.5% of the time against righties to open up the campaign. This coupled with Bauer's tendency to get into trouble early severely limit the upside, but with the tribe coming in as -205 favorites. Bauer should present more than enough safety on a modest price tag to get us where we need to be in cash games. Sonny Gray FD 8200 DK 9000 Opponent - BAL (Chris Tillman) Park - NYY FD - 35.1 DK - 17.89 The Yankees continue their weekend series with the Orioles in the Bronx today and will turn the ball over to Sonny Gray. Like Bauer, Gray got into trouble early on in his first game of the 2018 campaign, scattering ten baserunners over 4 innings, but managed to limit the damage to only one earned run. The early exit resulted in a no-decision but Gray did...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 4/3/18

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/3/18 After a hoops free Monday the NBA comes back strong with a thirteen game Tuesday night. Russell Westbrook and company host the Warriors. John Wall takes his return to the boards tour into Houston, and Ben Simmons looks to keep the Sixers winning without the process against a hapless Nets squad. These are just some of the games we'll zero in on as we break down the top plays as determined by our NBA projection system. There's an awful lot to sort through so let's get down to the nitty gritty and check out tonight's picks! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Be sure to read our free NBA Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Point guard John Wall FD - $8000 DK - $7500Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 40.55 DK - 40.62 John Wall is back! Wall returned on Saturday when the Wizards hosted the Hornets following a 27 game absence dating back to January. The Wiz wasted no time returning Wall to his full allotment of minutes. Averaging 34.3 on the season, he saw 33 in his return to the boards. His numbers were understandably down from his season averages in his return, but he did manage to pay just about 5X points per dollar (PPD) on these FanDuel prices while crushing on the more reasonable DraftKings pricing. With no minutes restriction, the Wizards decided to rest Wall on the tail end of the back to back set Sunday in Chicago returning Tomas Satoransky to the starting rotation instead. With two off days Wall should be refreshed and ready to go tonight in a big-time matchup against the Rockets. The Rockets have had their own issues at the point, with Chris Paul missing four of the last five contests with hamstring and hip issues, and while they've been a top ten defense at the position this season, during that stretch they've fallen to 18th overall, allowing 10 more fantasy points (FP) per game than their season average. It's understandable to be cautious here as Wall is still working his way back, but if game one is any indication he is off to a good start and priced about $1500 less than what he was commanding prior to his injury making him an excellent option in both cash games and tournaments. Trey Burke FD - $6900 DK - $6600Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 39.15 DK...
