The latter are the second-worst defensive efficiency team in the league this season, playing matador style almost all year long. Utah has an interesting guard rotation in that Collin Sexton and Keyonte George are starters, but Jordan Clarkson comes in and plays a lot of minutes off the bench as well. It does lead to some usage concerns, but in general, the minutes are more than there for these guys with the prices relatively in check. Before the All-Star Break, Keyonte George played a whopping 41 minutes against the Warriors, putting up 22 shots and finishing with 33 points. It was, for sure, a breakout performance. The DraftKings price is way too low for his new role. Meanwhile, Sexton took the third most shots on the team in that game, getting up 18 looks and finishing with 35 points and nine assists. The Jazz can support these guys as cash game plays at their current salaries for sure. Tre Mann FD - $6600 DK - $5500Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 27.64 DK - 28.69 Tre Mann has been one of the big winners of the trade deadline, coming over from the Thunder and joining the Hornets starting lineup almost immediately. Over his last three games, he’s averaged 14 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds while running more than 30 minutes per game. He’s just contributing across the board while Charlotte is still without LaMelo Ball in the lineup. Even with the prices climbing, he’s still a play on both sites, especially DraftKings. Small Forward Scottie Barnes FD - $9200 DK - $8800Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 37.42 DK - 39.27 Scottie Barnes isn’t the best dollar-for-dollar value play on this slate, but he does have a very high floor at his current salaries. The usage and assists should tick up considerably here, and the matchup is a choice. James Harden FD - $8800 DK - $8800Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 46.55 DK - 50.37 Kawhi Leonard has already been ruled out of this game, meaning we are in a spot to stack James Harden and Paul George for cash games. With Kawhi off the court, Harden has the second-highest usage among the starters at 23.2%, up from 20% on the season. The assists tick up as well, as the ball is in his hands more. His price has fallen on both sites because the Clippers have been at full strength for so long. It’s time to take advantage of Kawhi missing this game. Cole Anthony FD - $5100 DK - $3700Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 26.89 DK - 29.24 Markelle Fultz has been ruled out, and that should mean Cole Anthony spiking minutes or maybe even starting this game. Anthony’s minutes have been all over the place with the Magic getting healthier, plus there’s some risk that Anthony Black starts. But seeing as how this dude is coming at just $3700 on DraftKings, I don’t see how we don’t take a chance on him in cash games there. The lack of scoring has him under $9K on each site, but he is now facing a Suns team that doesn’t defend the point of attack all that well. I like him as a bargain play in this price tier with a good matchup for the Kings. Cade Cunningham FD - $8400 DK - $7800Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 41.5 DK - 45.33 The Pistons seem to be honing in on the exact rotation they want to play and have even been able to stick in some recent games. That’s meant more consistency from Cade Cunningham, who is averaging 20 points and eight assists over the last four. He’s still struggling to hit the three consistently, which is one reason the price has stayed in check. Even as double-digit underdogs against the Lakers, I like playing him on DraftKings, coming under $8K against a below-average defense. Anfernee Simons FD - $7900 DK - $8200Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 38.9 DK - 43.75 The Blazers draw a tough matchup here against the Timberwolves, but there could be a lot to like about Anfernee Simons. For starters, Malcolm Brogdon is out, which helps Simons with the usage. Plus, the Blazers could be without Scoot Henderson as well which would make them very, very thin in the backcourt. Simons is getting up about 20 shots per game over the last four, scoring 27 point per in that stretch. The FanDuel price is enticing though there are blowout concerns to worry about. Meanwhile, the biggest encouraging sign for Alex Caruso is the minutes are more consistently hitting in the mid-30s, which is what he needs to make a safe play. The middle-tier pricing mostly works, but because the usage rate is so low, he needs to be out there enough to fill in the stats across the board. In a fast-paced, low-defense game, that should work out in his favor. Immanuel Quickley FD - $7000 DK - $6900Opponent - SAProj Pts FD - 36.98 DK - 40.43 Immanuel Quickley spiked 38 minutes two games ago against the Houston Rockets, an encouraging sign if the Raptors are going to play in non-blowouts. He scored 25 points 9-19 shooting in that one. The usage can come and go in this new role, but on Monday, he’s gifted with playing the Spurs, who rank 25th on defense and run the fifth-fastest pace. That’s a nice meeting spot for him to get up a lot of shots. Tre Mann FD - $6000 DK - $4600Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 30.95 DK - 34.78 Tre Mann got the start for the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday in his first game with the new team following the trade deadline. Cody Martin FD - $5700 DK - $5200Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 31.13 DK - 32.66 The Hornets unloaded some players at the deadline and are still going to be without LaMelo Ball going into this game. Cody Martin should start in the point guard slot once again and is coming off scoring 19 points while adding eight assists, and five rebounds last time out. Against Milwaukee here, this isn’t all that close of a call considering the price only moved slightly. The Hornets stink, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t find fantasy value, and Martin is a clear play here.
