Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Luka Doncic FD - $12200 DK - $11800Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 58.21 DK - 63.04 There are going to be some tough decisions on this massive slate of games with superstars and a bunch of other guys in amazing spots. The Mavericks are going to be without Kyrie Irving for this game, and that’s going to put Luka Doncic in the position of basically doing everything for this team. Luka goes from a 35% usage rate to a 36% rate with Kyrie off the court, but the on-ball time and assists climb as well. The price is through the roof for sure so it’s not a total lock here, but along with Joel Embiid, no other players have higher floors (and ceilings) than Luka on this slate. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $11600 DK - $10600Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 61.15 DK - 60.42 With some savings at power forward and center, we could be in the market for starting two higher-priced guards on this slate. Now, fitting Luka and SGA together in a lineup isn’t easy, but the latter is also in an incredible spot here as well. The Thunder have a 122.5 projected total against the Jazz, and Shai has been amazing this season. He’s averaging a 30.5/ 6.2/ 5.6 line with 2.8 steals per game as well. The efficiency is about as good as you’ll get from a guard, and he has a very high floor for about $1K less than Luka. Anfernee Simons FD - $7700 DK - $7800Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 40.2 DK - 44.74 I’d much prefer playing Anfernee Simons if I knew that Malcolm Brogdon was going to sit again, but either way we are in a good spot here. Simons, since returning from injury, has been playing major minutes and taking a ton of shots. He’s averaging 24 shots per game over the last two, with 29 points and six assists per game in that stretch. The price hasn’t fully adjusted to him being all the way back, and we have a good chance of keeping buying here in the short term. Cade Cunningham FD...

With Durant off the court this season, Devin Booker has a borderline unreal 38% usage rate. The assists and the rebound tick up as well. Basically, he’s the whole team with KD off the court and that’s going to give him a very high floor going into this matchup against the Kings. Expect him to be among the highest-owned players on the slate. Meanwhile, Eric Gordon sees the second most usage with Durant off the court with his number climbing to 27%. He’s not a candidate to fill the stat line across the board just because of how he plays, but the price doesn’t have you worrying about all that much either. Playing these guys together in cash games is likely how things swing in terms of ownership and you should be on board as well. Anfernee Simons FD - $6600 DK - $6800Opponent - DALProj Pts FD - 39.13 DK - 42.42 Anfernee Simons returned to the court after missing the first couple of months of the season, and it was like he hadn’t been gone at all. He stepped right into the starting lineup, played 37 minutes, and jacked up 27 shots. He only hit 10 of them but finished with 28 points and four assists. Malcolm Brogdon went down in that game, giving Simons more opportunity but I don’t think his price has come close to correcting based on how he came in for that first tilt. He’s a pretty easy play here. Quarterbacks Justin Fields FD 7900 DK 6800 Opponent DETProj Points FD - 20.56 DK - 20.56 The quarterbacks coming in the upper salary tier are basically all in great spots this week and it could be tough picking between and among them. Really, I could have written up anyone in this group and it would have been fine. From that perspective, we could see ownership spread out some on both sites. But I do think Justin Fields has one of the higher floors here in a home matchup against the Lions. From a floor perspective, Fields has one of the higher ones around. He runs a ton, averaging 12.25 rushes per game over his last four. He hasn’t found the end zone with all that time on the ground, though that could be something of an outlier. Plus, the Bears will air it out if playing from behind which could, for sure, be the case against Detroit here. I especially like the price on DraftKings coming sub-$7K. Brock Purdy FD 8100 DK 6500 Opponent SEAProj Points FD - 20.51 DK - 20.51 Man, who has been better than this guy over the last four weeks? In that span. Brock Purdy has completed 74% of his passes and averaged 288 yards through the air. Plus he has 11 total touchdown passes. It’s been a fantastic run and has actually vaulted him up into the MVP discussion. Now, he’ll get another great matchup at home against the Seahawks with the 49ers coming in as -10.5 favorites. There was a bit of a struggle two weeks ago in this same matchup, but even with that you saw the numbers posted above. He’s coming off a major chalk week on DraftKings and that could be the case again. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 10500 DK 9200 Opponent SEAProj Points FD - 24.67 DK - 27.25 It feels like one of the highest floor plays you can make this week is to stack Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey in cash and just let the 49ers offense take you all the way there. After all, this group has put up points in bunches, and really it’s looked pretty easy for them of late. In that one, he took 17 shots and finished with 31 points, along with nine rebounds and six assists. The Bulls get one of the best DFS matchups on the slate here against Charlotte, and though White’s price has risen, he’s still very much a play. Cam Thomas FD - $6700 DK - $7100Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 40.91 DK - 43.17 A very encouraging sign in Brooklyn was the number of minutes Cam Thomas ran over the weekend against the Orlando Magic. Though he struggled in the shooting department, going 7-23 from the field, he did run 38 minutes in all and ended up with five assists, a second-best for his career. Now he’ll get another chance at a high-usage game against a Hawks team that lacks a ton in point-of-attack defense. I like the price on both sites and don’t think it’s been fully adjusted to a starting role with a bigger minutes load. Killian Hayes FD - $5400 DK - $5400Opponent - MEMProj Pts FD - 26.82 DK - 27.25 Do the Pistons know what they are doing? It sure doesn’t seem like it. But can we consider some of their guys in fantasy for now? Sure. Killian Hayes stuck in the starting lineup with a backcourt of Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey as well, and I think that is going to be how they run things again. He played 33 minutes, went 6-11 from the field, and finished with 13 points. He will tick in the defensive stats as well, and I think the floor is high enough in what should at least be a close game against the Grizzlies. That should put Jordan Goodwin in the starting lineup as the point guard and give him a higher minutes floor. The Suns, already without Bradley Beal as well, are pretty desperate for guard play at this point, and Goodwin does fit that need to a degree. He’s coming pretty cheap and has been a solid per-minute fantasy contributor off the bench this season. He’s shooting 36% from beyond the arc and averages about 12 points and four assists per 30 minutes. Jalen Suggs FD - $5900 DK - $6200Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 33.04 DK - 34.29M The Magic walk back into a matchup with the Wizards on Friday, with Washington representing one of the better chances to score points in DFS. That’s because they rank second-to-last in defensive efficiency and third in pace. Fast and bad at D? We’ll take it. Jalen Suggs has a higher minutes floor right now as long as the games stay close with the Magic needing guard play since Markelle Fultz is on the shelf. The scoring can come and go for Suggs, but the price isn’t close to prohibitive, and he makes for a higher floor play here. Derrick Rose (FD 4800 DK 4900) is in the Memphis Grizzlies starting lineup and with the new role is coming way too cheap on both sites. We could have some real point guard choices in this price range tonight though that’s a bit easier on DraftKings with the different position eligibility. If Victor Wembanyama sits then I think we seriously consider playing Devin Vassell (FD 6500 DK 6500), Jeremy Sochan (FD 5600 DK 6100), and maybe even Tre Jones (FD 5700 DK 5200).
