Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Tyrese Maxey FD - $9000 DK - $8900Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 49.71 DK - 53.02 We have a lot of value on this slate and there are almost too many plays to mention as we get going here. That being said, Tyrese Maxey has to be at the top of the list with Joel Embiid set to miss another game with a knee injury. Maxey’s usage really spikes with Embiid off the court, and he’s coming off a 24-shot game against the Jazz on Saturday. He finished with 25 points and nine assists in that one (a loss mind you). This matchup is a dream against the Hawks who play the second-worst defensive efficiency and run the fifth-fastest pace. Maxey isn’t priced all the way up for Embiid out so we are still getting a value here. Tre Jones FD - $5600 DK - $5800Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 33.08 DK - 35.04 Tre Jones is going to stick in the Spurs' starting lineup now, and that’s great news for his fantasy prospects moving forward. He’s been there for two games now and has averaged 34 minutes, 18 points, five assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. The floor is high enough at his current price points, and he’s gifted with a matchup against the (also) bottom-feeding Detroit Pistons here on Wednesday. The sites haven’t fully adjusted his price for the starting role, and we can safely run him in cash games. T.J. McConnell FD - $7000 DK - $6700Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 38.06 DK - 39.79 Tyrese Haliburton is going to miss extended time with the hamstring injury he suffered on Monday after doing a major split when slipping on a drive during the game. It should mean a ton more run for TJ McConnell, who is one of the best fantasy points-per-minute guards we have. He might not draw the start (it could be Andrew Nembhard), but I’m expecting a ton of minutes from TJ, who averages about 15 points, ten assists, five rebounds, and two steals per 30 minutes this season. Jaden Ivey FD - $6400 DK - $1Opponent -...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $9600 DK - $9300Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 52.63 DK - 55.25 We are loaded at guard for this Tuesday slate, and choosing between and among these guys might not be all that easy. De'Aaron Fox comes in with the best matchup, with the Kings -11 road favorites against the Pistons without Cade Cunningham. That’s going to be a smash spot, but it could mean significant blowout risk as well. Fox had his worst game of the season against the Pelicans last time out, scoring just three points 26 minutes, but that is a total outlier and he’s a strong play today. Jalen Brunson FD - $9000 DK - $9100Opponent - PORProj Pts FD - 47.66 DK - 51.51 The Knicks are also in a great spot on Tuesday, facing off against the Blazers. The Knicks are still running very tight rotations so as long as these games stay close, he could run 38+ in regulation. Brunson is averaging 26 points on 47% from the field and a whopping 43.5% from beyond the arc. Portland hasn’t been a total wreck on defense this season, but they’ve been below average for sure. Brunson has such a high floor because of the minutes. Desmond Bane FD - $8500 DK - $8500Opponent - DALProj Pts FD - 45.49 DK - 49.79 Marcus Smart FD - $7000 DK - $6300Opponent - DALProj Pts FD - 33.9 DK - 36.71 Ja Morant has been lost for the season, and the hits for the Grizzlies just keep on coming. It’s a terrible beat for a team starting to turn things around since Morant’s return. Now, the bulk of the offense will fall on the shoulders of Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart, who are set to play huge minutes with a lot of usage. Smart led the team in shots last game, hoisting 20 against the Phoenix Suns in a win without Morant on the court. He finished with 25 points, eight assists, and six rebounds when it was all said and done. Meanwhile, Bane took *only* 14 shots in the effort but was efficient enough, scoring 23 points...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Andre Jackson Jr. FD - $3900 DK - $3100Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 21.03 DK - 22.39 Malik Beasley FD - $4400 DK - $4600Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 26.35 DK - 29.27 Damian Lillard has already been ruled out of this game for personal reasons. And backup Cam Payne is also out with a concussion. That will leave the Bucks with a lot of backcourt minutes to fill, and it sure seems like Andre Jackson and Malik Beasley will see a ton of run in this one. Presumably, Andre Jackson will join the starters here. And though he isn’t exactly a fantasy dynamo, the minutes should be enough to keep him a value at his current price points. He doesn’t shoot at all, but with no Lillard and more minutes, he should (fingers crossed) get there by contributing in other areas in the stat line against a weak Jazz team. And then there is Malik Beasley, who got his minutes iced last game, but they were in favor of Andre Jackson being paired with Damian Lillard. That isn’t a concern here with the latter out and Payne not around. I think Beasley is another value, especially if the usage ticks up some here with Dame’s shots out of the picture. Cody Martin FD - $5100 DK - $5400Opponent - CHIProj Pts FD - 27.67 DK - 28.1 The Hornets have been dealt many injuries this season, and it’s messed with their plans in a big way. Now, with LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward out, plus PJ Washington set to miss the game, Cody Martin is going to stick in the starting lineup where he landed last game, playing 36 minutes and going for 13 points, five assists and a couple of rebounds. He isn’t going to get a ton of usage in this offense, sharing the court with Terry Rozier and Miles Bridges. But the minutes should be high enough to warrant a cash game play at his salaries. Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis are both questionable. If they sat against the Pacers then Jaylen Brown (FD 8500 DK 8200), Derrick White (FD 8000...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Donovan Mitchell FD - $10600 DK - $9500Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 57.25 DK - 60.27 The Cavs and Wizards are playing the second leg of a home-and-home after Cleveland blew the doors off Washington the last time out. Donovan Mitchell was a popular play for that game and should be again here. He only got 22 minutes because the game was well over by the start of the fourth quarter, but he still finished with 22 points, four assists, and three rebounds. That’s on the very low end of expectation here against the best DFS matchup around, with Washington ranking dead last in defense and first in overall pace. Blowout risk for sure, but Mitchell is still a cash game play easily. Trae Young FD - $10200 DK - $10100Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 54.09 DK - 59.61 DraftKings and FanDuel don’t agree on the same games for the main slates, but luckily some of the best matchups are all happening on the earlier side. Trae Young and the Hawks take on the Pacers with a game total sitting in the 262 range. This one should be a total track meet with very little defense to speak of. Trae is averaging 28 points a game, shooting 38% from three, and Quinn Snyder has been fine running him close to 40 minutes a game if things stay close. He’s expensive, but the floor is so high because of the game environment. Terry Rozier FD - $9000 DK - $8400Opponent - CHIProj Pts FD - 41.87 DK - 45.36M He isn’t as good as the two guys above, but on FanDuel, he’s coming considerably cheaper and has the potential to put up a ton of shots in this game. Chicago is a middling defense, with Rozier putting up 20+ shots in five of his last six games. There’s still no LaMelo Ball, so the offense is running through Scary Terry, and over the last six, he’s averaged more than seven assists per game as well. If the Wizards could just keep things close then Tyus Jones (FD 6600 DK 5800) would look like a great value....
Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 18 Main Slate 1/7/23

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Dak Prescott FD 8700 DK 8000 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 24.64 DK - 24.64 Week 18 always offers some of the trickier DFS situations because teams’ motivations are all over the place, with some sitting, some going all-out, and some kind of in between. The Dallas Cowboys fall into the all-out category with a chance to win the NFC East. That should mean a ton of passes from Dak Prescott against the Washington Commanders and one of the worst defenses in the entire league. It’s a dream spot for Dak Prescott who has put up some awesome numbers this season, completing 68% of his passes for 4,237 yards and a 32:8 TD:INT rate. The price is up there, but the floor might be the highest of any QB on the slate. Justin Fields FD 8400 DK 7200 Opponent GBProj Points FD - 22.08 DK - 22.08 The Bears aren’t playing for anything here, though this could be one final audition for Justin Fields to remain the starting quarterback into next season. They already have the #1 pick via the Panthers, so they are in a bit of house money territory against the Packers. This could be play spoiler territory, and I love the floor on Fields, who has been completing passes efficiently enough and still runs as much as any quarterback in the game. Coming cheaper than Dak with the ground game as a floor-raiser, I do like this spot for Fields, especially on DraftKings. Tyrod Taylor FD 7000 DK 5300 Opponent PHIProj Points FD - 18.69 DK - 18.69 Going on the cheaper side of things, we get Tyrod Taylor who was a popular DraftKings play in Week 17 and could be one again this time around. The Giants aren’t playing for much besides spoiler, but that’s what they did last week against the Rams where Taylor was fantasy gold at these price points. He threw for 319 yards and a touchdown while also running six times for 40 yards. Now he’ll get an Eagles’ defense that’s been an absolute sieve of late, giving it up to Kyler Murray and the Cardinals just last week. This is another good spot for Taylor and the Giants. Running Back Tony Pollard FD 7600 DK 6500 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 17.55 DK - 19.98 Oof, can we really do it again? I think we can do it...
