Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8800 DK 7700 Opponent KCProj Points FD - 26.43 DK - 26.43 Lamar Jackson showed last week that his particular fantasy upside translated just fine (again) to a playoff atmosphere. He completed 73% of his passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns, which doesn’t look like much. But then you add in the 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, and now you are really cooking. Things will be a bit tougher against a Chiefs defense that’s much better than Houston’s. But overall, this is the spot to pay up and roster Jackson on a shorter slate. His floor is just so much higher than any other quarterback going, and it isn’t like the price is completely out of whack, even with the lack of overall roster options. We typically don’t just roll one quarterback here, but again, Lamar Jackson is so far above the rest of the group that I’m hesitant to tout anyone else for cash games. Brock Purdy, considering the matchup, would be the guy. But he looked shaky last week and there’s a chance the 49ers are playing without Deebo Samuel. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 11000 DK 9000 Opponent DETProj Points FD - 28.33 DK - 30.62 Regarding spend-up options, you have to start cash games with Lamar Jackson + Christian McCaffrey and do business with whatever is left. These two are so far ahead of the field in terms of projection for a short slate that it’s almost laughable. With Deebo Samuel banged up early in the Divisional Round, CMC was everything for the 49ers, racking up 17 carries, 98 yards, and two touchdowns on the ground while also leading the team in targets for a 7/30 line through the air. The gap between him and the RB2 (on the fantasy slate) here is the same as the gap between the RB2 and someone who doesn’t play. He will be the highest-owned player for a reason. Fade at your own risk. Jahmyr Gibbs FD 7000 DK 6400 Opponent SFProj Points FD - 15.56 DK - 17.13 Choosing between the 49ers running backs, David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs can be tough on a game-by-game basis because of how these two are used. Namely, they split duties and sometimes can end up meeting in the fantasy middle. I’m going with the idea here that the Lions are playing from behind...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard LaMelo Ball FD - $9800 DK - $9600Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 53.51 DK - 57.18 The Hornets traded away Terry Rozier to the Heat, bringing back Kyle Lowry in the process. But the latter won’t be playing with the team and now we have some opportunity, such as it were, opening up in Charlotte. LaMelo Ball’s minutes ticked up to 35 last game and we know his game brings a high fantasy floor. He’s averaging 25 points, eight assists and 5.4 rebounds on the season with a matchup tonight against the Pistons that’s one of the best you can get. Considering the context around the team and the opponent, this is a pretty easy play on both sites. Anthony Edwards FD - $8800 DK - $8700Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 47.16 DK - 50.82 There are some bad defenses playing on this slate and the Timberwolves draw one of them. The Wizards rank 28th in defensive efficiency and run the fastest pace. As we’ve said many times, this is the dream spot for fantasy production. Though Minnesota is pretty healthy right now with Mike Conley coming back after missing last game, rostering someone like Anthony Edwards still brings a very high floor. Karl-Anthony Towns big game aside, Edwards is still a dude averaging a 25/5/5 line on the season with solidly efficient scoring numbers. Cody Martin FD - $5100 DK - $4300Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 27.19 DK - 25.65 Terry Rozier is gone and the Hornets are down a pretty important guard in their rotation. It would make sense for Cody Martin to join the starters on a semi-permanent basis now with minutes (and shots) up for grabs on this new-look team. Martin isn’t a high usage guy, but he’s also coming cheaper on this slate, especially on DraftKings. With minutes that should press to and over 30, he has a higher floor if rebounds, assists, and especially defensive stats can all get there on more run. Along with Martin, there is a chance we see more minutes and opportunity for Nick Smith Jr. (FD 3800 DK 4100) now. Small Forward Miles...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Jamal Murray FD - $8400 DK - $8400Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 43.5 DK - 46.65 The Nuggets draw a great matchup against the Pacers on Tuesday with the latter running the second-fastest pace in the league while registering the 26th-ranked defense. There’s a reason this game has a 243 over/under, easily the highest of the whole slate. Jamal Murray has been running big minutes of late, averaging 38 over the last four, all in regulation. The scoring can come and go, relatively speaking, but that’s also mostly keeping his price from reaching the $9K range. I love the matchup and the price on FanDuel specifically. It might be tough to roster Jokic in this game if you are rolling with Anthony Davis, but Murray gives you a chance to get exposure to this game. D'Angelo Russell FD - $7100 DK - $6500Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 37.06 DK - 40.46 From a fantasy and projections perspective, LeBron James did us a huge favor early by announcing that he wasn’t going to play this game against the Clippers. While it doesn’t give the Lakers a leg up, it certainly gives us plenty of lead time on this situation from a DFS standpoint. D'Angelo Russell was already back in the starting lineup before this move, and he’ll ring in as one of the better fantasy plays here, considering the usage bump he gets with LBJ off the court. It goes from 22% to 26%, the second-highest on the team after Anthony Davis. The assists climb as well, with the ball in his hands more. His price isn’t reflective of the Lakers missing their point guard and overall GOAT. T.J. McConnell FD - $5200 DK - $5500Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 37.32 DK - 39.18 It was announced that Tyrese Haliburton will miss the next three games due to his hamstring injury, which in theory, should mean a ton of run for TJ McConnell. Unfortunately, that isn’t as surefire a thing as we thought, considering what happened last game. McConnell started and then played a whopping (read: horrific) 12 minutes against the Suns. This is a...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard LaMelo Ball FD - $9900 DK - $8800Opponent - SAProj Pts FD - 50.26 DK - 54.51 LaMelo Ball has been back from injury for three games, and we are starting to see the minutes tick back up, a good sign for his fantasy floor on a nightly basis. Per minute, the dude has been great, averaging 26 points, 5.7 assists, and six rebounds in fewer than 30 minutes per. That’s fantastic, and now he’ll get a Spurs team playing some of the worst defense in the NBA. The DraftKings price is way too low. We can consider stacking the Hornets at their current price points. Dejounte Murray FD - $8100 DK - $7500Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 43.32 DK - 46.51 Bogdan Bogdanovic FD - $6100 DK - $5600Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 36.52 DK - 39.13 Trae Young is going to sit this game, so stacking Dejounte Murray and Bogdan Bogdanovic is going to be the play in cash games where possible. These two see hue usage bumps with Trae off the court. Murray goes from 25% to 29%, and Bogdan climbs to 24% as well. Both stand to see minutes upticks as well and should be the starting backcourt in this one. These are pretty easy plays, considering the context. And though the matchup against Miami isn’t the best in the league, the other considerations more than makeup for it. Devin Vassell FD - $6900 DK - $6700Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 34.98 DK - 37.31 Tre Jones FD - $6700 DK - $5800Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 32.57 DK - 34.94 Victor Wembanyama is going to sit out this game against the Charlotte Hornets, meaning the rest of the Spurs will stand to see a significant uptick across the board when it comes to fantasy production. Devin Vassell is a clear winner in that respect with the usage going from 22% on the season to 26% when Wemby is off the court. They’ll need his scoring in this one. He should have plenty of shot volume against a bad defensive team in the Hornets. Also, Tre Jones comes with...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $11000 DK - $10200Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 52.42 DK - 53.35 There are a number of strong point guard options on this Thursday slate, but it’s hard to get away from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on either site. He draws one of the best DFS matchups around against the Indiana Pacers who are tied for the fastest pace in the league. The game total is sitting at a whopping 247, significantly above every other game on the slate save one. SGA has put himself in the MVP discussion by averaging 31 points, 6.3 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.1 steals + blocks. It’s an overwhelming line stacked with a game that could be a track meet. Jalen Brunson FD - $8900 DK - $8500Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 45.97 DK - 48.49 The Thunder get to play the Pacers, and the Knicks run up against the Wizards. Washington is one of the best DFS matchups around, running the fastest pace (tied with the Pacers) while also ranking second-to-last in defensive efficiency. It’s the perfect meeting point when trying to round out DFS rosters. Jalen Brunson is coming off back-to-back 30-point games in the last two and is averaging career-highs in points and assists. Sitting below $9K on both sites, he’s a cash game play for sure. Kevin Huerter FD - $5500 DK - $5200Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 30.85 DK - 33.39 We will need some cheaper options for this slate in order to roster the SGAs and Brunsons of the world. Kevin Huerter (mostly) fits the bill here, coming in the $5K range on both sites. He’s reentered the Kings’ starting lineup for the last two games, playing 39 and 26 minutes, respectively. Foul trouble bit him a bit last game, but in general he’s been solid, putting up 23 shots in that span. With a fast-paced game coming against the Pacers, the shot volume should be there for Huerter who definitely needs to knock down threes in order to hit value. Small Forward Vince Williams Jr. FD - $6500 DK - $6100Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 39.25 DK -...
