NFL Best Ball ADP Value Picks for the 2021 Season

NFL Best Ball ADP Value Picks for the 2021 Season Earlier this summer, I put together a Best Ball Strategy Article looking at everything from roster construction, to draft types, to draft strategies. Now, after completing a bunch of fast and slow drafts I wanted to bring you three of my top ADP value plays. These are players I feel can deliver value much higher than they are going in drafts. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Chase Edmonds Position - RB Team - Arizona Cardinals ADP - 6th/7th Round I may be putting this out a little late as I was getting him in Rounds 7-8 as recent as 1-2 weeks ago but I still feel there is value here to outperform a 6th round pick. He is the #1 on the depth chart and while Conners will take some snaps away, there isn't really anyone behind them and Conners also has an injury history so I feel Edmonds is safe for 15 touches per game with the upside of 20 per game. What I really like about Edmonds is that despite the timeshare in 2020, he was 7th in overall in team target share(12.3%) among all running backs and had a 79% catch rate on 67 targets. This is a great baseline for this year and as I mentioned above there is a ton of opportunity for him to perform like an RB1 at an RB3 price. I also like Edmonds even more on teams where I have stacked Kyler Murray with DeAndre Hopkins early on or Kyler with a later-round WR on the Cards. Antonio Brown Position - WR Team - Tampa Bay Buccaneers ADP - 7th/8th Round While he missed the first eight games last year, he ended up leading the team in targets per game(7.8) and actually had one more double-digit target game than Godwin. He was also very efficient catching 73% of his targets(80% in the redzone) and had the highest yards per catch(5.6) of all Bucs wideouts. There are a ton of mouths to feed in Tampa Bay but it's clear Brown and Brady were on the same page in the second half of the season and I with even more time to prep I see that connection continuing to grow. Not that Godwin and Evans don't have more overall upside but both are going in the 3rd/4th round while we can snag Brown in the 7th/8th. Salvon Ahmed Position - RB Team - Miami Dolphins ADP - 19th/20th Round While...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 8/6/21

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Friday 8/6/21 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Chris Bassitt FD - P 9800 DK - SP 9800 Opponent - TEX (Mike Foltynewicz) Park - OAK FD - 44.32 DK - 24.15 My top pitcher on this slate is driven mainly by matchup as we all know Burnes is the better overall pitcher and it's not really close(sorry A's fans). While he faces a tough Giants team, Bassitt becomes my top option as he gets an elite matchup against the Rangers who have scored a league-low 44 runs since the ASB. In Bassitt's defense to my opening statement, he is having a career year with 3.28 ERA/3.92 xFIP and has already set career-highs in wins(11) and K rate(25%). All things considered, I will be overweight on Bassitt in all formats, especially on FanDuel where he is $1,100 cheaper than Burnes. German Márquez FD - P 9900 DK - SP 8400 Opponent - MIA (Sandy Alcantara) Park - COL FD - 31.57 DK - 16.52 We have a full slate but the SP2 decision on DraftKings is not an easy one. It may seem crazy to consider a pitcher in Coors "safe" for cash games but hear me out. First of all, Vegas seems to expect a decent performance as the initial total(9.5) is the lowest I have seen in Coors since early in the season and the home team opens as a -160 favorite. For Marquez, he has actually been better at home with a 3.29 ERA(3.83 on the road) and .266 wOBA against(.300 on the road). At his price on Draftkings, we are looking for about 16 points for min value and he has hit that in seven of his last eight starts, topping 20 points four times. Lock and load. Catcher/First Base Joey Votto FD 4200 DK 6000 Opponent - PIT (JT Brubaker) Park - PIT FD - 12.05 DK - 9.04 The price went up after another terrific outing but if you are paying up for one player, Joey Votto has placed himself in that conversation. From a first base perspective, he is still cheaper than Vladdy, has been much better in the short term, and has a better matchup against JT Brubaker. The Reds are in a great spot to pile up the runs again tonight and Votto is my top play at first base. Jonathan Schoop FD 3700 DK 4200 Opponent - CLE (Cal Quantrill) Park - CLE FD - 10.33 DK -...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday 8/5/21 – Main Slate

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday 8/5/21 - Main Slate Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Sonny Gray FD - P 9300 DK - SP 9300 Opponent - PIT (Wil Crowe) Park - CIN FD - 34.63 DK - 18.69 After two ugly starts out of the break, Gray rebounded in a big way in his last start limiting the Mets to one earned run while striking out seven and walking just one. That is much more on par with what we have seen from him all season and he comes in with an xFIP(3.32) that is nearly a full run lower than his ERA(4.26) telling me there are more good starts on the horizon. Great spot tonight as he and the Reds are big -225 favorites facing a Pirates team that is a bottom 5-10 offense in every category. Lock and load in all formats. Framber Valdez FD - P 9700 DK - RP 9900 Opponent - MIN (Griffin Jax) Park - HOU FD - 29.32 DK - 15.34 Valdez is a little more expensive than Gray on both sites but still under $10K and has an equally good matchup as the biggest favorite(-275) on the slate. He faces a Twins team that has been mid-pack since the All-Star break and has dropped seven of their last 10 games and could be without Josh Donaldson for a sixth straight game. For Valdez, he got a late start to the season but has made up for lost time with a 7-2 record, 3.01 ERA, and 3.66 xFIP in 12 starts. Like Gray, he is in play in all formats and I personally love pairing them together on DraftKings which keeps us below $20 combined. Catcher/First Base Joey Votto FD 4400 DK 5700 Opponent - PIT (Wil Crowe) Park - PIT FD - 12.03 DK - 9.03 First base is loaded and I wouldn't blame you for going either of them tonight but I lean Votto as that $500 discount Vladdy could easily come into play on DraftKings. While Votto isn't on the same MVP trajectory, he has been arguably the hottest bat since the ASB hitting .328 with a .511 wOBA and nearly set an MLB record with home runs in seven straight. Combine the red-hot form with a great matchup vs. the Pirates and Wil Crowe(5.40 ERA/4.85 XFIP) and you have a core play for all formats. Andrew Vaughn FD 2800 DK 2900 Opponent - KC (Daniel Lynch) Park - KC FD...

The Olympics once again gave us another entertaining event and saw American Xander Schauffele stand atop the podium on Sunday afternoon. Alongside him were two surprise medalists in Rory Sabbatini(Silver) and C.T. Pan(Bronze) and the Bronze even went down to a three-player playoff. In that playoff was Rory McIlroy who was not at all interested in the Olympics in 2016 and wasn't overly excited prior to this year. That tune changed as he went through the event and I am sure he will be part of the Irish team in 2024. With the Olympics in the rearview mirror, the PGA Tour now gets back to its regularly scheduled programming with just two events left until the 2021 playoffs. Technically three with the alternate Barracuda Championship this week but for DFS purposes and this article, we will be concentrating on the World Golf Championship event. This marks the third year TPC Southwind has hosted a WGC event and before that from 1989 to 2018, it hosted the St. Jude Classic which was a full field event. That is the big difference this week as this will be a no-cut event with a limited field of 66 invited golfers. With World #1 Jon Rahm still out with Covid and Christiaan Bezuidenhout skipping the event, we have a loaded field with 48 of the Top 50 players in the world teeing it up at TPC Southwind in Memphis. The course is a Par 70 that is listed at 7,237 yards on the scorecard and has been ranked 14th and 25th in the two year it has been used for the WGC and averaged as a Top 15 hardest course on Tour as the St. Jude Classic. Let's take a look at the scorecard, previous winners, and then dig into some stats. The Course TPC Southwind Par 70 -...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 8/2/21

Pitchers Tylor Megill FD 8500 DK 9600 Opponent - MIA (Undecided) Park - MIA FD - 34.87 DK - 18.14 The week gets started with a small slate and an even smaller selection of pitchers but one that jumps off the page is rookie Tyor Megill. The Mets rookie has been brilliant through seven starts with a 2.04 ERA on three plus pitches in a fastball, slider, and changeup. That changeup is creating a 41% swing rate at balls outside the zone and a wild 22% swinging-strike rate(see video below). Tonight the 1st place Mets face the last-place Marlins who rank as a bottom-five offense in almost every category since the All-Star break. The price is creeping up there but all things considered including the limited options, I will have exposure to Megill in all formats. Tylor Megill, Wicked Changeups. 🤢 pic.twitter.com/xQkcOAk9ba — Rob Friedman (@PitchingNinja) July 29, 2021 Andrew Heaney FD 7600 DK 8600 Opponent - BAL (Jorge López) Park - BAL FD - 34.79 DK - 18.51 You know it's a limited pitching slate when Andrew Heaney makes the article so make sure to load up on your antacids if watching the game. On a serious note, he is coming off two plus starts allowing the Rockies and Twins just four hits each while striking out 15 which was then rewarded by a trade to the Yankees who loaded up for bear on offense. His first start in pinstripes comes against the Orioles as a -240 favorite and at his price on both sites, is my favorite PTS/$ play on the mound. Catcher/First Base Anthony Rizzo FD - 1B 4400 DK - 1B 4700 Opponent - BAL (Jorge López) Park - NYY FD - 13.94 DK - 10.43 Rizzo was a part of the Yankees trade deadline additions and has fit right in and already setting records. He reached base in each of his first eight at-bats and finished the series against the Marlins 5 for 9 with two walks, two home runs, three RBI, and five runs scored. He now gets a matchup against a struggling pitcher who has given up 4+ earned runs in six of his last nine starts. He isn't a must-play on FanDuel who has caught up to the new situation but on DraftKings, he is easily my top play at first base tonight. Josh Bell FD 3100 DK 4500 Opponent - PHI (Ranger...
