Brown FD 7800 DK 7100 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 13.26 DK - 15.69 Julio Jones FD 7000 DK 6800 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 12.02 DK - 14.39 First of all, this game has the 2nd highest total on the slate featuring two teams who run a Top 10 pace. Let's start with the Titans who feature several players who may not be Top 5 highest owned at their positions. It starts with at QB with Ryan Tannehill who comes in the same price range as the projected highest owned QB on the slate, Jalen Hurts. This gives us leverage over the field and it's not like we are losing a ton of upside as the Cards ranked mid-pack against the pass last year and look to be in decline coming into 2021. He also gets even more weapons in 2021 as the team added Julio Jones in the offseason to play opposite of A.J. Brown. That is a lethal combo especially with the attention defense's have to pay to Derrick Henry who can easily blow up a game at any point. Most of my TEN stacks will have Tannehill and just ONE of the two wideouts but I will mix in some double-wideout lineups to maximize my upside should they both go off! Pitchers Robbie Ray FD - P 11200 DK - SP 10700 Opponent - BAL (Chris Ellis) Park - BAL FD - 36.78 DK - 19.47 Ray has crept his way up to almost being the favorite for the CY Young award in the American League. Sure, his closest competition dealing with injuries has helped but Ray has been elite in his own right, especially down the stretch. He enters the night with four straight starts tallying double-digit K's and 32+ DK/55+ FD points. The matchup is only average as O's are much better against lefties than righties but Ray has been matchup-proof lately and is easily my top pitcher in all formats. Framber Valdez FD 10500 DK 9100 Opponent - LAA (Shohei Ohtani) Park - LAA FD - 37.14 DK - 19.64 Valdez has been on a roller coaster ride in the second half but we cannot ignore the matchup against the Angels as outside of Ohtani it is getting pretty ugly. Going back to the beginning of August they rank last in wOBA(.280), 2nd to last in wRC+(77), and 3rd in K rate(25.4%). Despite a few bad starts, Valdez enters the night with a sparkling 3.08 ERA backed up by a 3.51 xFIP but does lack big K upside(22%) so he falls to #2 in my rankings tonight. Still safe in all formats and my top SP2 on DraftKings. Catcher/First Base Salvador Perez FD - C 4200 DK - C 5800 Opponent - MIN (Griffin Jax) Park - MIN FD - 10.02 DK - 7.62 I never thought I would be leading off with a nearly $6K catcher but here we are. The Royals are once again one of the top projected offenses in a great spot against Griffin Jax who has given up 19 earned runs(6 HR) over his last three starts and sits with a 6.79 ERA/5.66 xFIPon the season. For Perez, he has been in beast mode in the second half with a .403 wOBA/157 wRC+ and leads the league in that time with 21 home runs. It's another Royals chalk night and it starts with Perez in all formats. Ty France FD - 1B 2900 DK - 1B 4700 Opponent - ARI (Madison Bumgarner) Park - SEA FD - 9.05 DK - 6.91 For value at the position, I like turning to Ty France who continues to prove the Mariners won the 2020 trade. Pitchers Marcus Stroman FD - P 8900 DK - SP 9400 Opponent - MIA (Jesús Luzardo) Park - MIA FD - 33.74 DK - 17.35 Pitching is a mess once again on Thursday but the good news is the top option is pretty straightforward here. While Stroman doesn't really provide that slate-breaking upside, he has been very consistent in 2021 as he enters with a 2.93 ERA/3.65 xFIP. Justifying the top price on the slate is the matchup against the Marlins who are a mid-pack offense overall and have struggled recently to a .278 wOBA/75 wRC+(both bottom 5) over the last couple of weeks. All things considered, Stroman is my top pitcher in all formats. Ranger Suárez FD - P 8600 DK - SP 7400 Opponent - COL (Antonio Senzatela) Park - PHI FD - 24.87 DK - 12.72 After dominating out of the bullpen for most of the season, the Phillies have eased him into the rotation and it is paying off as he has posted a stellar 1.71 ERA. The only concern here is that he was pulled after 71 pitches in his last start but manage, Joe Girardi stated it was merely precautionary. I will take his word for it as we don't really have many options. Either way, Suarez gets a plus matchup against the Rockies who have struggled recently(.303 wOBA/74 wRC+) and rank dead last on the road with a .273 wOBA and 68 wRC+. Suarez is my top SP2 on DraftKings and a GPP punt on FanDuel. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD 3900 DK 6000 Opponent - WSH (Erick Fedde) Park - WSH FD - 15.81 DK - 11.83 Very small slate tonight but one thing is very clear. Get as many Braves in your lineup as possible. It starts with a matchup against Erick Fedde who has given up nine earned runs in his last two starts and enters with a 5.27 ERA on the season. For Freeman, he is one the best hitters in the game and despite a "down season" still enters the night with a near-elite .291/.388/.497 slash line. Provided enough value shows up tonight, Freeman is my top overall play at first base with his best value coming on FanDuel. Pitchers Brandon Woodruff FD - P 10500 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - PHI (Zack Wheeler) Park - MIL FD - 40.6 DK - 23.21 Two pitchers in the thick of the National League CY Young race go head to head on Monday afternoon and while I will have exposure to both in GPP I lean Woodruff in cash games. First of all, he is cheaper on DraftKings which could provide huge on this smaller slate. What really stands out is the current form as Wheeler has struggled mightily giving up 4+ earned runs in four straight. For Woodruff, even with one big dud(6 earned runs @STL), has been terrific with a 3.03 ERA and 30% K rate in the second half. The floor feel much safer making him my top pitcher on this slate. Sonny Gray FD - P 9200 DK - SP 9000 Opponent - CHC (Justin Steele) Park - CHC FD - 34.47 DK - 18.64 Given this smaller slate and the elite matchup against the Cubs, I absolutely love the price on Sonny Gray considering he was over $10K in early August. Since two bad starts out of the ASB, he has been terrific posting a 2.79 ERA/3.95 xFIP and 25% K rate over his last seven starts. He now gets arguably his best matchup of the second half as a -165 favorite against a depleted Cubs team. He is my favorite PTS/$ pitcher on FanDuel and my favorite SP2 on DraftKings in all formats. Catcher/First Base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. FD - 1B 4500 DK - 1B 5600 Opponent - NYY (Jameson Taillon) Park - NYY FD - 12.25 DK - 9.29 This almost feels like a DraftKings pricing mistake as Vladdy comes in red-hot yet has seen his price drop to near season-low levels. He extended his hit streak to 13 games on Sunday and if not for Shohei Ohtani doing never-before-seen-things, he would be the AL MVP as well. He now gets to face a struggling Jameson Taillon that has given up 21 hits and 17 earned runs over his last four starts. There is no way the price stays here so buy low while you can. Josh Bell FD - 1B 3400 DK - 1B/OF 4400 Opponent - NYM (Trevor Williams) Park - WSH FD - 11.01 DK - 8.22 If paying up for pitching and looking for some value at the position, I...

He is coming off a down start but even giving up three home runs(4 ER), he didn't destroy our lineups as he did tally seven punchouts. He now gets an elite matchup against a Rangers team that ranks dead last(and by a large margin) in almost every offensive category in the second half. At these prices, especially on DraftKings, he is easily my top pitcher on this slate. Kyle Gibson FD 9400 DK 8100 Opponent - MIA (Jesús Luzardo) Park - MIA FD - 34.91 DK - 18.67 If you are looking for upside you might want to look elsewhere but for cash games, Gibson provides us a consistent floor. Since coming over in a trade at the deadline, he has held opponents to two or fewer earned runs in four of his five starts(three in the other) and has posted a 3.16 ERA. He now faces a Marlins team that has fallen off in the second half ranking bottom five in almost all offensive categories. Catcher/First Base Jared Walsh FD 3100 DK 3900 Opponent - TEX (Glenn Otto) Park - TEX FD - 11.22 DK - 8.42 The first thing that stands out when breaking down the first base position is all the value that is available. For me, that starts with Jared Walsh who is back under $4K on DraftKings while almost hitting the $6K range earlier this summer. He was the reason the Angels released future HoFer Albert Pujols and while not having a breakout season, he has been solid with 25 home runs and 79 RBI. Given the price and his four-game hit streak, I will have exposure to Walsh in all formats tonight, especially as a cash play on DraftKings.
