Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 2
Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 2 The 2021 NFL season is now in full swing and the DFSR team has covered with content all week long. Earlier in the week, we covered our top cash game plays and also looked at all the relevant injuries and now it's time to look at some of the top stacks for GPP formats. Game Stack - Cowboys vs. Chargers We have to wait until the afternoon but this game has the highest total on the slate and is, by far, my favorite place to start my teams in almost every single format. I prefer both teams passing games and if I had to choose just one, it would be the Chargers' side as the Cowboys' pass defense picked up where it left off in 2020, looking absolutely terrible. Add on that they will lose pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence and both starting safeties are questionable this week(Wilson did not practice all week & Wright was limited Thurs/Fri). With all that said let's take a look at both sides. Justin Herbert FD 7600 DK 6700 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 24.18 DK - 24.88 Keenan Allen FD 7400 DK 7000 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 16.18 DK - 19.7 Mike Williams FD 5600 DK 6100 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 12.42 DK - 14.77 Like I mentioned above, I favor the Chargers side a little bit more in this game as a pick to win and for DFS. It starts with quarterback Justin Herbert who is not only cheaper on both sites but is coming off a week where he threw the ball 47 times, eight most of any quarterback to start the season. He only completed 31 of those passes and was only able to throw for one TD as Washington's redzone defense held its own but he did end up with 337 yards and was rated the 4th most aggressive QB in week one(via NextGen Stats). What I really like about both these teams are the concentrated targets to a smaller number of players. For the Chargers, Keenan Allen(13) and Mike Williams(12) drew 25 targets between them(54%) with no other receiver having more than five. It's a small sample size but I feel the Cowboys are going to be much stronger vs. the run than the pass so projecting Herbert for 40+ pass attempts in this projected high-pace game doesn't feel crazy at all and if...

Pitchers Walker Buehler FD 9900 DK 10200 Opponent - CIN (Luis Castillo) Park - CIN FD - 36.68 DK - 20.2 The CY Young awards are coming down to the wire and Buehler is firmly in the conversation in the National League. He has been especially dominant lately holding opponents to two or fewer earned in 11 of his last 12 starts(2.09 ERA). While pitching in Great Amercian Smallpark can be dangerous at times, the Reds have really struggled lately going 7-14 over their last 21 games while averaging under 3.5 runs per game. Buehler is my top pitcher on both sites and I will have exposure in all formats. Dylan Cease FD 8600 DK 9100 Opponent - TEX (Taylor Hearn) Park - TEX FD - 38.36 DK - 20.4 He has a little blip on the radar in his last start but overall has been a very consistent arm for the White Sox and fantasy. Before the last start, he had gone 5+ qualifying for a win in 14 straight and has been striking out about 4% more batters in the second half. Tonight he opens as a -195 favorite in a great matchup against the Rangers who rank dead last in every offensive category in the second half. Fire up Cease in all formats. Catcher/First Base Yuli Gurriel FD 3000 DK 4600 Opponent - ARI (Madison Bumgarner) Park - ARI FD - 14.99 DK - 11.5 The Astros offense has been putting up runs at will recently(35 last 4 games) and I am going right back to the well on Friday. It starts with Gurriel who remains a tremendous value at these prices on both sites given his consistency all season(3.15/.382/.465 slash line) and especially lately as he enters with multi-hit efforts in four of his last five games. At these prices, he is easily my play at first in all formats. Paul Goldschmidt FD 4000 DK 4200 Opponent - SD (Vince Velasquez) Park - SD FD - 11.99 DK - 9.01 This is a case of a huge price differential between the sites as Goldy has reached the $4K mark on FanDuel yet comes cheaper than Gurriel on DraftKings. I am very interested in the latter and making it even better is the fact he comes in red-hot with hits in three straight including two doubles, two home runs, and seven runs scored. He nows faces Velazquez who...

Pitchers Kevin Gausman FD 10600 DK 10600 Opponent - SD (Pierce Johnson) Park - SD FD - 36.97 DK - 20.34 Leading the way on this early slate is Kevin Gausman who is making the most of his one-year deal in San Fran. He enters the night with a 14-5 record but more importantly, an elite 2.65 ERA backed up by a 3.32 xFIP while adding a ton of upside with a 29.4% K rate and the 7th best swing rate(51.4%) in the majors. He now gets a slumping Padres team that went into Wednesday's game losers of five straight while scoring just six runs. There are some slim pickens on this slate and Gausman is easily the top option in all formats. Ian Anderson FD 8000 DK 7900 Opponent - COL (Germán Márquez) Park - COL FD - 34.13 DK - 17.73 From a PTS/$ perspective, Anderson is right at the top of my list under $8K in his fourth start back since injury. He saw mixed results in the first starts but looked very sharp in his last starts holding the Marlins to two earned runs over five innings while striking out nine. He now faces a Rockies team that ranks dead last in almost every offensive stat on the road. Despite the rising price, Anderson will be in my player pool in all formats. Catcher/First Base Jared Walsh FD 2900 DK 4400 Opponent - CHW (Reynaldo López) Park - CHW FD - 9.06 DK - 6.8 Despite the smaller slate, there are some good spots for value and at first, that starts with Jared Walsh. He has been terrific down the stretch with hits in 15 of his last 17 games with five home runs and a .436 wOBA. This is a player who has spent quite a bit of time in the mid to high $5K range on DraftKings and is now heating up and coming at a big discount. Fire him up in all formats. Darin Ruf FD 2500 DK 3900 Opponent - SD (Pierce Johnson) Park - SD FD - 9.83 DK - 7.43 With all the injuries to the Padres rotation, they have signed Ross Detwiler who is projected to get a start on Thursday afternoon. This ties into this value play at first base as Darin Ruf crushes lefties(.428 wOBA/173 wRC+) and has gotten a ton of at-bats near the top of the...

The Course Silverado Resort and Spa Par 72 - 7,123 Yards Greens - Poa/Bent **Click the image above to see a hole by hole breakdown from PGATour.com** Previous Five Winners 2020 - Stewart Cink(.21) 2019 - Cam Champ(-17) 2018 - Kevin Tway(-14) 2017 - Brendan Steele(-15) 2016 - Brendan Steele(-18) If you happened to blink recently you like missed the PGA Tour offseason. That right, after a long one-week break we are back kicking off the 2021-22 season a trip to Napa, California for the Fortinet Championship. You may recognize the event more by its former name, the Safeway Open, but the course is the same and has hosted the event since the 2014-15 season. While we have a fairly weak field overall, it is headlined by world #1 Jon Rahm who is also joined by Hideki Matsuyama(#17), Webb Simpson(#22), and Kevin Na(#25), all of whom rank Top 25 in the world golf rankings. Also in the field this week is Will Zalatoris who finished his Korn Ferry Tour career ranked #119th in the world and worked his way all the way inside the Top 30 by the end of the season. Those players will take on the North course at Silverado Resort & Spa which is a Par 72 setup that is listed at 7,123 yards on the scorecard. It is a tree-lined course and while it is one of the shortest on Tour, it has its challenges off the tee with the trees, doglegs, bunkering, and forces positioning much more than distance. I say positioning and not accuracy as we have seen one of the lowest fairway accuracy averages on Tour yet we see one of the highest rates in terms of greens in regulation. This is because the rough is not very penal meaning hitting the fairway isn't crucial(obviously an advantage) but if missing you...

Pitchers Sandy Alcantara FD - P 10600 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - WSH (Paolo Espino) Park - WSH FD - 33.38 DK - 17.94 We have some interesting options for pitching tonight considering Clayton Kershaw is out of the mix with a likely pitch count coming off the IL. With Darvish and Wainwright facing red-hot offenses I will turn to Sandy Alcantara as my top option. He, himself comes in hot holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in five of his last six starts(1.83 ERA/2.32 xFIP), and has seen a big spike in his K rate striking out 34% in that time. Tonight he face a Nats offense that has been league-average all season. Fire up Alcantara in all formats. Jake Odorizzi FD - P 8300 DK - SP 7600 Opponent - TEX (Spencer Howard) Park - TEX FD - 32.21 DK - 17.18 I am never really excited to roster Odorizzi but on this smaller slate, it is going to be tough to ignore his mid $7K price on DraftKings considering he is the biggest favorite on the slate. The good news is that he has qualified for the win in six straight starts while also holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in five of them. He now faces a Texas team that has been better lately but is still a bottom 5 offense overall. Take the win equity and PTS/$ floor and move on. Catcher/First Base Yuli Gurriel FD 3000 DK 5700 Opponent - TEX (Spencer Howard) Park - TEX FD - 13.01 DK - 9.98 While I would spend the extra $300 for Vladdy on DraftKings, Gurriel gets the edge in the article with the huge price differential on FanDuel. He is not having a Vladdy-type season but is still putting up career-highs when looking at average(.315), OBP(.385), wOBA(.365), and wRC+(137). Consistency has been the name of the game and he enters this plus matchup with hits in 17 of his last 20. By far my favorite play at the position on FanDuel. Ty France FD 2900 DK 4100 Opponent - BOS (Eduardo Rodriguez) Park - BOS FD - 8.79 DK - 6.71 It's almost do or die time for the M's as they enter this three-game series with Boston trailing the wildcard by three games with this being the last series against a team they are chasing. France plays a huge role...
