Guards Trae Young FD - $9700 DK - $10200 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 48.71 DK - 53.5 With a month left in the season, the Hawks sit as the #10 seed which is also the final play-in tournament spot. It will be all hands on deck down the stretch and its starts with their superstars Trae Young. While he can be inconsistent at times in terms of his fantasy performances and that helps keep his price in check compared to other stars and that is great news for tonight as he faces a Pistons team that ranks 26th in defensive efficiency. We never have to worry about volume with Trae either as he is averaging just over 20 shots a game since the start of February and he has also been very consistent for fantasy averaging 49.4 DK/45.0 FD points per game in that time. All things considered, Trae is my favorite guard play and one of my favorite overall plays on this slate. Cade Cunningham FD - $7300 DK - $7500 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 36.09 DK - 39.57 On the other side of this game, we have a team in the Pistons who are all but eliminated from the playoffs but still on the radar as we have a live Rookie of the Year race. Cunningham faded away for a bit but is making a push again as he comes into tonight having averaged 20.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game over his last seven and like Trae, is not afraid to shoot averaging 18.7 shots per game in that time. The price is fair on both sites and considering the elite volume and matchup vs. the Hawks who rank 27th in defensive efficiency I will have exposure to Cade in all formats. Brandon Williams FD - $3500 DK - $3800 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 22.5 DK - 25.93 The Trailblazers are huge underdogs(+15) in this game but come in very short-handed, especially at the guard position. Justice Winslow will miss his fourth straight game while Simons got hurt late last game and is also ruled out for tonight. Williams...

Pennzoil 400 Las Vegas Motor Speedway Track Type - 1.5 Mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate 20° of Banking Last 10 Winners at Las Vegas 2021(2) - Denny Hamlin(started 6th) 2021(1) - Kyle Larson(started 3rd) 2020(2) - Kurt Busch(started 9th) 2020(1) - Joey Logano(started 5th) 2019(2) - Martin Truex Jr(started 24th) 2019(1) - Joey Logano(started 10th) 2018(2) - Brad Keselowski(started 13th) 2018(1) - Kevin Harvick(started 2nd) 2017 - Martin Truex Jr(started 2nd) 2016 - Brad Keselowski(started 4th) We are now into week three of the season and as anticipated, we are already seeing changes and that is where we will start this week. NASCAR is now headed to it's fourth different track(including the Coliseum) and as they figure things out track time is going to be key. This is where the biggest change comes in as instead of the 15-minute group practices this week in Las Vegas, teams will all practice together in a 35-minute session before then breaking into two groups for single-car qualifying. Las Vegas Motor Speedway has been on the schedule since 1998 and adopted a second race back in 2018. The track is a 1.5-mile D-shaped oval with 20 degrees of progressive banking and 1st in my quality pass metric when looking at mile and a half tracks. Whether that continues with the new car remains to be seen but Fontana saw its second-most quality passes over the last 10 races there so I am positive we see a good race in Sin City. I have also put together a track position importance research tool for 2022 which pretty much looks at the correlation from starting position to finishing position. Las Vegas ranks #1 when looking at mile and a half tracks and #2 overall in terms of...

DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Thursday 3/3

Point Guard Dejounte Murray FD - $9600 DK - $10600 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 51.22 DK - 53.99 Let's get things started with a player who checks every single box and it starts with the matchup. The Spurs are arguably in the best spot of the night in a game with a monster total(238) facing a Kings team ranking 29th in defense and 6th in pace while also playing on a back-to-back on the road. For Murray, there have been a few less than stellar performances in the short term but he has still maintained an average of 54.6 DK/51.2 FD points per game since the start of February. All things considered, Murray is one of my top plays on the slate, especially on FanDuel where he remains in the sub $10K range. Ayo Dosunmu FD - $6300 DK - $5300 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 27.22 DK - 29.28 This Bulls/Hawks game is also very intriguing tonight in that it has the second-highest total(23.5) on the slate and is expected to stay relatively close with the Bulls opening as a six-point road favorite. My exposure to this game starts with Ayo who has seen his DK price drop to its lowest point since joining the starting lineup back in mid-January. Take out the dud vs. Memphis last Saturday and he is averaging 11.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.1 stocks per game going back to the start of Janaury. That is a nicely balanced attack and an average of 28.9 DK points per game which is more than acceptable at his current price. Lock and load on DraftKings. Keep an eye on Malachi Flynn(TOR) who has been terrific filling in for the injured Fred VanVleet over the last two games Shooting Guard Tyler Herro FD - $6400 DK - $6300 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 31.81 DK - 35.77 Joel mentioned it in yesterday's article and I am going to echo it again today. Tyler Herro is running away with the 6th man of the year award and what we love most about fantasy is that coming off the bench has helped keep his...

This week on the PGA Tour brings us two events with the Puerto Rico Open and Arnold Palmer Invitational but for this article, we will concentrate on the latter. I will have a sheet up for both events and you can access them on the Chris's Sheets page on the DFSR website. Let's dive into the API! The Course Bay Hill Club & Lodge Par 72 - 7,454 Yards Greens - Bermuda **Click the image above to see a hole by hole breakdown from PGATour.com** Previous Five Winners 2021 - Bryson DeChambeau(-11) 2020 - Tyrrell Hatton(-4) 2019 - Francesco Molinari(-12) 2018 - Rory McIlroy(-18) 2017 - Marc Leishman(-11) This week a loaded PGA Tour field heads to Bay Hill Club & Lodge for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The biggest news of the week was the Monday WD from defending champion Bryson DeChambeau who is dealing with a Saudi League conspiracy wrist injury. The good news is that we still get four of the Top 10 and 31 of the Top 50 players in the world including World #1 Jon Rahm making his debut at this event. The field will take on Bay Hill(Par 72 - 7,454 yards) which is one of the toughest tests on tour on ranking inside the Top 10 in terms of difficulty in four of the last five years. Much like last week, most of that difficulty comes from the water in play which forces a strong ball-striking effort if you are looking to make the cut and a near-elite one if you want to top the leaderboard come Sunday. Strokes Gained: Ball Striking is where the majority of my stats model will come from this week. Breaking it down further, I am leaning accuracy over distance off the tee and on the approach I am targeting long iron approach distances with a...

DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Monday 2/28

Point Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $9600 DK - $9600 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 48.71 DK - 51.22 The Thunder will be without Josh Giddey for the second straight game on Monday and that means another heavy workload for SGA. Despite turning the ball over seven times last game, he was en Fuego playing 38 minutes, shooting 13 for 24, and dropping one of his best fantasy performances(60.5 DK/61.1 FD) of the season. The price only ticked up slightly and he now gets an elite matchup against the Kings who rank 29th in defensive efficiency and 6th in pace. Fire up SGA in all formats tonight. Brandon Goodwin FD - $5300 DK - $5200 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 31.19 DK - 33.5 To say the Cavs are short guards tonight would be an understatement as all three of Garland, LeVert and Rondo are out. Goodwin has been the benefactor of getting more playing time and has put up double-digit shot attempts in back-to-back games and is set to get his second straight start after playing 38 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday. The shooting was nothing to get excited for(2-11 for 8 pts) but he did provide six assists and five rebounds to help him pay off. The price has gone up here but the PTS/$ floor is still high considering the opportunity and the matchup is decent as well as Minnesota ranks 17th in defensive efficiency and is a huge pace-up spot as they are also 6th in that area. Goodwin is a top value play on both sites. Shooting Guard Malcolm Brogdon FD - $5800 DK - $7100 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 34.77 DK - 37.67 Tyrese Haliburton FD - $9200 DK - $8600 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 40.42 DK - 42.72 The new-look Pacers have struggled to find wins(2-4) since the trade but are chock-full of fantasy production at the guard position so let's just list both here. Let's start with Brogdon who is having a very solid fantasy season thanks to a balanced effort. Before the Achilles injury in mid-December, he averaged 19.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and...
