After a wild opening weekend to the 2022 season, we now enter the first full week of the season and it starts with a full day of baseball. For this article, we will be looking solely at the seven-game main slate that locks at 6:40 pm ET on both sites. Let's get started. Pitchers Huascar Ynoa FD 8600 DK 8600 Opponent - WSH (Undecided) Park - WSH FD - 28.36 DK - 14.73 We are now five days into the season and that means teams are reaching the bottom of their rotations. On the main slate, it will be tough to pay up for Manoah against a stacked Yankees lineup so I will be taking a more balanced approach that starts with Ynoa. It feels like we have been waiting for a breakout for a while but he has plus stuff and had an xFIP(3.40) that was over a half a run better than his ERA94.05) over 17 starts last season. He also produced an above-average 27% K rate and faces a Nats team that is striking out over 30% of the time to start the season. Fire up Ynoa in all formats. Nick Martinez FD 5700 DK 5900 Opponent - SF (Alex Wood) Park - SF FD - 13.28 DK - 6.97 This slate is probably going to lead me to a similar strategy I have used almost every slate to start the season and that is to save at pitching and load up on bats. So far so good so let's keep it rolling on Monday. Martinez is sub $6K on both sites but I am really only interested on DraftKings as a cheap Sp2 to give me 4-5 innings and 12-15 DK points. Martinez hasn't pitched in the majors since 2017 and has been in Japan but has apparently picked up some velocity over the last couple of seasons and is a brand new pitcher. I am willing to find out at these prices against a Giants team that is Top 10 in K %(29%) early in the season while scoring just 10 runs through three games. Catcher/First Base Jared Walsh FD 3400 DK 4700 Opponent - MIA (Elieser Hernandez) Park - MIA FD - 12.36 DK - 9.32 Overall, it has been a rough start for the Angels' offense who have scored just 10 runs in their first four games but there have been some bright...

Pat Bev has missed two straight games and is questionable again tonight and that has me all over Russell who has been terrific in the short-term putting up 12 or more shots and dropping 35 or more DK points in three straight games. Both teams also rank Top 5 in pace so I expect a ton of points. Fire up Russell in all formats as a top guard on this slate. All kidding aside, the Nuggets are the only other team really playing for anything these last couple of days and it's hard to argue with a player who is getting around 35 minutes and double-digit shot attempts per game while sitting under $6K on both sites. More good news as he has been consistent down the stretch shooting around 47% and putting up over 30 DK points per game over his last seven games. I will have exposure in all formats. Tre Jones FD - $5800 DK - $5300 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 31.41 DK - 33.16 The Spurs have clinched a play-in berth and can really only move up to the #9 seed so they aren't really pushing DeJounte Murray back from injury as he will miss his fourth straight game on Thursday. He also gets a plus individual matchup here are Trae Young is a well below-average defender. For Levert, he is back on the fantasy radar as he stepped back into the starting lineup last Saturday and has been efficient. In three starts, he has put up at least 14 shots in each game and contributed in both the rebounds and assists categories and most of all has totaled 28 or more DK points in each of those games. Provided he is back in the starting lineup again tonight, he is on my radar in all formats. Russell Westbrook FD - $8000 DK - $8600 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 44.05 DK - 48.32 Malik Monk FD - $5800 DK - $5500 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 28.48 DK - 31.22 While this may seem a little insane as the Lakers are 12.5 point dogs tonight, it is hard to ignore the value with both Lebron and Davis out of the lineup. Let's start with Westbrook who has actually provided a consistent fantasy return down the stretch, pretty or not. Over his last six games(five on the road), he has put up 21.8 points on 52.5% shooting and added over eight rebounds and assists per game which ends up as an average of 43 FD/46.8 DK points per game.
