Game Stacks - Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers Justin Herbert FD 8600 DK 7800 Opponent LV Proj Points FD - 22.06 DK - 22.06 Keenan Allen FD 9500 DK 7900 Opponent LV Proj Points FD - 21.67 DK - 27.18 DaVante Adams FD 8100 DK 8000 Opponent LAC Proj Points FD - 20.52 DK - 25.02 A Chargers game-stack is quickly becoming one of the most popular stacks early in the DFS NFL season. The reason? To start, they head into week four ranked 3rd in passing offence and dead last in passing defence which is a recipe for high-scoring games and upside fantasy totals. Next, looking at this game specifically, both teams have a very high target share distribution to their top targets with Keenan Allen at 35% and now with no Mike Williams and Davante Adams for the Raiders at a whopping 41% on the season. Austin Ekeler is practicing in a limited fashion this week but likely won't be pushed at 100% even if he is back in the lineup so I am confident we will see another 35-40+ pass attempts from Justin Herbert this week against a Raiders defence that ranks dead last in fantasy points to both quarterbacks and wide receivers.  The price on Allen is way up on FanDuel but not nearly enough on DraftKings considering Williams being out and the terrific matchup. While running this stack back with Adams is my favourite option, I also like Jakobi Meyers. Game Stack - Los Angeles Chargers @ Minnesota Vikings Kirk Cousins FD 7800 DK 6900 Opponent LAC Proj Points FD - 22.29 DK - 22.29 Justin Jefferson FD 9700 DK 9300 Opponent LAC Proj Points FD - 22.58 DK - 27.42 Keenan Allen FD 8800 DK 7600 Opponent MIN Proj Points FD - 15.89 DK - 19.99 Pretty chalky starting with the highest total of the week but with so many different ways to stack each side, it is a perfect game for multi-entry GPP. It is a great recipe for points given both teams come in 0-2 and are hungry to get a win with both having Top 10 offences and below-average defences. I will be starting with one of the most expensive directions but given the shootout potential, I think it provides us with a high floor and ceiling and could be a lower-owned combo given that high price tag. Cousins is a quarterback fans love to hate but it's hard to deny the fantasy value. He comes into week three having thrown 44 passes in both games while tallying 344 and 364 yards with six touchdowns and just one pick. The volume alone has him as my top PTS/$ quarterback this week and slightly over Herbert due to the cheaper price tag. Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockensen have received the lion's share of that volume with 48% target share between them, 29% going to JJ who has put up 150+ yards in both games while also leading the league with 206 air yards. I will be running it back with Keenan Allen who has also been terrific sitting 9th in receiving yards and air yards through two weeks. If you are looking for a cheaper stack in this game consider Jordan Addison or T.J. Hockenson for the Vikings and Mike Williams for the Chargers. Not only has he won here in back-to-back years but he easily enters with the best form finishing off the season with four straight Top 10's and six straight Top 25 finishes. Considering a struggling Justin Thomas and two guys in Jaeger and Davis, who aren't exactly $10K material, are the only other two in the top tier, Homa is easily my top overall play this week. Brendon Todd World Golf Ranking (#59) Vegas Odds (35/1) DraftKings ($9,400) After the top group, I gravitate towards Todd who is ranked behind only Homa in my overall rankings this week. While his season ended on a low, losing 7.9 strokes putting at the BMW Championship, Todd was a consistent option in 2023 making six straight and 13 of his final 15 cuts including two Top 10s in July/August. He also returns to Silverado Resort with some nice course history with three finishes of 26th or better in four trips including a career-best T9 last year. Fire up Todd in all formats. Davis Thompson World Golf Ranking (#103) Vegas Odds (40/1) DraftKings ($7,900) A T9 here a year ago kickstarted Thompson's rookie season as he went on to make seven of his first eight cuts in 2023. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson FD 8900 DK 8000 Opponent HOU Proj Points FD - 27.87 DK - 27.87 Zay Flowers FD 5500 DK 4000 Opponent HOU Proj Points FD - 6.95 DK - 8.53 The Ravens enter week one as the biggest favourites on the slate in a terrific home matchup against the Texans who are projected to be a bottom 5-10 defense in 2023. The chalk play in this game is likely targeting the run game with Dobbins who is priced in the mid-tier going up against the league-worst rush defense a year ago. Lamar is likely to get some traction here as well as an elite rushing quarterback but if looking for an upside stack for GPP, I love pairing him with rookie Zay Flowers who has flashed that upside in pre-season. While it appeared he was buried on the depth chart, OBJ and Bateman are coming off surgeries, and leading receiver Mark Andrews has been held out of practice with an undisclosed issue. The price is cheap on Flowers allowing us to afford his QB and pair him one or two elite running backs and wide receivers. Chicago Bears Justin Fields FD 8300 DK 7700 Opponent GB Proj Points FD - 20.13 DK - 20.13 DJ Moore FD 6300 DK 6100 Opponent GB Proj Points FD - 9.22 DK - 11.42 While I expect Lamar and any Ravens pass catcher you stack with hi to be chalky in week one, the Bears and Justin Fields could come in low-owned making them one of my top GPP leverage stacks this week. First of all, we get to lock in a solid floor with Fields rushing ability as he not only led all quarterbacks in 2022 but was also 7th overall in rushing yards at any position. He has not only finished Top 10 five of six trips but won here at Olympia Fields back in 2020. It's tough to say where the ownership falls as he is third(DK) and fourth(FD) in pricing but has been the least consistent of the top 3, as well. Whether it be a major championship or playoff event Rahm shows up and has the same, if not more upside than any player in the field. He is my favourite overall play and pick to win this week! Viktor Hovland FedEx Cup Rank (#7) Vegas Odds (16/1) DraftKings ($10,300) FanDuel ($11,600) While it was a disappointing showing here at Olympia Fields back in 2020(T40), Hovland is a terrific course fit and one of my favourite plays on both sites this week. He isn't just Top 20 in every stat in my short-term model, he is 5th in SG: Tee to Green, 11th in Driving Distance, 12th in SG: Approach(5th in Prox 200+), 9th in SG: Around the Green(struggled here overall this season), and 2nd in Birdie or Better. Those stats reflect the elite consistency and he is also one of just three players in this field to make every cut this season(21/21).
