Adam Scott is the most recognizable name and likely gets the most attention but I will be turning to the top-ranked golfer in my model, Akshay Bhatia. He finished T17 here a year ago in his first trip and after a missed cut at the Fortinet this fall season, he has been very solid wiht four straight made cuts including a T21 at the Zozo Championship and T10 last week at the WWT Championship. He is also first in my long-term stats model highlighted by a ranking of 4th in ball striking, 7th in good drive %, 10th in proximity, and 2nd/1st/1st in par 4 scoring, par 5 scoring, and overall bridie or better %. Fire up Bhatia in all formats. Taylor Pendrith World Golf Ranking (#123) Vegas Odds (25/1) DraftKings ($9,100) FanDuel ($10,400) Pendrith is another golfer who kicked off the season with a missed cut at the Fortinet Championship but quickly turned it around. He has only played twice since but has finishes of T3 at the Shriners Open and T15 at the WWT Championship last week. He may be 30th in my long-term model on the sheet but in a smaller sample size(Last 12 rounds), he ranks 4th overall. While he could sit back, relax, and enjoy the lead into the holidays, I have a feeling he will be hunting birdies at max speed as he looks for his first career win on Tour. He enters with terrific form having not only finishing Top 30 in seven of his last eight events but also comes in off two straight Top 10's(Zozo, Shriners) in the fall season. Where I am not paying up for Aberg, I love starting my lineups with Hossler this week and will also be betting him outright. Luke List World Golf Ranking (#146) Vegas Odds (40/1) DraftKings ($9,000) FanDuel ($10,200) Not only has List been consistent for a long stretch where he has made seven of eight cuts dating back to May, he is in prime Luke List fall form with Top 25's in all three events including a win at the Sanderson Farms Championship. His game has been on point gaining 20.8 strokes gained tee to green over the last three events and he ranks 2nd in that category along with 10th in driving distance, 3rd in SG: around the green, and 1st in Birdie or Better. Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes FD 9200 DK 8300 Opponent LAC Proj Points FD - 25.68 DK - 25.68 Travis Kelce FD 8500 DK 8000 Opponent LAC Proj Points FD - 16.07 DK - 19.73 Both Mahomes and Kelce are the most expensive players at their respective positions making the rest of lineup construction tricky but it will be so hard to avoid at least some exposure. This game has the highest total(48) on the slate, the Chargers rank dead last in overall defence, 30th against the pass, and also rank 32nd and 23rd in fantasy points to the QB and TE position. Perfect timing as Mahomes is still searching for the big upside game despite being extremely consistent and Kelce is coming off his first 100+ yard game of the season. Look for the duo to go off and have a good shot at being in the optimal GPP-winning lineup. Value plays I like to make this stack work Zach Evans(RB-LARM) is near min price on both sites, is a three-point home favorite, and should get the majority of the touches with Kyren Williams out. On DraftKings, the Ravens defence is a near lock in this stack as they are just $2,500 while leading the league in sacks and sitting second in redzone conversion rate. Washington Redskins Sam Howell FD 7400 DK 5500 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 17.5 DK - 17.5 Terry McLaurin FD 7200 DK 5400 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 11.68 DK - 14.28 Curtis Samuel FD 6400 DK 4000 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 8.87 DK - 10.92 While the cost of a Commanders' stack is much lower, it is risky in its own way thanks to one of the lowest totals on the slate. For the most part, I think people will be looking for exposure to the Washington running back with the Giants ranking 31st in rush defence and 27th in fantasy points against the position. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson FD 8400 DK 7800 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 21.66 DK - 21.66 Zay Flowers FD 5900 DK 5500 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 12.84 DK - 15.54 Mark Andrews FD 7600 DK 5500 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 10.66 DK - 13.09 In our main picks article, Doug mentioned he liked Hurts slightly more than Mahomes in the top tier and I think the ownership rounds out that way, as well. With that said, I think there is a great opportunity to pivot to a lower-owned stack with similar upside. This game has the lowest total on the slate but the Steelers' defence has been pretty bad ranking 30th overall in yards per game, 26th against the run, and 29th against the pass. On top of that, they rank dead last in yards per completion(12.7) and 22nd in redzone defence. It all starts with Lamar who leads all QBs in rushing attempts per game(10.3) and rushing yards(220) and has hit a higher ceiling in fantasy points than both Hurts and Mahomes and has done it in back-to-back weeks. While Flowers has yet to score and have that breakout game, he has been consistent, catching 83% of his targets and also has a 42% target share in the redzone for the Ravens. The price is still very fairly price making him my favorite stacking option with Lamar. The final piece for me is Mark Andrews who is third in pricing among tight ends this week and has looked good since returning from injury scoring three touchdowns in two games. If he can get back to a heavy target share and high-yardage games, we likely haven't seen the ceiling yet. It's that foundation that led him to a very consistent second half of the season where he finished with 12 straight made cuts from May until August. He now returns to CC of Jackson with a nice track record making the cut in three of his last four attempts with finishes of T30, T26, and T14. Checking almost every box, Jaeger is easily one of my top plays this week. Sam Ryder World Golf Ranking (#112) Vegas Odds (50/1) DraftKings ($8,500) FanDuel ($10,400) While Ryder doesn't check all the boxes thanks to some sub-par course history, it is impossible to ignore his form coming in this time around. He finished T14 at the season-opening Fortinet Championship(ranked 3rd in SG: T2G), has made four straight cuts going back to the 3M Open and more importantly has gained four or more strokes on approach in five straight shotlink events. In keeping with the trend of improving his success here year over year, I look for Ryder to use his red-hot irons to carry him to a career-best finish and possibly contend for a win.
