Texas A&M vs. West Virginia coming at you 2pm EST. This one should be exciting to watch and really should have been the last game on docket. A&M has had a very tumultuous season. After putting the nation on notice with a dominating road win week 1 at SC, A&M went 6-5 the rest of the way and never showed what they showed that night. Kenny Hill was supposed make us all forget about Johnny Football and the only thing that has been forgotten is Kenny Hill. Kyle Allen replaced Hill and the roller coaster ride continued for the Aggies. Allen has some nice games and some real clunkers. Their success against an underrated WV defense will rest solely on the arm of Allen. WV runs a balanced offense with a fair amount of talent at the skilled positions. They are four deep at RB with Smallwood & Shell leading the way, but they butter the dinner rolls through the passing game. This is where it gets interesting. Trickett retired from football due to ongoing concussion issues and now the Mountaineers will turn to Skyler Howard. White & Alford are very talented receivers and A&M will likely struggle to stop them both. Fireworks alert. Players to Watch (A&M) Kyle Allen, ALL receivers (WV) Skyler Howard, Shell/Smallwood, White/Alford Fantasy Analysis Texas A&M stinks out loud against the run so the backs from WV could be in for a nice day. The issue is the workload. It appears the Mountaineers are locked in to a back by committee approach and that kills the fantasy value...

After a one day pause for some holiday or something we have football again. The Heart of Dallas Bowl will feature Illinois versus a feisty Louisiana Tech team. The best player on the field will be Tech’s underrated back, Kenneth Dixon. Dixon rushed for over 1200 yards and scored 26 touchdowns (5 receiving). All that should come in handy against Illinois’ 120th ranked rushing defense. Sokol has been admirable at quarterback throwing for 29 touchdowns compared to 13 interceptions. Tech doesn’t feature a slew of talented receivers, but Trent Taylor is dangerous enough to draw the defenses attention. Illinois has been slightly better on offense, but far from consistent. They have put together some nice offensive games and even though Josh Ferguson is a talent at running back, it has mostly been through the air. They could struggle against a reasonably tough Tech defense. Players to Watch (LaTech) Cody Sokol, Kenneth Dixon, Trent Taylor (Ill) Josh Ferguson, Mike Dudek Fantasy Analysis Dixon’s tag is high, but it stands to reason he can still hit value against a very suspect Illinois defense. The offense runs through him so his floor should be fairly set based on the expected volume and he is the surest bet to score a touchdown. Sokol makes a nice GPP play, but he is a little too inconsistent for your cash game needs. Trent Taylor is in play as well. I don’t really envision any Illini players making my lineups. I don’t think Ferguson will have a good game, but he is capable so feel free to...

This service is separate from our NFL and NBA projection systems.   Bahamas Bowl-Central Michigan vs. Western Kentucky Game Preview Wednesday opens with the inaugural Bahamas Bowl, because why not? Sometime a little after 12pm EST Central Michigan will take on Western Kentucky under the Caribbean sun. Good thing there won’t be any distractions because this game should be fun to watch. Western Kentucky runs a high octane offense capable of scoring points by the dozen (6th FBS Total Offense). They also give up points by the dozen (120th FBS Total Defense). The Hilltoppers offense is led by 6th year quarterback Brandon Dougherty and stud running back Leon Allen. Dougherty and Allen present a very difficult matchup for the Chippewas and they will surely be tested. Central Michigan ranks 18th against the run and 16th in overall defense so it won’t be a total cake walk for WKY. Thomas Rawls has been ruled out due to academics and that’s a significant blow for the Chippewa offense. The Michigan transfer ran for over 1100 yards and 10 touchdowns in just 9 games. Titus Davis can create matchup problems on the outside and should find some space against this porous secondary. Davis has now scored 8+ touchdowns in each of his four seasons and he will be needed again in order for CMU to keep up. Players to Watch: (WKY) Brandon Dougherty, Leon Allen, Everyone else (CMU) Cooper Rush, Titus Davis Fantasy Analysis: This game is the fantasy equivalent to the wife bringing me a sixer of talls (something cheap) with some beef jerky and taking the kids out, for the weekend. WKY can score on basically anyone, but they can’t stop anyone either. Dougherty and Allen are expensive, but easily worth the money. Dougherty is my top rated cash game quarterback on the...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for DraftKings Bowl Games December 22

Plan your half days now because football starts at 2pm when BYU takes on Memphis in the Miami Beach Bowl. This game would have been much more fun to watch had Tayson Hill not been lost for the season. BYU lost four straight before finishing the year with four consecutive wins. Christian Stewart has filled in nicely for Hill, but he is not the same kind of playmaker/rushing threat. BYU also lost Jamaal Williams at running back. Nevertheless the Cougars are a tough team and especially upfront on defensive side of the ball, as they rank 14th against the run. Memphis, on the other hand, will look to exploit the Cougars 104th ranked passing defense and they are certainly capable. The Tigers are led by sophomore quarterback, Paxton Lynch. Lynch had a strong year for the Tigers leading them to a 9-3 record (7-1 AAC). The Tigers play good team football and are very balanced. They run a balanced offense and rank 52 overall, which goes along with their 21st ranked defense. The Tigers are little underrated and I think they are going to give BYU everything it can handle. Players to Watch: (BYU) Christian Stewart, Paul Lasike, Jordan Leslie, Mitch Mathews (Mem) Paxton Lynch, Brandon Hayes Fantasy Analysis: Paxton Lynch is truly the catalyst of the Tiger offense and he should be able to finish strong against a very suspect pass defense. I don’t like the tag on Hayes facing such a strong run defense and will likely look elsewhere in cash games. As much as I like Lynch to have a strong game it doesn’t...

Sure, it’s a fine line to draw because there are so few punt options on short nights, but I’d rather spend for the higher floor than risk dollars on the ceiling. Mariota has been a nice tear lately, even for his price, coming in around 40 fantasy points over the past five weeks. Oregon has a ton of talent and speed on offense, but outside of Freeman, they don’t have anyone who dominates the touches. That translates to more touches for Mariota who averages almost ten carries and one rushing touchdown per game. Back in week 6 Oregon faced off against Zona and the perfect season was ruined. This week it’s about the Pac-12 Championship or revenge depending on how you look at it. Mariota, in what is likely his final game, will have the final say. Ducks roll. Drew Hare - FD 9300 DK 7700 If you’re not spending on Mariota you should look at Drew Hare. He is far from safe as his games have been all over the place, but the upside on such a short slate is worth the risk. One thing in this game that hasn’t been all over the place is Bowling Green’s defense; they consistently struggle. They currently rank 72nd against the pass and 96th...
