What We Know We've got a true split slate today, with seven early games and eight more tonight. That'll create plenty of opportunities for action and some sketchy weather situations only ramps up the intrigue. Two games on the early slate are in danger, with high chances of rain for the Giants-Reds and the Braves-Mets. That could wipe out one of the day's most tempting spot for hitters (San Fran at Cincy) and one of the best pitching matchups (Steven Matz vs. Atlanta's thump-less offense). It's a little clearer tonight, but there's a strong chance the Detroit-Cleveland game could be delayed or postponed, so keep an eye on that for the late slate. And if you're playing the all-day slate, it might be best to just avoid all three games. Personnel The Giants will be giving Matt Duffy and Buster Posey the day off, and Joe Panik is not quite ready to return. Their replacements (Connor Gillaspie, Trevor Brown and Kelby Tomlinson) aren't super interesting at the bottom of the order, but Brandon Crawford will move up to the five spot if you're feeling lucky enough to brave the weather risk. David Wright is getting the day off for the Mets. He'll be replaced by Wilmer Flores, who is hitting seventh. Billy Hamilton is out today after injuring his thumb last night. Tyler Holt is playing CF for the Reds and batting second. Zack Cozart is back at the top of the Reds order after missing a couple of days with a knee issue. Jason Heyward will sit for the third straight game as he deals with a wrist injury. Ben Zobrist will man RF, opening up a spot for 2B Tommy LaStella, who is hitting second for the Cubs. Mike Moustakas wasn't in the Royals starting lineup last night due to a thumb injury, but he did deliver a two-run, pinch-hit single. Alex Rodriguez exited Tuesday's game and will undergo an MRI on...

What We Know We've got a chance of rain in a few locations tonight, especially Baltimore and Chicago, so keep a close eye on the Yankees-Orioles and Red Sox-White Sox. But as of Tuesday morning, it looks like all 14 games on the main slate are in play. Personnel Twins 3B Trevor Plouffe has been activated from the DL and is expected to rejoin the Minnesota lineup tonight. Brewers OF Domingo Santana was a (really) late scratch from Monday's lineup due to shoulder tightness and his availability for tonight's game is still up in the air as of this morning. Alex Presley filled in at RF and hit leadoff last night. Keep an eye on Ryan Braun-related news today. Milwaukee manager Craig Counsel said the slugging 32-year-old was dealing with some soreness after Monday's game. You'd never know it from the results, as he went 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and a walk last night. An MRI revealed that Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco has a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder that will require surgery at some point. Mesoraco said Monday that he hasn't decided if he'll opt for the season-ending surgery or try to play through it, but he's on the DL for now. A's 2B Jed Lowrie was out of the lineup Monday night due to a calf injury, but did enter the game as a pinch hitter. As of Tuesday morning, there's been no update on his status for tonight. John Lamb could get the start on the mound for Cincinnati tonight, as Jon Moscot is dealing with a shoulder injury. Lamb, who was scratched from his scheduled Triple-A start on Monday, has strikeout upside but was hit pretty hard in 10 starts at the big-league level last season. Giants 2B Joe Panik is reportedly nearing a return from a groin injury. He was available to pinch hit Monday, but didn't get the call. Giants OF Angel...

If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know We've got a full schedule ahead of us, with one early game and a 14-game slate tonight. Unless you're just dying to get your hands on Jeff Samardzija, we'd recommend laying off the all-day slate, as we've got some uncertain weather situations that you'll likely want to monitor right up until 7 p.m. Eastern. At the top of the list is the Brewers at the Cubs, where Jake Arrieta is slated to take the hill and would be the top choice for cash games if the weather relents. But as of this morning that's very much in doubt. The forecast is calling for significant chances of rain into the night, so keep an eye on this one. Elsewhere, we've got iffy forecasts for Philadelphia at Washington and Cleveland at Minnesota. Personnel Yoenis Cespedes looked like he's ready for a return to the lineup, slapping a three-run pinch-hit homer Tuesday night against the Reds. He's been on the bench for the last four games due to a quad injury. After leaving Monday's game due to leg cramps, Matt Holliday was out of the Cardinals lineup Tuesday, but did fielding work before the game. He is considered day to day. Scooter Gennett was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to an oblique injury. There's been no update on his status as of Wednesday morning. Twins pitching prospect Jose Berrios is making his major league debut tonight against the Indians. The 21-year-old had 20 strikeouts and allowed two earned runs in 17 innings across three starts in Triple-A this season. Cardinals 2B Kolten Wong missed another game due to illness on Tuesday. With St. Louis facing lefty Patrick Corbin tonight, there's a decent chance he'll be on the bench again. Alex Rodriguez sat again on Tuesday with an oblique injury and is considered day to day. Russell Martin took Tuesday off as he continues to deal with neck stiffness. Early indications are that he may be out...

If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know The weather situation in Texas is looking pretty tenuous, with a high chance of rain throughout the evening, so be cautious with the Yankees bats. If the clouds clear, however, all those lefties could be in a nice spot against A.J. Griffin. Elsewhere, be sure to monitor the Reds/Mets and Pirates/Rockies, but as of this morning, it looks like they should be able to get both games in. Other than that, it looks like we're good to go with a full slate of Tuesday night baseball. Personnel Michael Brantley was activated off the DL yesterday and appeared as a pinch hitter last night. He should be back in the lineup tonight as the Indians face right-handed Ricky Nolasco. Russell Martin continues to sit with neck stiffness and it sounds like he may get another game of rest tonight. Travis d'Arnaud left last night's game with shoulder discomfort and could be headed for the DL. Kevin Plawecki took over behind the dish last night and would likely ascend to the Mets' No. 1 catcher spot if d'Arnaud is out. Matt Holliday left last night's game with what appeared to be a cramp. He was replaced by Jeremy Hazelbaker, who supplied a home run, a double and three RBIs. Brandon Phillips left last night's game after getting hit on the hand by a Noah Syndergaard heater. It looked pretty bad, but X-rays came back negative, so he's considered day-to-day as of Tuesday morning. Carl Crawford is expected to activated from the DL today, so it could be even tougher to project the Dodgers lineup going forward. Ian Kinsler was scratched from last night's lineup due to illness. There's been no update on his status for tonight's game as of Tuesday morning. Nick Hundley has been activated off the seven-day concussion DL. He was back in the lineup and hitting seventh last night. Yoenis Cespedes was out of the lineup for the third straight game Monday...

If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know We've got a true split slate ahead today with an intriguing mix of arms that run the spectrum from elite to the trash heap. It should make for a fun day of DFS. First the not-so-fun: Weather looms in Cleveland, threatening the Mariners/Indians game. The worst part is that the chances of rain are hovering in that no-man's land between 40 and 60 percent. Blah. Rain is also threatening the Angels and White Sox, which is really too bad. If you've got a strong gut and don't the risk, that game could be a fun one to target in tournaments with Jered Weaver and Jordan Danks on the mound. On the night slate, monitor the situation in the Cubs/Reds game, but other than that, we should be in the clear. Personnel The Dodgers are coming after Braves starter Matt Wisler with a heavy dose of left-handed hitting, topping the order with Chase Utley, Corey Seager, Adrian Gonzalez and Joc Pederson. Unfortunately, right-handed Justin Turner, who is solid in the reverse split, is taking a seat. Giancarlo Stanton is on the bench today as the Marlins take on Max Scherzer and the Nats. Jayson Werth left last night's game with hamstring tightness and will be taking today off. Xander Boegarts is back in the lineup for the Red Sox after exiting last night's game early. Tournament Stacks Houston Astros The only real hesitation here is the cost, but if you're plugging in a cheap arm in some of your tournament lineups, you should be able to fit in the top-of-the-order guys, and they've also got some cheap guys with pop at the bottom of the order on most nights (Evan Gattis, Luis Valbuena, Preston Tucker). Aside from the ballpark, which is extremely conducive to offense, we think you can pick on A.J. Griffin here. He's back in the bigs for the first time since 2013, and it's been longer than that since...
