What We Know Every MLB team is in action today, with an even split of seven early games, followed by an eight-game slate tonight. What's less evenly distributed, however, is the pitching. The aces on the schedule are all throwing early, which presents some interesting choices for both tournaments and cash games on each slate. Let's get to it. Personnel Bryce Harper is getting the day off. Chris Heisey is starting in RF and hitting seventh. Mike Moustakas remains out for the Royals. Cheslor Cuthbert is getting the start today and hitting seventh. Brian Dozier is back in the Twins lineup and hitting second today. Ian Kinsler is sitting again today due to an illness. Mike Aviles is playing second and hitting eighth, while Cameron Maybin will bat leadoff. Wil Myers is expected to miss today's game with a forearm issue. The Giants have placed Angel Pagan on the DL with a hamstring injury. Tournament Stacks Boston Red Sox We're getting to the point that stacking anybody other than the Red Sox is going to be considered a contrarian play. They're again slated for the highest total by Vegas (by a pretty good margin) after pounding out eight runs and 12 hits last night. Rockies starter Chad Bettis actually hasn't been bad this year, but this pick is really all about the continued magnificence of the Boston lineup. The Red Sox lead the league in wOBA by nearly .20 points and they're almost equally dangerous against lefties and righties. The top of the lineup is the chalk play, of course, and it's the safer bet. But with red-hot Jackie Bradley Jr. anchoring the bottom half, you can probably find differentiation with some exposure there. Tampa Bay Rays And now for something completely different. While the Red Sox are loaded with established and emerging stars, you'd never guess by scanning the roster that the Rays are actually one of MLB's best power-hitting teams this season. They're...

What We Know We've got a 14-game slate tonight, so unless you just insist on living dangerously, we think you can safely ignore the Rays and Marlins at 12:10 Eastern and gear up for an interesting night of DFS with no shortage of aces or high predicted totals. Personnel Christian Yelich remains out for the Marlins in today's game, sitting for the third straight day due to back spasms. Ichiro is again at the top of the lineup for Miami. The Rangers have placed Drew Stubbs on the DL with a toe injury and summoned Joey Gallo from Triple-A. Hunter Pence was on the bench again last night, but came in as a pinch hitter and delivered the game-winning hit. Keep an eye on his status before tonight's game; it appears he's nearing a return. Angel Pagan left last night's game early and will have an MRI to determine the severity of the injury to his hamstring. Odubel Herrera's early exit from last night's game was not injury related. Phillies manager Phil Mackanin told the press he yanked the young OF due to a lack of hustle. Jason Heyward missed his third straight game on Monday, but could return to the lineup during the current series with the Cardinals. Justin Upton was scratched from last night's lineup due to a quad issue. He was replaced by Steven Moya, and there's been no update on his availability for tonight as of Tuesday morning. A Sunday collision between Alex Gordon and Mike Moustakas sent Gordon to the DL and kept Moustakas out of Monday's game. Moustakas is expected to return to the lineup soon, however. Lucas Duda is going to be out for a while for the Mets after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his back. Eric Campbell got the start Monday, but the Mets could use a rotating cast of characters in Duda's absence. Tournament Stacks Boston Red Sox I wonder how much Jorge...

We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it! Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock today. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know We've got an interesting slate here, mostly because the two early games hold far more appealing offensive matchups than the nine night games combined. Luckily, we've got a couple of mediocre dudes taking the hill in Cincinnati tonight. The only drawback there is you can expect everybody to be all over the Indians and Reds after last night's home run derby. Let's get to it. Personnel Jonathan Lucroy and Ryan Braun are sitting today against the Cubs. It's a routine day off for the Brewers' backstop after 13 innings behind the plate last night, while Braun is still nursing a lower back issue. Alex Presley will get the start in left and hit second, while Martin Maldonado will catch and hit eighth. Matt Wieters will get the day off for the Orioles. Caleb Joseph is catching and hitting eighth. Jon Jay is expected to return to the Padres lineup tonight. Angels C Geovany Soto has been placed on the DL. Carlos Perez should serve as the primary catcher in his absence. Adrian Gonzalez sat again last night with a back issue. He's expected to return to the lineup tonight or tomorrow. Tournament Stacks Seattle Mariners If you're playing the early/all-day slates, you've got plenty of stacking options to choose from; you could make a strong case for either the Mariners, Orioles or the Cubs as the top offense of the day. Aside from the short porch in RF at Camden Yard, we're settling on Seattle because a) the Mariners are more affordable than the Cubs, and b) we'd rather pick on Tyler Wilson than Nate Karns. In 16 big-league appearances, Wilson is fanning an absurdly low 3.78 per 9 and owns a 4.75 xFIP. And then there's park. It's well-established that Camden Yard boosts left-handed power as much or more than every other stadium in the league, and looking down the Seattle order and seeing all those lefties is just too much to...
Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 5/19/16
Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/19/16 We've got a lopsided split slate ahead, with a pair of day games followed by a nine-game slate tonight. But what makes the day especially tricky is the number of juicy matchups in the early games (and the relative dearth of them later). -Austyn Varney @VarneyDFS Note - We have added an audio bit as well to this article, make sure to give it a listen and comment below any thoughts or suggestions! We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! PITCHER Chris Sale FD 12100 DK 13800 Opponent - HOU (McHugh) Park - @CHW FD - 43.13 DK - 24.41 Despite the presence of Sale and Stephen Strasburg, it's not a super great slate for sure-fire starting pitching. Some explanation is required here. Sale has been awesome, no doubt. Eight starts, eight wins, a respectable K rate, and typically solid peripherals. What's not to like? Well, despite the fact that the Astros have been a big, fat disappointment through six weeks this season, they're still pretty salty against lefties, ranking third in the AL in wRC+ in the split. And the ballpark doesn't help Sale's case, either. U.S. Cellular Field isn't widely known as a hitter's haven, but it ranked eighth in the majors for home run factors last season. That said, Sale is still one of the top arms in the game and well worth your consideration in all formats. The Astros strike out a ton, but given the right-handed pop in their lineup and Sale's high prices, the White Sox southpaw is more tournament play for us. Jeff Samardzija FD 9900 DK 11800 Opponent - SD (Shields) Park - @SD FD - 41.56 DK - 23.22 After a rough year in 2015, Samardzija appears to be regaining the form he flashed two years ago when he put up a a 2.99 ERA and 3.07 xFIP across 219...

What We Know We've got an eight-game slate with a bevy of talented arms taking the hill, which could make value opportunities (especially ones everybody else isn't on) tough to find. There's also no day baseball today, which is a bummer for those of us who can watch at work, but it also helps beef up the main slate on a relatively light day. Personnel Wilmer Flores has been placed on the DL with a hamstring strain. On the bright side, he won't have to face Clayton Kershaw tonight. Brandon Belt was held out of yesterday's lineup due to illness, but eventually entered the game and scored the winning run in the 13th inning. Really sad news here: Billy Hamilton will be out for a bit to be with his family after his 3-year-old nephew was killed in a car wreck. Thoughts, prayers, condolences. Whatever you've got, send them his way. He's expected to rejoin the team this weekend. Mark Teixeira has missed back-to-back games with neck spasms. He's considered day-to-day for now. Jacob Ellsbury also continues to sit for the Yankees due to a hip injury and could be out of the lineup again tonight. Domingo Santana returned to the Brewers starting lineup Wednesday. He's been in and out since a shoulder injury popped up last week, so keep an eye out for the Milwaukee lineup before plugging him in. Tournament Stacks Baltimore Orioles Our projection system makes no secret of its feelings for Tigers starter Mike Pelfrey. The two are natural enemies. Like a feral predator stalking a wounded gazelle, every time the system catches whiff of Pelfrey, it pounces and algorithmically tears him to shreds. Here's why: Pelfrey sucks. Sorry. I know that's harsh. For all I know, he's a super chill dude with a wide variety of interests and kind soul. But the projection system has no tolerance for human emotions. It deals in cold numbers and those numbers say Pelfrey sucks. In...
