It's Wednesday, and that means a split slate. Today we've got five early games, followed by a 10-game slate tonight, and both come with plenty of interesting possibilities for both cash games and tourneys. Let's get to it. Personnel Carlos Correa is back in the lineup today after an early exit due to illness last night. Yulieski Gurriel is sitting again. He hasn't played since leaving his MLB debut with a hamstring issue on Sunday. Andrew McCutchen is taking a seat today. Matt Joyce will get another start and is hitting second, to the delight of bargain-hunting DFSers every where. Chase Utley is day-to-day with a foot issue. He left last night's game after entering as a pinch hitter. Charlie Blackmon returned to the Rockies lineup last night after missing the previous four games with a toe issue. Josh Reddick was out of the starting lineup again last night as he continues to deal with a finger issue, but did enter the game as a pinch hitter. Yasmany Tomas was removed from last night's game due to a back issue. He's considered day-to-day for now. Marcell Ozuna left last night's game early to deal with a family emergency. Stay tuned. Marcus Semien has been placed on the paternity list and is expected to be out until Friday. DJ Lemahieu was scratched from last night's lineup due to a wrist issue and is considered day-to-day. The Blue Jays are hopeful that Devon Travis will be able to return to the lineup today after missing last night's game with a finger issue. Derek Dietrich has been placed on the DL with a knee injury. Tournament Stacks Chicago Cubs Petco, Schmetco. The algorithm can't get enough Cubs today. Like, literally. Especially on FanDuel where their prices aren't prohibitive, if the four-man cap were removed, I wouldn't be stunned to see the projection system roll out everybody in the order. What does that say about...

We've got a 15-gamer on tap tonight, so let's dig in. Personnel Yulieski Gurriel is expected to be back in the Astros' lineup tonight after exiting his debut due to a hamstring issue and appearing as a pinch hitter last night. Charlie Blackmon came in as a pinch hitter last night and could be nearing a return after missing four games with a toe injury. Danny Valencia is expected to be back in the starting lineup tonight. He sat two games following a reported clubhouse skirmish with Billy Butler. Butler, meanwhile, has been placed on the 7-day concussion DL. Arismendy Alcantara has been recalled to fill his roster spot. Marcus Semien sat last night as is expected to be placed on the paternity list soon. Jabari Blash has been placed on the DL with a finger injury. Jace Peterson was scratched last night due to soreness, but could return tonight. Josh Reddick missed last night's game with a finger issue and is considered day-to-day. Zack Cozart is expected to miss another game as he continues to deal with knee and heel issues. Tournament Stacks Baltimore Orioles One of the interesting quirks of tonight's slate is that we've got five pitchers who we don't have much of a track record for, and they account for four of the five of the highest implied run totals on the board tonight. While we haven't seen a ton of Reynaldo Lopez, both our projection system and Vegas aren't terribly worried about the fact that his last two outings were pretty good. Maybe because those outings were against the Braves, who remain bad at hitting baseballs. Nonetheless, we'll admit this is a boom-or-bust kind of pick, which always seems to be the case with Baltimore. Lopez has swing-and-miss stuff, and the Orioles strike out a fair amount against RHP. But they also lead baseball in ISO in the split, so the elite upside is...

What We Know As often happens, a split slate is leaving us with a weird dichotomy today. Where as three of the four lineups in the early games are in great spots and the top pitching option is obvious, the right plays could be a little tougher to pin down tonight. Let's get to it. Personnel Dexter Fowler is sitting today and will be replaced at the top of the Cubs order by Matt Szczur. The Red Sox lineup is getting a shakeup for the early game. Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz are sitting, while Aaron Hill is batting leadoff. Also of note: Hanley Ramirez has been activated off the bereavement list and is back at 1B and hitting cleanup. Justin Upton is getting the day off for the Tigers. Alex Presley will be in LF and hitting ninth. Asdrubal Cabrera is expected to be activated from the DL and back in the Mets lineup tonight. Neil Walker is hoping to play tonight as well after missing the last two games due to a back issue. Billy Hamilton made an appearance as a pinch hitter last night and should be back in the starting lineup for tonight's game. Joe Mauer was scratched from last night's lineup due to quad issue, but could be back tonight. Geovanny Soto is back on the DL with a knee issue. Carlos Perez has been recalled to fill his roster spot. Adam Duvall missed last night's game and was reportedly wearing a walking boot. He isn't expected to require a DL stint, but it would be a surprise to see his name in the lineup tonight. Miguel Sano sat for the third straight game last night with an elbow issue, but there's a chance he could return as a DH tonight as the Twins return to AL play. A.J. Pierzynski has been placed on the DL, while Tyler Flowers has been activated for the Braves. Tournament Stacks Chicago Cubs As expected, it looks like...

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! PITCHER Jose Fernandez FD 11000 DK 11900 Opponent - CIN (Straily) Park - @CIN FD - 38.63 DK - 25.26 Yeah, the park isn't the best for pitchers, and if you want to pay up for Madison Bumgarner, you probably won't be alone. But given the win probability and Fernandez's elite upside, he's our top choice when it comes to value on elite pitching tonight. He leads baseball (by a lot) with nearly 13 Ks/9 innings, and he's second only to Clayton Kershaw in xFIP. Meanwhile, the Reds limp in ranked 22nd in wOBA and 19th in ISO against righties, despite playing half their game in one of the most homer-happy parks in MLB. Also consider that now-departed Jay Bruce lifted those numbers and Adam Duvall is expected to miss at least another game with a foot injury, and you've got a lineup ripe for the picking. Archie Bradley FD 6300 DK 6500 Opponent - SD (Clemens) Park - @SD FD - 30.53 DK - 20.06 If you'd rather spend big on bats, we suggest crossing your fingers and plugging in Bradley. First the positives: Bradley is a former early first-round pick, and through he's not considered the uber-prospect he once was, he's a talented young arm. He's flirting with a K per inning in his first full year in the bigs, and the Padres will elevate that upside, striking out more against RHP than every team in the bigs outside of Milwaukee. That's about it for the good stuff, but at these prices,...

What We Know It's Wednesday, and as usual, that means a split slate in DFS Land. We've got five games on tap today, with 10 more tonight. Both slates have nice hitter's parks and intriguing options at pitcher. Let's get to it. Personnel Brett Gardner is back in the Yankees lineup today after missing four starts due to an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Jacoby Ellsbury is getting the day off. Aaron Hicks will man CF and hit ninth. Logan Forsythe is sitting again after he was a late scratch last night due to a back issue. Nick Franklin is starting at 2B and is back at the top of the lineup. Matt Duffy is out today after leaving last night's game due to a sore Achilles. Tim Beckham is at SS and hitting eighth in his place. Ryan Braun limped off last night after sliding into the wall at Wrigley. He's dealing with knee and ankle injuries as a result and should be considered day-to-day at best. Andrelton Simmons was scratched from last night's lineup due to a personal matter. Geovanny Soto was also a late scratch last night because Mike Scioscia is out to get me with a knee issue. He was replaced by Jett Bandy, who homered, and who would've been a really great play against the lefty in the first place. Aaron Hill was a late scratch last night due to a forearm issue and is considered day-to-day. Late scratches were matched last night only by pitchers leaving early due to weather/injury and catchers going yard. Neil Walker was yet another guy removed at the last minute. His issue is lower back stiffness, and he's considered day-to-day, too. Miguel Sano missed another game last night due to an elbow issue (but at least we knew that before lineup lock). His status for tonight is undetermined as of this morning. Miguel Cabrera missed last night's game after being removed Monday due to a biceps issue. The injury isn't considered serious and he...
