Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Division Series Round - 10/6/16 The Wild Card games are an awful lot of fun, but the MLB playoffs get underway in earnest today. Unfortunately, we're getting eased into the divisional round with just two games. On the bright side, that's enough to give us a DFS slate, and beggars (guilty) can't be choosers. In case you didn’t notice, we just released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season. SIGN UP NOW! Toronto Blue Jays at Texas Rangers Pitchers Cole Hamels FD 9900 DK 10500 Opponent - TOR (Estrada) Park - @TEX FD - 31.59 DK - 20.86 Here's the thing about the playoffs: there's no clear lineup to pick on. That's especially true tonight in the ALDS, as both parks are pretty hitter-friendly. I never thought I'd miss the Phillies as much as I do right now. What we've got today is one pair of second(ish)-tier arm and one pair of middle-class guys. Unsurprisingly, we like the expensive guys more for raw points, but from a value perspective, Hamels is actually the low man of the quartet. Part of that is due to the aforementioned park factors, as Globe Life Park is one of baseball's best hitting venues. Perhaps even more daunting is the sheer volume of right-handed thumpers in the Toronto lineup. Even though they underperformed relative to expectations and track record vs. southpaws this season, this is a tough order to navigate. Marco Estrada FD 7800 DK 8600 Opponent - TEX (Hamels) Park - @TEX FD - 26.42 DK - 17.72 Among the cheaper guys, Estrada gets the slight edge over Trevor Bauer, but if you're playing cash games, we think you're probably better off just paying up for Porcello. Estrada is an extreme fly-ball guy, and the advanced stats say he shouldn't consistently gets the results he does. But that's kind of his thing. He's made his career on keeping fly balls in the park more often than he should, and that's a big reason why his ERA this season (3.48) was again well below his xFIP (4.64) this year. He also boosted his Ks in 2016, finishing with 8.48 per 9, which helps make up for the fact that he gave up considerably more walks. The Rangers haven't fully lived up to the sum of the lineup's parts, even after the trading deadline boost. But...

Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 9/29/16

Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 9/29/16 We're hitting the home stretch in earnest now, but there's still meaningful baseball to be played and that includes a hearty 10-game slate tonight, as well as a pair of early games. Read on as we break it all down position-by-position. You can grab a Test out. SIGN UP NOW!     PITCHER Johnny Cueto FD 9900 DK 11200 Opponent - COL (Gray) Park - @SF FD - 39.16 DK - 25.95 Tonight's pitching slate skews toward the upper-middle class of arms. A few good ones, some interesting upside guys, but no lock-and-load stud. With due respect for Danny Duffy's work in 2016, Cueto is probably the closest thing we've got to an established ace, and with a home game tonight, he's our clear choice for cash games. If you've been paying attention, you're probably aware by now that no place in baseball has been friendlier to pitchers over the last three years than AT&T Park. Cueto has taken full advantage in his first full season in San Fran's comfy confines, yielding a wOBA of just .259 at home in 2016. And while the Rockies have some considerable punch in their lineup, away from Coors Field, they're a below average offense, ranking 16th in wRC+ (which is adjusted for park factors) against RHP. Julio Urias FD 7500 DK 8700 Opponent - SD (Friedrich) Park - @SD FD - 34.45 DK - 22.43 Ugh. I'm gonna be honest, I don't feel great about this one. Not because Urias isn't good; he is, and he might be really, really good. But the innings, man. I just don't know about the usage. The Dodgers are bringing the 20-year-old along slowly, which is wise, but when his command gets a little loose, it means he may not be getting out of the fifth inning. That lowers his floor and his ceiling to some degree, because shortened outings decrease the chances of picking up the win, and if you're playing on FanDuel, getting the win is crucial. All that to say, this is a tournament-only play. But in that format, it makes sense to take a flyer on the young lefty. He's shown glimpses of matching the hype, with 79 Ks and a 3.75 xFIP in 74 innings this season....

Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock today. By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the batting lineup changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. What We Know Personnel Alex Bregman is back in the lineup for the first time in two weeks. He'll be hitting second and playing 3B. Last night, he got his first at-bat since injuring his hamstring and responded with an RBI pinch-hit single. Adrian Gonzalez left last night's game due to illness and should be considered day-to-day. Brandon Phillips was removed from last night's game after sustaining a hand injury. Consider him day-to-day until further notice. Starling Marte might be done for the season as back tightness continues to give the Pirates outfielder problems. Eduardo Nunez was out last night after injuring his hamstring on Sunday. He's expected to return soon, but another day of rest wouldn't come as a surprise. Albert Pujols sat last night due to a foot issue. Consider him day-to-day down the stretch. Ryan Braun missed last night's game with wrist soreness, but is expected to return to the lineup tonight. Kolten Wong was out last night with a shoulder issue, but could return as early as tonight. Nick Castellanos was activated from the DL yesterday and is expected to return to the starting lineup tonight. We're proud to introduce a brand new partner (and player in this space), Fantasy Factor! DFSR readers can get a bunch of sweet freebies (including a $5, no strings, no drip bonus) by signing up now! Tournament Stacks Texas Rangers We haven't gotten quite as much offense as we've been hoping for out of the Rangers this week, but our projection system (and Vegas) remains bullish on the Texas bats. Tonight they get Chase Anderson, owner of a 4.71 xFIP and 1.66 HRs/9. Those numbers make him one of the juiciest targets on the slate before you even consider the fact that Globe Life Park is arguably the best hitter's park available tonight. The Rangers lineup has had its share of ups and downs this season, even after adding Carlos Beltran and Jonathan Lucroy at the trading...

What We Know Personnel Wilson Ramos could miss some time after injuring his knee last night. He's due for an MRI today, and regardless of the results, it would be a big surprise to see him in tonight's lineup. Aledmys Diaz has left the Cardinals to be with the family of Jose Fernandez, a childhood friend, in Miami. There's been no word on when he's expected to return to the team. Matt Carpenter missed last night's game with a finger issue. He should be considered day-to-day, but don't be surprised if he's back tonight, as the Cardinals are fighting for a playoff spot. X-rays on Bryce Harper's injured thumb came back negative, and the Nationals have indicated they don't believe the injury is serious. But with the NL East already clinched, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the ailing superstar get another night off. Gregory Polanco was out again last night. He hasn't played since suffering a facial injury when he slammed into the outfield wall Friday, and should be considered day-to-day for now. Starling Marte was also out last night as his back issues continue to linger. He's day-to-day until further notice. Kevin Kiermaier missed last night's game with a hand issue, but could return tonight. Starlin Castro made his first appearance in more than a week last night, entering as a pinch hitter. He could be getting close to a return to the starting lineup. We're proud to introduce a brand new partner (and player in this space), Fantasy Factor! DFSR readers can get a bunch of sweet freebies (including a $5, no strings, no drip bonus) by signing up now! Tournament Stacks Texas Rangers We've basically got three really good hitting environments to choose from tonight, and if you're looking for raw upside, the Blue Jays at home and the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium are good places to turn (especially the latter). But we think it'd be wise to pay up for one...

If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know Personnel Starling Marte made an appearance for the first time in nearly three weeks last night, striking out as a pinch hitter. He's been sitting with a bad back, but could be close to return to the starting lineup. The Red Sox said rookie Andrew Benitendi will be starting and could be elevated in today's batting order. Other than a stint on the DL, he's been producing well (.373 wOBA) ever since getting called up last month. Hanley Ramirez sat last night to deal with lingering shoulder and foot issues, but is expected to return to the lineup tonight. Victor Martinez was out for the second consecutive game last night with a knee issue, while Ian Kinsler missed another start due to a concussion. Consider both day-to-day. Brandon Crawford missed last night's game after injuring a finger on Tuesday. He's considered day-to-day. Miguel Sano was out again last night due to a back ailment, but was reportedly available for pinch-hitting duty. He could be back in the lineup as early as tonight. Wilmer Flores is expected to miss tonight's game with a wrist injury. He's been out for nearly two weeks now, and his return date remains unclear. Tyler Goeddel was removed from last night's game after getting hit with a pitch in the head. Consider him day-to-day until further notice. We're proud to introduce a brand new partner (and player in this space), Fantasy Factor! DFSR readers can get a bunch of sweet freebies (including a $5, no strings, no drip bonus) by signing up now! Tournament Stacks Houston Astros There's no obvious chalk for team offenses today, but there are quite a few in decent spots. That should make tournaments interesting, because even on a shorter slate, I doubt we'll extremely high ownership on one team. We're leaning toward the Astros as our top choice, and we like them best on DraftKings, where the top two guys in the lineup (George Springer...
