We've got you completely covered.   Pitcher Clayton Kershaw FD 12700 DK 14000 Opponent - CHW (Gonzalez) Park - @CHW FD - 44.6 DK - 25.34 We've got Kershaw and Coors Field on the same slate, and that always presents a bit of a conundrum for GPPs. But in cash games, we think the choice is pretty clear. There's only one true ace on this slate, and he just happens to be the best pitcher in the game over the past several seasons. There isn't much we can tell you about CK you don't already know. He's among the league leaders in ERA (2nd), FIP (4th), xFIP (3rd) and Ks/9 (6th) in 2017. Now consider the fact that those are his "worst" numbers since 2012 and you get a sense of how dominant this guy has been. The White Sox are a tough matchup for most lefties, ranking fourth in wRC+ and wOBA vs. LHP, and on a different slate, that might give us the least bit of pause. Not tonight. Robbie Ray and Brad Peacock are the only other usable guys for cash game purposes, and they come with their own risks. Just lock in Kershaw and then start looking for value bats. Brad Peacock FD 9200 DK 10300 Opponent - SEA (Gaviglio) Park - @HOU FD - 29.58 DK - 15.03 If you must look elsewhere (don't), we think Peacock is your best bet. He'll have to tangle with a tough Mariners lineup (6th in wRC+ vs. RHP), so it won't be easy, but there's upside here. Peacock is putting up a blistering 12.26 Ks/9 this season, and that number has somehow improved slightly since he moved into the rotation. He's also completed six full innings his last two times out, so the worries about a shortened outing have been alleviated -- kind of. He's still walking tons of guys, which runs up the pitch count and cuts into his win/quality start probability. Like we said earlier, everybody's got risks, and Peacock's outweigh Kershaw's in our view. But if you're looking for a way to fit in a couple of bigger bats, Peacock is our top choice. Catcher Brian McCann FD 2900 DK 3600 Opponent - SEA (Gaviglio) Park - @HOU FD - 11.72 DK - 8.8 Before...

We've got you completely covered.   TEXAS RANGERS The Orioles are actually favored in this game, and if Andrew Cashner's impending regression comes all at once, this one could turn into an offensive free-for-all. It's going to be a warm night in Baltimore with a breeze drifting out toward left, so both sides are definitely in play. We're siding with the Rangers based on the preponderance of left-handed bats who can take advantage of the short porch in right, as well as the copious generosity of Orioles starter Chris Tillman. He's been one of the worst regular starters in baseball this season with a 7.90 ERA, a 6.24 FIP and a .440 wOBA allowed vs. lefties. You couldn't ask for a softer matchup. Choo, Mazara, Odor and Gallo all look like nice pieces, but don't feel like you have to fade the righties. Tillman's giving up a .410 wOBA against them, so there's no need to skip Andrus, Beltre or pretty much anybody else who makes the starting lineup. CHICAGO CUBS No word on whether it required Jason Heyward to call another players-only pow-wow, but apparently the Cubs decided over the All-Star break that it was time to stop sucking. They scored 27 runs in the three-game set over the weekend at Baltimore, and sure, that could be a fleeting glimpse of the offense they were expected to be, but based on the talent in this lineup, it wouldn't surprise anybody if it was the beginning of a second-half resurgence. But narrative aside, there's plenty to like in this matchup. Even when he's been good, Julio Teheran is notorious for his struggles with lefties (career .343 wOBA allowed), a problem that's been exacerbated by the move into SunTrust Park, which appears to favor left-handed power. He's only faced 112 batters in the new digs, so the sample isn't as large as we'd like, but 3.5 HRs/9 is eye-popping. We just can't ignore that. So, yeah, dial up Anthony Rizzo, and any other lefty who gets the call, and, of course, Kris Bryant is rarely somebody you're going to want to leave out of your...

We've got you completely covered.   Pitchers German Marquez FD 6200 DK 7600 Opponent - SD (Perdomo) Park - @COL FD - 25.94 DK - 17.44 If you've taken a even a cursory glance at the starting pitcher options for tonight, this pick only confirms what your already know: this slate is garbage. Even though the Rockies have cobbled together a solid staff and Marquez looks like a decent prospect, it's never fun to roster a pitcher in Coors Field and it's something we rarely recommend. But the combination of the Padres bats and this wretched pitching slate means we're willing to take a shot on Marquez, and hopefully get him at low ownership and solid prices. Marquez's numbers won't blow your mind (3.94 FIP, 7.9 Ks/9), but against the Padres, that'll play. San Diego has been one of the worst offenses in baseball this season, ranking 27th in wRC+ and 29th in wOBA vs. RHP. And that's with Hunter Renfroe in the lineup. With one of their only dangerous bats DL'd, there's just not much here to fear. Could they exploit the mile-high atmosphere and throw up a parade of crooked numbers? Sure. It's Coors. There are no rules. But they also have the highest K% in baseball vs. righties, so we see at least equal boom/bust likelihood for Marquez -- and even if the most likely outcome is somewhere in between, at least he's not costing you much. Chad Kuhl FD 6700 DK 5600 Opponent - MIL (Suter) Park - @PIT FD - 26.28 DK - 17.45 And you thought the Marquez pick was gross. Chad Kuhl definitely comes with substantial risks, and though I'll admit to being a little skittish, the projection system really likes him -- at least from a value standpoint -- especially at his DK price. So, let's investigate. Kuhl has shown modest improvements lately, but even so, there's not a lot to be excited about in his 3.75 ERA/4.31 FIP and 7.3 Ks/9 over his last 10 starts. Really, his solid projections for tonight start with the opponent. The Brewers have been a below-average offense vs. RHP this season (97...

We've got you completely covered.   DETROIT TIGERS Like we talked about in the cash game picks, Matt Cain is just begging to be picked on every time he steps out of San Francisco. He relies on fly-ball outs, and without the cushion of AT&T Park, he gets hammered. Since the beginning of 2016, he's got a 7.20 ERA, 6.02 FIP and 5.69 xFIP with a .395 wOBA allowed on the road. The Tigers haven't been great against righties this season, but they're easily equipped to do some damage here. Despite the mediocre team numbers vs. RHP, they have plenty of individual pieces doing good work. Alex Avila, Justin Upton and J.D. Martinez all have wOBAs over .340 and ISOs over .240 vs. righties this season, and assuming Upton is back in the lineup, they'll form a nice core occupying the 2-4 slots of the order. Ian Kinsler is also in play and Miguel Cabrera and Nick Castellanos deserve strong consideration. Both are among the league leaders in xwOBA - wOBA disparity. COLORADO ROCKIES To play these guys you're gonna have to fade Kluber and Kershaw, which sucks, but considering the massive implied total the Rockies are getting against Homer Bailey tonight, the upside is worth some exposure. Due to ongoing injury issues, we haven't seen much of Bailey over the last couple of seasons, but what we've seen has been bad. He's been blown up for 14 runs in just 4.2 IP in his two starts since coming off the DL, and while we don't want to put too much stock into a couple of bad outings, Coors Field isn't a great place for a rusty, struggling pitcher to suddenly find his footing. The Rockies are putting up a .352 wOBA and .200 team ISO at home against righties this season, led by some ridiculous numbers from Charlie Blackmon (.513 wOBA, .439 ISO), Mark Reynolds (.452/.344) and Nolan Arenado (.395/.285). Those guys are your chalk, but everybody in the lineup is in play. Try out InGame Fantasy for a totally new DFS experience. Promo code: DFSR MILWAUKEE BREWERS Miller Park can boost HRs with...

We've got you completely covered.   Pitchers Jimmy Nelson FD 9100 DK Opponent - BAL (Jimenez) Park - @MIL FD - 28.85 DK - 0 Nelson may not be the safest play on the board, but safety isn't what we're after in GPPs. We need big scores, high ceiling, upside. Nelson's got all that, and he could come with the bonus of low ownership thanks to Archer, Lester and possibly Michael Fulmer diverting attention. Though he's flown somewhat under the radar this season -- presumably because he's Jimmy Nelson and we've all been burned by him before -- he's actually been really good. He's fanning better than a batter per inning on the year and has double-digit Ks in four of his last seven games. Also, his 3.43 ERA his backed up by a 3.38 xFIP, and while that hat might not sound like ace caliber, it's actually the ninth-best xFIP in baseball among qualified starters this season. Like I said, really good. Of course, he'll have to tangle with a (theoretically) dangerous Orioles lineup in homer-friendly park, so it's not an ideal matchup, but the risks are acceptable. The Orioles have some established thumpers, but most aren't not living up to their reputations in 2017. In fact, Trey Mancini and Jonathan Schoop are the only guys in the lineup with a wOBA over .330 or an ISO over .200 against righties this season. As a team they rank 20th vs. RHP in wRC+ and have a healthy 22.8% K rate, so we're not gonna be afraid to roll out some Nelson lineups today. Brad Peacock FD 8000 DK Opponent - ATL (Newcomb) Park - @ATL FD - 28.37 DK - 0 We've got a pretty high ratio of good arms on the late slate, but we're not touching Price or Darvish in Arlington, so if we're pivoting off of Kluber and Kershaw, Peacock is the first place we're turning. Just about the only thing holding him back right now is the fact that he doesn't work deep into games -- or at least he hasn't yet. He has just one game with six full innings to...
