There's been no shortage of surprises in 2017 MLB season, but Brad Peacock's emergence has a stud starting pitcher has got to be up there with the most unexpected of all of them. Granted, we're still only talking about a brief run in the grand scheme of things. He's only made 10 starts on the year and the first few of those were pretty choppy. But over his last six, this is a guy with 45 Ks in 34.1 IP, 0 home runs and a 1.83 ERA. He's due for some regression -- he can't keep having this success if he's walking 5 per 9 IP, and eventually somebody is going to take him deep -- but even so, there's plenty of reason to believe he'll be able to keep the dominance going tonight. The Phillies rank 28th in wRC+ vs. RHP, with the sixth-highest K% in the split (23.5%). They're pretty good at working counts, and that can be problematic for Peacock if he's struggling to hit his spots. But it's an acceptable risk for a guy with as much upside as any pitcher on the slate.

Compared to other other high-priced arms on tonight's slate, Greinke will likely come in at least a little under the radar. Like we wrote about in the cash game picks, deGrom is looking like the top play for those inclined to spend big at SP, and Brad Peacock's K uspide is going to be tough to pass up -- especially since he's coming in cheaper than Greinke -- all of which makes perfect sense. But our projections are really high on Greinke, and any time there's a chance you can get a pitcher of this caliber at low ownership rates, he's worth some consideration. The Braves have some respectable bats, but if Greinke can work his way around Freeman, Kemp and Matt Adams, there's not much else that qualifies as intimidating -- even in a hitter-friendly park like Chase Field. Other than the aforementioned trio, Tyler Flowers is the only guy on the team with a wOBA over .340 vs. righties. That's not to say the rest of the lineup is full of pushovers, but let's not forget how good Greinke has been this year. He's putting up some of the best numbers of his career in Ks/9 (9.94), BBs/9 (1.9) and xFIP (3.23) and has somehow been at his best at home (11.28 Ks/9, 2.90 xFIP, .245 wOBA).
