Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 12/29

It's College Bowl Season and we will bring picks, plays and lineups for every slate during this most wonderful time of the year. This time around it's the Tuesday 12/29 Slate.

And be sure to check out our lineups and picks for the FanDuel Championship Week slate.

We're also selling lineups for every CFB slate. This week they include 2 FanDuel and 2 DraftKings lineups. They are $5 and are separate from our membership subscription. This season of our 70% of our FanDuel lineups have moneyed in cash games, and one won the FanDuel Redshirt tournament. Meanwhile 60% of our DraftKings lineups have hit in cash games. Don't miss out.

    Quarterback

    Marquis Williams
Williams has all the tools of a fantasy darling, but the consistency of a snowflake as no two games are ever alike. Given the short slate and general suckiness at receiver I am more than willing to dump a bunch of a salary on Williams. He has everything you look for to start your cash lineups. He can run or throw, his team is a favorite, and there are quite a few points expected. That said, Williams has been up and down all year. One week he drops 40pts only to follow it up with a 17pt soul crusher. Baylor runs an extremely up tempo offense and even with all their stars out with injury are still only 3pt dogs. The game total is pushing 70 and by looking at some of the games these two teams played you can see why. North Carolina is every bit deserving of their #10 ranking and I think they will handle business against a depleted Baylor Bears team and be led from the front by Williams.

    Running Back

    Leonard Fournette
Speaking of spending money, Fournette’s salary is back at peak levels. Fournette fizzled a bit down the stretch dashing his hopes of the Heisman. Some of his struggles, and I use that term loosely, can be attributed to his team just not being all that explosive on offense. Fournette basically is their offense so when they got into the thick of their SEC schedule LSU simply didn’t put the points on the board. Texas Tech is a quality team, but their not Bama or Ole Miss and LSU should have a much easier time making things happen when they have the ball. What I mean by that is Leonard is going to run wild. Tech hasn’t stopped anyone all year and it’s certainly not going to start when they face one of the best backs in the country. His cost is high, but I think he is worth every dollar.

    Wide Receiver

    Bryce Treggs
Receiver is a bruuuuutal. There is basically no chance I pay up for Grant in cash games, but man who else is there to pick. Treggs was essentially invisible the first half of the season as Kenny Lawler stole the show. Treggs had a resurgence down the stretch and seems to have a good thing going with Jared Goff at the moment. Considering how awful your options are at the position I am more than willing to take a stab at Treggs even though Cal has about 117 receivers that play on a weekly basis. The Golden Bears are touchdown favorites with a game total in the high 60’s. When options are bleak turn to opportunity. Cal passes, a lot evidenced by Goff’s 105 pass attempts over their last two games. So lots of passes and lots of points separates Treggs from the rest of the garbage pile.

    Rashard Higgins
Higgins is another guy I don’t mind taking a shot with. Higgins had a better year in 2014, but it’s mostly due to the Rams moving to a more run-balanced offense. What Rashad has going for him is the fact he is option 1, 2, and 3 in the passing game. Higgins only has 66 receptions on the year, which isn’t great, but it’s still more than triple the next best receiver. He is capable of sinking your ship so I wouldn’t sacrifice at other positions in order to roster him, but there are few options to choose from.

    Tight End

    Garret Griffin
Sheesh, not only am I putting a pass catcher from the run-happy-triple-option Air Force attack, but he’s a tight end to boot. Luckily in the Falcon offense there is little distinction between receiver and tight end. Okay not technically, but Griffin is involved in the passing game as much as any receiver. The options are basically putrid and Griffin is the cheapest of those who catch a pass a few times a year.
