Quarterbacks

Brock Purdy FD 8100 DK 6500
Opponent TB
Proj Points FD - 21.21 DK - 21.21

The 49ers are getting closer to full health this week with Christian McCaffrey coming back into the mix. Yes, they are still without Brandon Aiyuk, but Juaun Jennings will be back as well. That puts Brock Purdy in a good spot on the road against the Tampa Bay Bucs. This game has a 50.5 total, the highest on the slate with Tampa Bay ranked 28th in opponents yards per pass attempts and third-to-last in opponents passing yards per game. This is a place to play Purdy in cash.

Justin Herbert FD 6900 DK 5200
Opponent TEN
Proj Points FD - 16.84 DK - 16.84

Justin Herbert is coming very cheap on DraftKings in a week where we might really need the savings elsewhere. The Titans have been an above-average defense on the season, ranking ninth in Defensive DVOA, but the Chargers have let Herbert air it out more in recent weeks, totalling 34, 39, 37, and 27 attempts over the last four. Over that stretch he has five touchdowns and zero interceptions. Plus, he’s run the ball 3+ times a game. Again, on DraftKings, this is a price play.

Running Back

Bijan Robinson FD 8800 DK 7700
Opponent NO
Proj Points FD - 20.9 DK - 23.31

The Saints have been below average on defense this season and have been particularly susceptible to the rush, allowing a ton of opponent yards on the ground this season. Bijan is coming off a week in which he saw 74% of the teams’ snaps with 26 total touches. The 19 carries and seven targets are elite usage and he piled on with 144 total yards. Tyler Allgeier vultured a touchdown, but we can live with it. This is a smash spot with the Saints in flux after firing their coach this week.

Breece Hall FD 8200 DK 7600
Opponent ARI
Proj Points FD - 18.98 DK - 21.89

The Cardinals are below average in opponents' yards per rush and rushing yards per game this season. And the Jets really need a win here. Breece Hall played 75% of the snaps in Week 9, getting 19 touches (15 carries and four targets), though he turned it into fewer than 80 total yards. He needs to be better than that to justify the price, but I’m trusting that the Jets keep him on the field throughout in this one.

Aaron Jones FD 7900 DK 6700
Opponent JAX
Proj Points FD - 17.64 DK - 19.68

Aaron Jones is coming too cheap on DraftKings, and he hasn’t been priced fully up for the recent usage. Dude has become a bellcow feature back with back-to-back weeks of 20+ touches and more than 80% of the offensive snaps. Cam Akers ate into a little of it last week, but not much. The Jaguars are the second-worst defensive DVOA team in the league this season, with only the Panthers being worse.

Consider

Austin Ekeler if Brian Robinson Jr. ends up sitting again.

Wide Receiver

DeAndre Hopkins FD 6000 DK 5300
Opponent DEN
Proj Points FD - 13.36 DK - 16.29

In Nuk’s second week on the Kansas City Chiefs, he became the number two weapon in the passing offense. Hopkins saw nine targets on Patrick Mahomes’ 44 passing attempts. And that was playing in only 60% of the offensive snaps. That should increase this time around and the KC offense could be really concentrated around Kareem Hunt, Hopkins and Travis Kelce, who we’ll get to in a second.

Tank Dell FD 7200 DK 7400
Opponent DET
Proj Points FD - 16.01 DK - 19.28

It looks like Nico Collins is going to miss another week with the hamstring issue and the team has already lost Stefon Diggs for the season. The good news is that Tank Dell finally got it going in Week 9, seeing nine targets on 30 CJ Stroud passing attempts. He went for 6/126 on those looks. The bad news is Stroud completed only 11 passes total. They could be playing catchup here against the Lions meaning a bunch of passing attempts. Dell is a pretty easy play at his pricing on FanDuel.

Josh Downs FD 7100 DK 6200
Opponent BUF
Proj Points FD - 13.25 DK - 16.84

He’s another good news/ bad news situation. On the bright side, Josh Downs is clearly Joe Flacco’s primary target, getting 9 targets, good for a 33% target share in Week 9. But Flacco was just 16/27 total and only threw for 179 total yards. I think we can give Downs another chance here though it’s worth mentioning Buffalo is an above-average pass defense.

Consider

Drake London left early last week but should be good to go here.

DeMario Douglas is a punt play on DraftKings.

Tight End

Travis Kelce FD 7000 DK 6000
Opponent DEN
Proj Points FD - 14.69 DK - 18.33

16 targets anyone? That’s how many Travis Kelce saw in Week 9. It’s a crazy number, and maybe a sign of things to come considering the Chiefs are just so short on offensive weapons. Against the Broncos, Kansas City is -8 home favorites and is looking to stay undefeated. It’s just impossible to find tight ends seeing anywhere close to this type of usage. It feels weird to pay up at the position, but Kelce could warrant it.

Taysom Hill FD 6300 DK 4000
Opponent ATL
Proj Points FD - 10.69 DK - 12.49

The Saints stink, but also, just about every one of their offensive players seems to have gotten hurt this season. They are down to basically Alvin Kamara, Taysom Hill, and a bunch of total randoms in the pass-catching corps. Hill played 31% of the snaps in Week 9, running for 19 yards and a touchdown while also getting five targets in the passing game. On DraftKings, he’s cheap enough to play despite the non-tight-end skill set.
