The Utah Jazz are into the tank and also sitting Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, and John Collins. That’s leaving a lot of minutes and shots on the table even for a team that doesn’t have all that much interest in winning. Keyonte George played 37 minutes last game, taking 14 shots and scoring 18 points. He didn’t end up adding all that much else in the stat sheet, though it’s tough to argue with the minutes. The price doesn’t kill you, especially on FanDuel.
Meanwhile, Collin Sexton stands to see a usage bump with the way the Jazz are rolling, though there’s some concern over the minutes after playing just 29 minutes last game. But some of that was foul trouble and blowout against the Kings. On a per-minute basis, the usage was there for sure and his price is still completely reasonable considering the context. The matchup against the Cavs isn’t amazing, though I think the state of the Jazz should have us playing the two guards here.

Damian Lillard is going to sit out another game for the Bucks and that’s going to mean stacking Milwaukee guys in one of the best NBA matchups you can get. Patrick Beverley played 36 minutes in the start last game, taking 10 shots and scoring 18 points while adding five rebounds and assists each. His DraftKings price is still way too low for the opportunity, and you can play him on FanDuel as well, even with a moderate price increase.

The good news on Khris Middleton is that with Damian Lillard out, reasonable expectation is that his usage increases. That being said, in 36 minutes last game against the Hawks he took only 10 shots. He did make nine of them, scoring 21 points while chipping in six rebounds and six assists. I think the shot attempts are on the extremely low end in that game with Lillard out. Now he’ll play the Wizards who are the third-worst defense in the league playing at the fastest pace. In the low $7K range on both sites, I suspect he’s a chalk guy everywhere.

The Spurs have folded in the rest of the season with Devin Vassell and Jeremy Sochan now announced to sit the rest of the way. That meant Cedi Osman joining the starting lineup last game, playing 36 minutes in total. He finished with 18 points on 7-12 shooting. There wasn’t much else to speak of, put at these prices it’s tough to argue with the minutes. Is there blowout risk? Oh, for sure. The Nuggets are -17 favorites right now. But the Spurs are down a lot of guys as well.
And then there is Julian Champagnie, who has been in the starting lineup but playing limited minutes even in that role. That changed last game with the Spurs missing so many players. He 38 minutes in total with a 9/5/4/1/1 line. Blowing you away? Nah, but his price is such that it really doesn’t have to. On both sites he helps ease some salary concerns even if the production isn’t eyepopping.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the big prize on this slate with the Bucks sitting Damian Lillard while also facing one of the best DFS matchups around in the Wizards. In a turn of course, Giannis has run big minutes the last few games 46 (2 OTs), 38, and 39 in that stretch. And he’s averaged 34 points, 17 rebounds, and eight assists in that stretch. His floor is incredibly high and the dude is just one of the best fantasy options we’ve ever seen.
This situation just lines up too well for him even at the very high price points. I suspect he’s one of the higher-owned plays all around especially when you consider that there are other cheaper options that make fitting the salary easier.

Walker Kessler drew the start with Lauri Markkanen and John Collins both on the shelf. He played 32 minutes last game though the production was underwhelming to say the least. He finished the game against the Kings with just six points and eight rebounds. But he did get three blocks and a steal in there as well. Kessler will have to make his bones on the defensive side to hit his FanDuel price. On DraftKings, it’s easier considering he’s under $5K. In all, I think we can go with Kessler here against the Cavs. Taylor Hendricks (FD 5100 DK 4800) is also in the mix here as well.

If he’s starting again and if Richaun Holmes is out then I think Marvin Bagley III could be a cash game play here. He’s averaging a double-double over the last couple of games with 12/10 and 15/11 in that stretch. I like the DraftKings price considerably more, though we are going to need the Wiz to hang with the Bucks.
