Point Guard/ Shooting Guard

James Harden FD - $9000 DK - $8400
Opponent - LAL
Proj Pts FD - 46.52 DK - 50.05

Paul George is still out of the lineup for the Clippers meaning we are going to get some value on the rest of the rotation in this game against the Lakers. James Harden has a 20% usage rate on the season, but that climbs to 24% with George off the court. He’s in line for more shots and in a close game the minutes could push towards 40. With the Clippers still fighting for playoff seeding, we should see a strong closing stretch from this group. Harden’s price isn’t in line with PG out of the mix.

Norman Powell FD - $4800 DK - $4800
Opponent - LAL
Proj Pts FD - 30.16 DK - 32.78

Norman Powell got the start in place of Paul George last game, and that should happen again here on Wednesday. Powell played 37 minutes last time out, taking the second-most shots on the team with 17. He finished with a team-high 21 points, though it’s worth noting that his fantasy production is basically: score the basketball or bust. Powell doesn’t pile on the assists or rebounds, though at his sub-$5K prices that risk is greatly mitigated. He will be a chalk play on this slate.

Jordan Goodwin FD - $4400 DK - $4000
Opponent - MIN
Proj Pts FD - 24.25 DK - 25.04

We could see Jordan Goodwin draw the start for the Grizzlies here seeing as how Memphis is, once again, shorthanded in terms of players available. Luke Kennard is out, as is John Konchar, leaving another think backcourt for this squad who is already down Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Marcus Smart. Goodwin can get the job done on a fantasy per-minute basis when given the opportunity. We will need to wait for the Grizz actives as well as the starting lineup with this one.

Small Forward

Kawhi Leonard FD - $9200 DK - $8700
Opponent - LAL
Proj Pts FD - 51.04 DK - 52.76

With Paul George off the court this season, Kawhi Leonard is the easy leader in the usage clubhouse, ringing in at 28% with the rebounds and assists climbing as well. The ball is just in his hands more and he makes for an easy cash game play against the Lakers. Los Angeles is an average defense this season running at the league’s third-fastest pace. They make for a strong DFS matchup. The Clippers guys should be among the highest-owned here and make for safe roster choices on both sites.

Bennedict Mathurin FD - $6300 DK - $6200
Opponent - NO
Proj Pts FD - 30.22 DK - 33.34

Bennedict Mathurin has been a massive chalk play over the short-term and last game paid off huge. He went for 34 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in 39 minutes, a Pacers’ team high. This matchup isn’t as good as the one against Toronto, but he’s still a relative value considering the usage and ability to rebound the position so well.

Consider Herbert Jones (FD 6000 DK 5900) and Trey Murphy III (FD 5800 DK 5700) if CJ McCollum is out again.

Power Forward/ Center

Zion Williamson FD - $8700 DK - $8300
Opponent - IND
Proj Pts FD - 47.95 DK - 50.44

Zion Williamson and the Pelicans get a pace-up game on Wednesday facing off against the Pacers who run the fastest in the league. CJ McCollum is questionable (as is Zion) and we’ve seen the team run even more offense through the latter in recent games. He’s one game removed from double-digit assists and has averaged 6.7 dimes a game over the last month. If that continues, his floor is considerably higher in the short-term.

Andre Drummond FD - $5900 DK - $5200
Opponent - CLE
Proj Pts FD - 39.81 DK - 41.19

Alex Caruso Is likely going to sit out this game against the Cavaliers and we should see Andre Drummond, once again, entering the starting lineup for the Bulls. From a matchup perspective, it would make sense seeing as how the Cavs go with two bigs in their starting lineup. From a fantasy standpoint, Drummond has been able to coexist with Nikola Vucevic and the minutes should be there in this game. Last time he started, Drummond went for 10 points and 15 rebounds in 28 minutes. Similar numbers are in play for him here.

Consider P.J. Washington (FD 5000 DK 5800).
