De'Aaron Fox has seen a bit of a price drop thanks to some short-term fantasy scoring drop-off. He hasn’t cracked 20 points in four-straight games, with the assists not really coming around either outside of a 10-dime performance against the Nuggets. The lack of scoring has him under $9K on each site, but he is now facing a Suns team that doesn’t defend the point of attack all that well. I like him as a bargain play in this price tier with a good matchup for the Kings.

The Pistons seem to be honing in on the exact rotation they want to play and have even been able to stick in some recent games. That’s meant more consistency from Cade Cunningham, who is averaging 20 points and eight assists over the last four. He’s still struggling to hit the three consistently, which is one reason the price has stayed in check. Even as double-digit underdogs against the Lakers, I like playing him on DraftKings, coming under $8K against a below-average defense.

The Blazers draw a tough matchup here against the Timberwolves, but there could be a lot to like about Anfernee Simons. For starters, Malcolm Brogdon is out, which helps Simons with the usage. Plus, the Blazers could be without Scoot Henderson as well which would make them very, very thin in the backcourt. Simons is getting up about 20 shots per game over the last four, scoring 27 point per in that stretch. The FanDuel price is enticing though there are blowout concerns to worry about.

The Heat are down some key figures today with Jimmy Butler out and Terry Rozier lost for the short-term as well. That should mean we see much of the offense run through Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez, and Bam Adebayo in this one. The Bucks are playing a below-average defense and have been even worse since Doc Rivers became the coach.
Tyler Herro had seen the shot attempts and usage drop since the full return of Jimmy Butler and the acquisition of Terry Rozier. But we should see those numbers tick back up here to over 20 per game, with the assists due for a bump as well. He should run a solid portion of the offense since the team is without Kyle Lowry now, too.
Meanwhile, with the Heat fully healthy, Jaime Jaquez Jr. had been coming off the bench and playing fewer than 30 minutes per game. That’s set to change here as well. We could see him get major run and the price is a total bargain now. Sitting at $4500 on DraftKings, he should be one of the highest-owned plays on the slate there.

His minutes were cut a bit short last game, but it appears as if Ausar Thompson will now stick in the starting lineup for the Pistons. With Bojan Bogdanovic gone and others out at the trade deadline, we should see his minutes stick around 30 for the foreseeable future (famous last words with Monty Williams). Thompson has a high fantasy floor considering the wya he scores points across the box score. I think he is a value play on both sites even with the blowout risk.

Bam Adebayo is getting pretty expensive on FanDuel, but for good reason. Plus, he remains a solid bargain on DraftKings in the $8K range. The minutes should more than be there, with Miami contending against the likes of Giannis and Brook Lopez. And Bam is coming off a 22-point, 13-rebound game last time out. He feels like one of the safer plays on the slate, considering the context around the Heat injuries.

It sure seems like the Suns want to play Jusuf Nurkic around 30 minutes a game, and I think that will be possible against the Kings running drop coverage against Domantas Sabonis and company. If that’s the case, he has a double-double upside, and he’s averaged right around that over the last five games. Last time out against the Kings, Nurkic went for 10 points and 15 rebounds in just 27 minutes. It’s a good sign for what he might do tonight against this team.
Strongly consider Jalen Duren (FD 7800 DK 7100) if you think he can stay out of foul trouble against the Lakers.
