Quarterbacks

Dak Prescott FD 8600 DK 7600
Opponent GB
Proj Points FD - 22.54 DK - 22.54

The Cowboys are in a great spot this Wild Card weekend, facing off against the Packers at home as -7.5 favorites with a 50.5 total. There could be a lot of points here, considering Green Bay comes in with the fifth-worst defensive DVOA in the league. Plus, the weather won’t be in the way it could be with some other games.

Dak finished the season with over 4,500 passing yards and a 36:9 TD: INT rate. It was an awesome season and he isn’t even the most expensive quarterback on the slate. This is a great spot, and I expect him to be a popular play.

Jordan Love FD 7600 DK 6300
Opponent DAL
Proj Points FD - 17.96 DK - 17.96

Jordan Love poured it on at the end of the season, throwing nine touchdowns and zero interceptions over the final four weeks of the season. He averaged right around 270 passing yards per game in that stretch, with the Packers winning three of their final four to get into the playoffs. Plus, he’ll have Christian Watson back in the mix, giving him a full complement of weapons on Sunday.

Dallas has been a good defense this season for sure, but on a weekend that features some iffy outdoor weather, getting quarterbacks in dome environments should be the priority. Along with Dak, Jordan Love, Jared Goff, and Matthew Stafford all fit the bill here and are all coming in the same price tier.

Running Back

Aaron Jones FD 7000 DK 6300
Opponent DAL
Proj Points FD - 18.27 DK - 20.21

Aaron Jones has finally been unleashed, and the last few weeks have been a testament to what he can do when he is A: healthy and B: given a full workload. Over that span, Jones is averaging 21 carries a game and 119 yards on the ground. Plus, he’s totaled nine targets and 58 yards through the air. It’s been amazing. We can ride this hot hand into the playoffs against the Cowboys. Dallas can be run on. I think the Packers will lean heavily this way for the Wild Card round.

Tony Pollard FD 7800 DK 6100
Opponent GB
Proj Points FD - 16.04 DK - 17.79

Tony Pollard finally did something! That’s right, after weeks (and kind of a season) of struggles on the ground, he found the end zone against the Commanders. This was after totaling 70 yards on 17 carries plus another 16 yards through the air.

The Packers aren’t a good defense at all, so Dallas could lean into the run here, especially if they get a lead. I don’t think Pollard is safe by any means because the efficiency has been rough all season long. But I do think he still commands solid usage. Plus, the conditions are tough to pass up.

Strongly consider Devin Singletary even though he is facing the Cleveland Browns defense. Singletary has been dominating the Texans running back snaps and that should continue.

Wide Receiver

CeeDee Lamb FD 10000 DK 9000
Opponent GB
Proj Points FD - 23.19 DK - 27.8

CeeDee Lamb has been unbelievable this season, finishing with the second-most receiving yards in the league and the most receptions. The Cowboys have gotten him involved into basically every game early and often, making sure he’s the focal point of the game plan. Stacking the Cowboys on this Wild Card slate makes a lot of sense and having Lamb + Prescott would appear to have the highest floor of any combination. He’s expensive, but if there’s a positional spend-up, Lamb is the one.

Cooper Kupp FD 7500 DK 7500
Opponent DET
Proj Points FD - 16.09 DK - 20.08

Puka Nacua FD 8000 DK 7200
Opponent DET
Proj Points FD - 16.9 DK - 20.52

Matthew Stafford's return to Detroit could be really something to behold. Fans waited forever for the QB to bring the Lions to the playoffs, and now they’ll host a game where he comes in as a road dog. The Lions' defense has given it up this season, allowing the 6th-most passing yards per game and 3rd-most yards per passing attempt. It could be a total track meet here, and Stafford is likely to target Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua all game long.

With production from these two so much of the concentrated passing game, it’s easy to see stacking them if you are able to free up enough salary. If not, it becomes tough to choose the right side of the coin when flipping. I lean toward Kupp just based on history, but Nacua has obviously had an unbelievable season. This is a close one, but overall, the conditions are great, and it could be a shootout.

Tight End

David Njoku FD 7000 DK 5600
Opponent HOU
Proj Points FD - 11.07 DK - 13.94

David Njoku was unreal over the last four weeks of the season, syncing up with Joe Flacco for as good a tight end stretch as you’ll see really. He averaged seven catches and 93 yards per game in that span, catching four touchdowns as well. The conditions in Houston will be good here, considering it’s in the dome, and that helps give him a solid floor. The Njoku is the top target for an offense that suddenly looks like it wants to push the ball down the field a lot.

Tucker Kraft FD 5300 DK 3300
Opponent DAL
Proj Points FD - 8.75 DK - 10.82

Tucker Kraft is coming on the cheaper side of things, which really helps at the tight end position, considering we often want to punt here. He had three straight six-target games before falling some in Week 18. But I think he remains one of the safer options at the position, relatively speaking. Even though Christian Watson is back, there should be plenty of targets in the Green Bay offense if they are playing from behind against the Cowboys.

Brock Wright or James Mitchell could be interesting adds with Sam LaPorta expected to miss this game.
