Point Guard/ Shooting Guard
Devin Booker FD - $10800 DK - $10100
Opponent - SAC
Proj Pts FD - 58.73 DK - 63.83
Eric Gordon FD - $5500 DK - $6300
Opponent - SAC
Proj Pts FD - 32.17 DK - 34.83
Kevin Durant has already been ruled out for this game and that’s going to mean we are likely stacking Devin Booker and Eric Gordon in cash seeing as how they are candidates to take just about every shot for this team. With Durant off the court this season, Devin Booker has a borderline unreal 38% usage rate.
The assists and the rebound tick up as well. Basically, he’s the whole team with KD off the court and that’s going to give him a very high floor going into this matchup against the Kings. Expect him to be among the highest-owned players on the slate.
Meanwhile, Eric Gordon sees the second most usage with Durant off the court with his number climbing to 27%. He’s not a candidate to fill the stat line across the board just because of how he plays, but the price doesn’t have you worrying about all that much either.
Playing these guys together in cash games is likely how things swing in terms of ownership and you should be on board as well.
Anfernee Simons FD - $6600 DK - $6800
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 39.13 DK - 42.42
Anfernee Simons returned to the court after missing the first couple of months of the season, and it was like he hadn’t been gone at all. He stepped right into the starting lineup, played 37 minutes, and jacked up 27 shots. He only hit 10 of them but finished with 28 points and four assists.
Malcolm Brogdon went down in that game, giving Simons more opportunity but I don’t think his price has come close to correcting based on how he came in for that first tilt. He’s a pretty easy play here.
Small Forward
Bojan Bogdanovic FD - $6300 DK - $6500
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 39.77 DK - 41.95
Bojan Bogdanovic is back in the starting lineup, and the price hasn’t fully come around yet considering he’s missed the beginning of the season. He got the minutes up to 32 last games and went for 22 points, seven assists, and four rebounds, with three steals as well. The Pistons, who completely stink, desperately need his floor spacing and they are also desperate to win a game seeing as how they’ve dropped 18 in a row.
As long as it’s close (a big ask for Detroit), Bojan should see minutes in the mid-30s and has a high floor, considering how he scores his fantasy points.
Keita Bates-Diop FD - $4000 DK - $4500
Opponent - SAC
Proj Pts FD - 23.96 DK - 23.34
Josh Okogie FD - $4400 DK - $4900
Opponent - SAC
Proj Pts FD - 22.13 DK - 22.26
With Kevin Durant out, as well as Grayson Allen, we could see more minutes and usage from both of these guys against the Kings. I think both of them get into the starting lineup, though that isn’t set in stone at all. Even with Devin Booker and Eric Gordon likely to take most of the shots, there is just so much open opportunity for Phoenix right now.
It’s hard to imagine both of these guys face-planting at these prices as long as they run with the starters. 30+ minutes for both is definitely in the cards, and seeing as how both are coming in the $4K range we should be good here.
Even on a big slate, we could be looking at playing four Suns in cash games, which might feel weird, but it's likely correct when all is said and done.
Power Forward/ Center
Isaiah Stewart FD - $5200 DK - $5500
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 21.56 DK - 24.05
Jalen Duren has already been ruled out for this game, which means the Pistons are, once again, without their starting center. It’s not 100% clear which direction they’ll go here, but I expect Big Stew to get the start at the five. Marvin Bagley Jr. and James Wiseman just aren’t it and don’t seem to be big on Monty Williams's list at this point.
Stewart sees a big bump in rebounding rate when he’s at center instead of a weak side corner shooter that he’s used as with Duren on the court. Keep an eye on this situation, but we should be getting value on Stewart here, and as long as the game is close (big if), the minutes should be there.
Orlando Robinson FD - $5500 DK - $5400
Opponent - CLE
Proj Pts FD - 35.42 DK - 37.55
Orlando Robinson will get the start for at least one more game with Bam Adebayo out, and that’s good news for us when filling out DFS lineups. He’s coming off playing 33 minutes as a starter and dropped 15 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists while also adding four blocks + steals. It was a complete performance against the Raptors.
The matchup against the Cavaliers is a bit tougher because of their bigs, but O-Rob is still too cheap on both sites. They haven’t brought the price in line with the opportunity, and he’s close to a lock in cash games.
