Guards
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10200 DK - $10400
Opponent - HOU
Proj Pts FD - 55.21 DK - 54.38
The price is back in the $10K which lowers the overall PTS/$ ceiling but I am not at all concerned about the floor for cash games considering he checks almost every box tonight. It starts with the home matchup against the Rockets' 28th-ranked defence which is still short two starting guards in Porter and Green. For SGA, he has been rock-solid lately averaging 32.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 2.8 blocks+steals over his last six games leading to an average over 50 fantasy points a game. That is where the system has him pegged tonight and with that, he is one of my core plays in all formats.
Jamal Murray FD - $8200 DK - $7900
Opponent - ATL
Proj Pts FD - 38.02 DK - 39.45
Another player who is checking all the boxes tonight is Jamal Murray who is playing his best basketball of the season currently. Over his last 10 games, he has seen his shot volume increase and is taking over two more shots a game than his season numbers and has taken 20 or more shots in four of his last five games. He has made the most with that volume, as well, with 20 or more points in five straight while averaging 24.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.2 assists over that 10-game stretch. He now gets a favourable matchup against the Hawks who rank 19th in defensive efficiency and 10th in pace. Fire up Murray in all formats.
Daishen Nix FD - $4200 DK - $3700
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 20.48 DK - 21.85
For value tonight, the system loves going back to Daishen Nix who should get his third straight start with Porter out, Green doubtful, and Tate expected to sit out the second of a back-to-back set here. While Nix has struggled to get his shot down going just 6 for 22 in the past two games, he has hit floor value thanks to his contributions in the rebound(12) and assist(8) departments. The price on DraftKings has actually dropped going into tonight's matchup and considering he should easily get another 30+ minutes and double-digit shots, Nix is in play for me in all formats.
Small Forward
Kenyon Martin Jr. FD - $5900 DK - $5900
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 29.75 DK - 32.44
Sticking with the Rockets who appear to be short-handed once again we have some mid-tier value in Kenyon Martin. He has stepped up in a big way lately averaging 16.6 points and 9.0 rebounds over his last five games while tallying 33 or more DraftKings points in four of those games. To put that into perspective, he had topped 30 DK points just five times in his previous 47 games this season. The price is at a season-high and he does face a Top 10 defence in OKC, but the good news is that the Thunder are dead last in opponent rebounding which should lead to another 30+ point game on Saturday. I will have exposure in all formats.
Power Forward/Center
Dorian Finney-Smith FD - $5400 DK - $4900
Opponent - GS
Proj Pts FD - 24.75 DK - 25.35
The theme on this slate is most definitely injuries and those who benefit from them and Finney-Smith falls into the latter category on Saturday. The Mavs are already with Christian Wood and Maxi Kleber and tonight will be even more short-handed as Luka will sit out and even Spencer Dinwiddie is questionable to play. That will leave a lot of minutes to go around and we have already seen Finney-Smith handle that workload with 35+ minutes in four straight. There is always a low floor with Finney-Smith but in his current situation has been good lately with 33+ DraftKings points in three of those four games. All things considered, DFS is one of my top values on this slate.
Deandre Ayton FD - $7700 DK - $7600
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 40.85 DK - 43.55
Both teams are on a back-to-back tonight but it's hard to ignore the Suns and specifically Ayton who checks all the boxes starting with a nice mid $7K price tag on both sites. I get it, as he is prone to putting up a dud here and there but comes into Saturday playing really well averaging a double-double on 18.5 points and 12.1 rebounds over his last 11 games. It's the rebounding where he thrives and where most of his value lies and that's good news here as the Pistons rank 25th in opponent rebounding and give up the second-most fantasy points to centers. Fire up Ayton in all formats.
