Guards
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10600 DK - $10600
Opponent - HOU
Proj Pts FD - 54.43 DK - 53.58
Kevin Porter Jr. FD - $8000 DK - $8400
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 42.19 DK - 43.51
Let's start with the game that checks all the boxes for us tonight. Both the Thunder and Rockets rank Top 10 in pace while ranking outside the Top 20 in defensive efficiency and we will start at guard as both also rank 28th(HOU) and 23rd(OKC) in fantasy points given up to the position. My favourite and one of the most consistent fantasy players in the league is SGA who himself checks all the boxes. He has taken 20 or more shots in five of his last six games and has the sixth-highest usage rate in the league but comes with a price the next tier down. In this matchup, SGA is my top pay-up on this slate.
On the other side of the ball, we have Kevin Porter who has a much larger gap between his floor and ceiling adding some risk but considering the terrific matchup I described above, I am on board in all formats. The price is on the rise but for good reason, as he is coming off back-to-back games with 50+ DraftKings points aided by some awesome secondary scoring adding 16 rebounds, 14 assists, and seven blocks+steals in those two games.
Jordan Clarkson FD - $7000 DK - $7400
Opponent - PHO
Proj Pts FD - 32.58 DK - 34.76
Clarkson has been very consistent all season with his new role as a starter and is now getting even more of an opportunity to shine with Miek Conley remaining out of the lineup on Saturday. In the three games without Conley so far, Clarkson has played 35+ minutes in each and is shooting 49% from the field on 18 shots per game, and is averaging just shy of 40 fantasy points per game. He draws a tough matchup against the Suns here but given the price, opportunity, and size of this slate, I will have exposure to Clarkson in all formats.
Also Consider: Jalen Green(HOU) as another Rocket's guard in a great spot tonight or Collin Sexton(UTA) as a value option if he starts in place of Mike Conley again
Small Forward
Lonnie Walker IV FD - $5200 DK - $5200
Opponent - SA
Proj Pts FD - 26.29 DK - 27.95
There isn't a ton of value to be had at the moment but one I am eyeing up is Lonnie Walker. Having both Lebron James and Anthony Davis on your team sort of limits your upside but for cash games, Walker has provided an excellent floor and has been consistent all season. We are ultimately looking for about 25 fantasy points from him and he has averaged just a shade higher than that(26.4) over his last 10 games. In a matchup against a Spurs team that is 29th in defensive efficiency and Top 10 in pace, I am on board with Walker as a top PTS/$ cash game option tonight.
Power Forward/Center
Anthony Davis FD - $11800 DK - $10900
Opponent - SA
Proj Pts FD - 59.08 DK - 59.41
No player comes into this Saturday slate running hotter than Anthony Davis. All it took was Lebron to sit out a few games for him to find his stride as he averaged an astounding 33 points and 17 rebounds in his absence and even with Bron returning last night, AD dropped 25 and 15 and is now averaging over 65 fantasy points per game in his last six games. He is an insane double-double machine with huge block upside and now gets an elite matchup against the Spurs who run fast(7th in pace) and suck at defense(29th in def eff). Lock and load with Davis as a top play in all formats tonight.
Aleksej Pokusevski FD - $5700 DK - $5000
Opponent - HOU
Proj Pts FD - 29.66 DK - 30.46
Let's cap things off with one more value play on this smaller slate. After struggling and playing through an injury, Pokusevski finally sat out a game and it appears to have helped in a big way. He returned to the court Wednesday and in two games, has played 29 and 32 minutes and took a season-high 13 shots yesterday in a win against the Bulls. He doesn't much in terms of secondary scoring but just enough to give him a solid floor for cash games at these prices, especially in an elite matchup against the Rockets.
