Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 2

Week one is in the books and it's now time to gear up for another profitable week. Doug once again got things started with his Cash Game article and now I will be looking at some of my favorite stacks to help you take down GPP contests. I am going to do things a little different and look at a wide variety of stacks including the chalky/most popular choices, some off-the-board stacks, as well as some leverage/low-owned stacks to help us separate our lineups from the herd. There is a good chance this stack is the most popular one this week and it makes a ton of sense as it provides us both a very high floor and ceiling. Adams came over to the Raiders in the offseason to join his College teammate Derek Carr and while we were unsure how it would work out going into the season, we learned a ton in week one. Carr targeted Adams 17 times for an insane 46% target share(highest in the league) and while Adams only caught 10 of them, he turned it into 141 yards, got into the endzone once, and tallied 33 DK/25.1 FD points.

The price justifiably went up on both of them as they return to Las Vegas for their home opener in another terrific matchup. They face the Cardinals who got destroyed by the Chiefs in week one giving up 360 passing yards and five passing touchdowns to Patrick Mahomes. While it was Travis Kelce(8-121-1) doing most of the damage, the Cards did not have a corner that rated out better than 75th in week one when looking at coverage rankings(via PFF).

This game has the highest total(51.5) on the main slate by a wide margin with the Raiders favoured by 5.5 points. This is easily my favorite stack of the week and one I will build around in all formats.

Other options to stack in this game:

Darren Waller(TE) makes a ton of sense after seeing what Travis Kelce did to this defense a week ago. Waller was good, not great in week one catching 4 of 6 targets for 79 yards. The only issue I see is the volume with Adams commanding huge target share in the offense.

Hunter Renfrow(WR) could be the low-owned leverage play in a Raiders stack after he let fantasy owners down last week catching 3 of 6 targets for just 21 yards. I will definitely sprinkle some in to get some separation in the chalkiest team to stack this week

There are a lot of different ways I will be stacking this game but my favorite is centered around a game stack of the passing attacks. Let's start with the Broncos who had a heartbreaking loss to the Seahawks in week one but there was a lot of positives to take away from a fantasy standpoint. First of all, despite getting booed all game by one of the loudest crowds in the NFL, Russell Wilson was still good for fantasy putting up the fourth most pass attempts(42) and tallying the third-most passing yards(340) in week one. It was a bit concerning early on with the majority of the pass attempts going to Andrew Beck(lol) but in the end, both Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy received seven targets each with Jeudy catching a 67-yard bomb for a touchdown ending up with 102 yards while Sutton tallied 72 yards through the air.

If choosing just one of the pass catchers in week two, I lean Jeudy for a couple of reasons starting with the savings on both sites. Next, it comes down to matchup as Jeudy ran 68% of his routes in the slot and will go up against Desmond King who has taken a step back in coverage ratings in each of the last four seasons. I feel this is a matchup that Wilson/Jeudy can exploit leading to a big day for both. I also like running this stack back with Brandin Cooks who showed continued chemistry with Davis Mills catching 7 of 12 targets for 82 yards against a tough Colts defense in week one.

Other options to stack in this game:

Courtland Sutton(WR) is the other wideout I will stack a ton with Wilson. I don't like the matchup as much as Jeudy's but for Sutton, he had a huge 17.1 aDOT(average depth of target) in week one which can lead to some huge plays considering the Texans gave up five completions of 20+ yards in week one

Javonte Williams(RB) is slowly taking over the bell cow role in the backfield and as 10-point favorites, could see heavy workload should this turn into a blowout game script early on. He is also heavily involved in the passing game catching 11 of 12 targets in week one so he practically fits all game scripts

For big GPP's where you need to be a bit different to separate yourself in your builds, I always like to look for some leverage and I think this stack gives us just that. The first area where we can gain leverage is at quarterback as Carson Wentz is in the same price range as projected chalk Derek Carr and Matt Stafford who both get elite matchups. If this is the case, I love Wentz here who has terrific in week one throwing it 41 times for 313 yards and four touchdowns. Yes, he does present some risk as he can turn the ball over at times but is not afraid to chuck it up and best of all, has seen a huge upgrade in weapons in 2022.

Not only can we leverage our lineups by pivoting off some chalky QB's, we can also gain leverage in the Commanders own offense. While Terry McLaurin is the most talented wideout on the team, he was only the third-best option, in terms of fantasy, in week one. Curtis Samuel showed off his near-elite playmaking ability while leading the team with 11 targets. Rookie Johan Dotson also stood out in a big way catching 3 of 5 targets for 40 yards while reaching the endzone twice. Both of these wideouts are a heck of a lot cheaper than McLaurin, as well, which should lead to a big ownership gap this week. Sign my up for the more talented and proven option at lower ownership!

While I love the leverage spot with McLaurin here, I will have multiple Washington stacks including Curtis Samuel and Johan Dotson
