Point Guard / Shooting Guard

Kyrie Irving FD - $9000 DK - $10600
Opponent - HOU
Proj Pts FD - 53.83 DK - 56.48

The Nets are currently the 10th seed in the East, staring down the possibility of having to win two play-in games to even make the playoffs. So, yeah, this is a must-win. Luckily it’s against the Rockets and Brooklyn is currently -17.5 home favorites. It should be an easy win, but nothing about this season has been easy. Kyrie should still be in line for a lot of minutes and major usage even though he’s not been as efficient of late. But he’s taken 22 or more shots in three of the last four games, putting up 24+ in the last three. He’s an excellent play on both sites, and we can probably just pair him with Durant in cash games.

Tre Jones FD - $3700 DK - $4000
Opponent - DEN
Proj Pts FD - 32.21 DK - 33.86

Dejounte Murray is still out sick so Tre Jones is going to get the start again for the Spurs who are definitely trying to make the play-in game over the Lakers at this point. Jones has played 33 and 34 minutes respectively over the last two, averaging 13 points, six rebounds, and eight assists in that stretch. The DraftKings and FanDuel prices are both no-brainers on this slate even with the tougher matchup against the Nuggets. He’s just coming too cheap considering the opportunity and so much fantasy production opens up for the Spurs with Murray off of the court.

Caris LeVert FD - $5400 DK - $7000
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 34.41 DK - 36.84

The Cavs are still trying to find their way out of the play-in game though that’s looking like an uphill battle at this point. It’s likely that they finish in the 8th or 9th seed and they’ve now lost six of their last eight games with all of the injuries really catchup up here. But from a fantasy perspective, we still can run Levert out there, especially on FanDuel where he’s just coming too cheap. He’s playing major minutes when the games stay close and has put up 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists over the last two. The DraftKings price is a little steep, but FD is asleep at the wheel with their salary.

Vít Krejčí FD - $4300 DK - $4600
Opponent - POR
Proj Pts FD - 25.41 DK - 27.87

Aaron Wiggins FD - $4500 DK - $5000
Opponent - POR
Proj Pts FD - 28.08 DK - 30.48

The Thunder are playing with a total JV team right now, but luckily they are going against another JV team in the Blazers on Tuesday. It’s a race for the bottom here, but I still think there’s some value to be had on the OKC side. These two should be in the starting lineup again and both have played higher minutes of late when the games stay close. Krejci has run 32 or more in each of the last four, averaging 10 points, five assists, and five rebounds in that stretch. It’s increased of late as well and he’s coming cheap enough on both sites to consider.

And then there is Wiggins whose minutes don’t quite feel as safe, but does have some more fantasy upside when things are going well. He’s taken double-digit shots in three of his last four games dropping in double-digit points in four of the last five. There are just enough rebounds and assists in his game to keep the floor higher as well.

Small Forward

Kevin Durant FD - $11200 DK - $11600
Opponent - HOU
Proj Pts FD - 59.17 DK - 62.94

Like I said with Kyrie Irving, the Nets are in a must-win situation and just happen to play the team that allows the most opponent fantasy points per game on the season with the Rockets. Sure, there is definitely blowout risk here, but you might just have to suck it up on that end considering just how good a spot this is for the two Nets stars. Durant is coming off a 55-point game against the Hawks on Saturday in which the Nets still lost and he’s taken 21 or more shots in each of the last four games. He’s also had either double-digit assists or rebounds in two of those. This is one he could put it all together and really blow it out of the box.

Jimmy Butler FD - $7600 DK - $8400
Opponent - CHA
Proj Pts FD - 43.81 DK - 45.37

Butler continues to come just a bit too cheap on FanDuel at sub-$8K and he gets a great matchup against Charlotte on Tuesday. The Hornets are running a top-4 pace this season with a defense that ranks 23rd. Plus, the Heat are still battling for the #1 seed in the East and should be going for it in this one. I like Butler to play mid-30s minutes and over the last three games he’s averaging 24 points, six rebounds, and five assists. The floor is plenty high here even if the usage isn’t always amazing in this offense. Again, this is more a FanDuel play than anything else.

Power Forward/ Center

Nikola Jokic FD - $12000 DK - $12500
Opponent - SA
Proj Pts FD - 64.74 DK - 69.06

Denver still has a chance, albeit a small one, to sneak into the 4th seed in the Western Conference before the season closes out. They will pretty much have to win out and that will start here against the Spurs. I’m not sure what to say about Jokic that hasn’t been made abundantly clear at this point. He’s just about as good as it’s ever gotten from a fantasy perspective and is having one of the truly amazing statistical seasons of all time. The price is through the roof, but it’s warranted and with good reason. I can still play him here because this late in the season there will almost assuredly be cheaper punt plays to round out the lineup.

Aleksej Pokuševski FD - $6100 DK - $6700
Opponent - POR
Proj Pts FD - 37.75 DK - 40.55

From a fantasy perspective, Poku probably has the highest upside on the Thunder considering he can score fantasy points across the box score in a way no one else they are currently running really can. He’s coming off a triple-double against the Suns on Sunday when he put up 17 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds in a surprising win for OKC. Though the price has come up, I think he’s the safest of the bunch here, and as long as the game stays close should play minutes in the mid-30s. It’s weird to play a mid-tier Poku, but I think he’s a value considering his fantasy profile.

Anthony Davis FD - $7600 DK - $9000
Opponent - PHO
Proj Pts FD - 44.56 DK - 45.36

I have him lower than Poku only because there is a difference in price on Davis depending on the site. The DraftKings price is palatable, though not amazing whereas the FanDuel price just looks like a mistake. He’s sitting at $7600 over there and that makes him nearly a lock even with the tougher matchup against the Suns. Look, the Lakers stink and are likely drawing dead for the playoffs, but we could see one more big minutes game out of Davis who’s played 35 and 37 respectively over the last two games. In that stretch he’s averaging 25 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists with six blocks+steals total. Again, the price on FD is just too low at a weaker PF position and it’s a pretty easy call to play him over there.
