FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 3/27/22

There are only two weeks left in the regular season! It's been an amazing year, and this is actually one of my favorite times to play. There's so much resting and strange things going on in these rotations, that paying attention is a significant advantage. That might sound like a simple recipe but understanding how these rotations will play out at this time of the year puts you way ahead of the field. We feel like we have a better read on that than most, so let's get started with two of the best PGs in our sport!

Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below.

Point Guard

Kyrie Irving FD - $10800 DK - $10500
Opponent - CHA
Proj Pts FD - 48.24 DK - 49.08

Kyrie has been in the news for all the wrong reasons at times this season, but we need to discuss how absurd this guy is on the basketball court. That's why he has all this notoriety, and it's honestly a spectacle to watch this dude work. Over his last nine games played, Irving is averaging 35.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. That equates to 57 DraftKings points per game, one of the highest totals in the NBA. That's scary since he will be extra motivated here, playing his first home game with the silly mandate being lifted. Not to mention, he faces a Charlotte team that ranks third in pace and 28th in total defense.

Chris Paul FD - $6600 DK - $7200
Opponent - PHI
Proj Pts FD - 35.79 DK - 35.54

It's strange to see CP3 this cheap. We're talking about one of the greatest point guards of all time amid one of the best seasons of his career. The price drop is clearly due to his return from injury but playing 30 minutes in his return to action tells us that he's essentially ready for a full workload. He finished with 46 DK points in that return, which is impressive since he had at least 36 fantasy points in 15 of 16 games before suffering that injury. We don't necessarily like the matchup against a stingy Philly defense, but the point guard position is one spot you can exploit them. In their one meeting earlier this year, CP3 collected 42 DK points in another vintage performance.

Jordan Poole has at least 32 DK points in 12 straight games and is going off in the absence of Stephen Curry.

Shooting Guard

C.J. McCollum FD - $7800 DK - $8600
Opponent - LAL
Proj Pts FD - 44.04 DK - 45.31

Portland made a mistake trading this guy, but New Orleans is reaping all the benefits. Having him has been more critical than ever right now, with the Pelicans trying to cope without Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. Those two studs being out has left McCollum with all he can handle, posting a 34 percent usage rate with those guys off the floor. More importantly, he's scored at least 37 DraftKings points in 16 straight games, generating a 45-point average in that span. That's right on par with our projection, but it might be low since he faces a Lakers team that ranks sixth in pace and 26th in points allowed.

Bruce Brown FD - $6700 DK - $6200
Opponent - CHA
Proj Pts FD - 29.57 DK - 28.64

Many people might not realize this, but Brown is one of the most important players on this Nets team. This dude brings the energy every night, and he's been stuffing the stat sheet at ease as well. He's scored at least 32 DK points in eight of his last 10 games, posting a 33-point average in that span. That's really all you can hope for from a player barely cracking $6K, especially since he's regularly playing 35-40 minutes a night. The best part is this matchup, though, with the Hornets owning a 27th OPRK against opposing wings this season while generating the ugly defensive statistics mentioned in the Irving write-up.

Malik Monk is a decent punt play around $5K against a bad Pelicans defense.

Small Forward

Jayson Tatum FD - $9400 DK - $9600
Opponent - MIN
Proj Pts FD - 46.51 DK - 48.03

It's hard to understand why JT hasn't crept above $10K. This guy has been playing at that level for two months now, carrying Boston to the best record in the NBA in that span. Tatum has scored at least 34 DraftKings points in 33 of his last 34 games, averaging 47 fantasy points per game in that span. Doing that damage is even more remarkable considering that Boston has been blowing out many of their opponents in that stretch. We love that in a matchup like this because this should be a close game against a hot Minnesota team. It's a fantasy-friendly matchup, too, with the T'Wolves playing at the fastest pace in the NBA while ranked 20th in total defense.

Otto Porter Jr. FD - $5600 DK - $4500
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 19.59 DK - 19.19

I've always believed that Porter is an underrated player, and it's clear these sites don't show that same sentiment. The $4,500 price tag on DraftKings is particularly insulting, with OPJ playing at a $7K level since Curry went down. In fact, Porter has scored at least 38 DK points in two of his last three games. He's always shown that ability, averaging 32 DK points per game in the 16 outings he's played at least 26 minutes. The matchup with Washington is wonderful, too, with the Wizards ranked 25th in defensive efficiency ratings. It's also a revenge game for Otto, which only adds to the laundry list of reasons why we love him here.

We've already discussed how sexy a matchup with Charlotte is, making Kevin Durant one of the most unmistakable plays out there.

Power Forward

Kristaps Porzingis FD - $8700 DK - $8500
Opponent - GS
Proj Pts FD - 44.71 DK - 44.24

The Porzingis trade was bizarre for many reasons, but it looks like Washington walked away with quite the steal. The big man has consistently shown the ability to be a stud, and he is the Wizards offense right now with Kyle Kuzma and Bradley Beal both sidelined. That has led to KP scoring at least 37 DK points in seven of his last eight games while cracking 57-plus in two of his previous three games. That's far from surprising when you see that he's taken 40 shots in those two outings while providing an absurd 37 percent usage rate. If he keeps doing that, KP needs to be $1,000 more on each site. It's not like anyone on Golden State can guard him either, with the Warriors playing their worst basketball of the season right now.

Robert Williams III FD - $6800 DK - $6000
Opponent - MIN
Proj Pts FD - 30.83 DK - 28.91

Anytime you get an opportunity to use one of these Boston big men when the other is out, you have to take it. Al Horford has already been ruled out for this game, leaving Williams with all of the center minutes. That means he's a guarantee for 30-35 minutes, which is scary since this guy is nicknamed The Time Lord. If you look at the 45 games Williams has played at least 25 minutes, he's averaging 37 DK points per game! That's an amazing total, and it's scary to think he'll feast even more here against the fastest-paced team in the NBA. It's not like Karl-Anthony Towns is a bad matchup either, establishing himself as one of the worst defensive centers around.

Draymond Green has been terrible since his return, but his price is getting too cheap.

Center

Rudy Gobert FD - $7400 DK - $7800
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 41.29 DK - 41.36

Big Rudy should never be below $8,000. This guy is one of the most reliable players in fantasy, scoring at least 27 DK points in all but five games this season. That floor is matched by a magnificent 41-point average, making it hard to understand why Rudy's price has dropped. That floor has been even higher recently, with Gobert scoring at least 32 DK points in seven of his last eight games. Dallas does have one of the most formidable defenses in the NBA, but they really struggle with opposing centers. In their three matchups this season, Rudy is registering a 37-point average against this terrible center rotation.

Andre Drummond FD - $5500 DK - $5600
Opponent - CHA
Proj Pts FD - 27.93 DK - 27.39

Why has Drummond's price dropped this much? He's being asked to do a ton in the absence of LaMarcus Aldridge, playing 25 minutes a night in this expanded role. That might not sound like much, but we're talking about a player who's averaging 1.3 DK points per minute for his career. That's who he's been recently, with Dre averaging 30 DK points per game across 23 minutes a night over his last seven games played. All of that is horrifying news for the Hornets, with Charlotte surrendering the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season. In this matchup two weeks ago, Drum dropped 48 DK points in one of the best games of the season!

Jonas Valanciunas should feast against a Lakers defense that has no legitimate center.
