Point Guard
Dejounte Murray FD - $8900 DK - $9200
Opponent - IND
Proj Pts FD - 44.59 DK - 44.63
The Spurs usage is very evenly distributed between Murray, Keldon Johnson, and Lonnie Walker but the latter two have really struggled from the field recently while Murray has thrived. Over his last two games, he has dropped 19 of 34 shots from the field(56%) and 4 of 8 from behind the arc. What really makes him stand out, especially from a safe floor/cash games standpoint, is that he provides value in multiple areas averaging over eight assists and rebounds per game. It's also a perfect time to be facing the Pacers who come in 1-6 and rank 21st in defensive efficiency. Lock and load in all formats.
Damian Lillard FD - $8300 DK - $9600
Opponent - PHI
Proj Pts FD - 48.02 DK - 50.4
To say it is a bit of a struggle to start the season for Lillard would be a massive understatement as he is shooting 10% below his career FG% and more noticeable only shooting 23% from behind the arc(37% career). Despite the struggles, the Trail Blazers run a Top 3 pace and are in a decent spot tonight against the Sixers who have been nothing more than league-average defensively. While the price is going up on DraftKings making him more of a GPP only play, he comes at a terrific value on FanDuel and is my top PTS/$ guard.
Shooting Guard
Bradley Beal FD - $9100 DK - $10000
Opponent - ATL
Proj Pts FD - 44.45 DK - 45.5
If it's volume you're after, look no further than Bradley Beal who leads the league with an insane 35.7% usage rate while putting up 24.8 shots per game. While the fantasy performances haven't been as consistent as we would like from a top-priced player, the good news is that he is running a bit cold in terms of FG%(36%) compared last season(48.5%) and over the course of his career(45.5%). With that, the price has stayed relatively in check so you could say this is a bit of a buy-low in terms of his upside potential. I will have exposure in all formats tonight.
Derrick White FD - $6100 DK - $6400
Opponent - IND
Proj Pts FD - 35.55 DK - 37.24
White is fourth in the pecking order for the Spurs in terms of usage which caps his upside most nights but it's the floor I am after for cash games at a mid-tier price. He has put up double-digit shots and scored 25+ fantasy points in all six games this season while adding an average of just over six assists. I am really drawn to this matchup as these teams rank 5th and 13th in pace early on and like I mentioned with Murray above, this is a perfect time to be facing the Pacers. While I prefer White in cash games, he is in play in all formats at these prices.
Small Forward
Tobias Harris FD - $7400 DK - $9100
Opponent - POR
Proj Pts FD - 40.87 DK - 43.85
While Ben Simmons is back at the practice facility, he is still without a timetable to return to the team and as long as he is out Harris will continue to provide excellent value. Looking back at last season, Tobias saw a near 4% boost in usage and averaged two more rebounds per game with Simmons off the court and he is now coming off his second double-double through six games. Much like Bradley Beal who I mentioned above, Harris is a much better play on FanDuel tonight as he makes up just 12% of the overall salary cap(18% on DK).
Michael Porter Jr. FD - $6200 DK - $6200
Opponent - MEM
Proj Pts FD - 33.57 DK - 36.34
Coming off his worst shooting performance of the season, Porter was able to salvage his fantasy day grabbing 12 boards in a low-scoring game against the T-Wolves. More good news here as the price has started to come back down and our system loves the PTS/$ upside on a player that has shot over 50% from the field in his first two seasons(33% so far this year). The other factor here is the matchup against a Grizzlies team that is tied for dead last in defensive efficiency.
Power Forward
Evan Mobley FD - $6600 DK - $6700
Opponent - CHA
Proj Pts FD - 37.17 DK - 38
When Anthony Davis is comparing you to a young version of himself, that is pretty high praise for the rookie. He is coming off the first real dud of his career(1 for 6 shooting) but overall has looked great averaging 32 minutes, double-digit shot attempts, and is not only picking up rebounds(7.6) but is also second among the Cavs starters in assists per game(2.6). With a matchup against a Charlotte team that is Top 10 in pace and has the 3rd worst defensive efficiency, I see Mobley getting back on track and has a chance to crush in terms PTS/$ value. In play in all formats.
Also Consider: Kyle Kuzma(WAS) who is averaging a double-double with his new team(15.5 pts, 12.0 reb per game)
Center
Nikola Vucevic FD - $8400 DK - $9400
Opponent - BOS
Proj Pts FD - 44.64 DK - 47.45
If salary wasn't an issue, Jokic would for sure be in this spot for cash games but instead, I will reserve him for GPP's with his monster price tag. For my top center, I will turn to Vucevic who is now in his first full season with the Bulls, and despite a slow start shooting(39% vs. 49% career avg) has been very relevant for fantasy averaging 11 rebounds a game. Tonight he gets a slightly plus matchup against the Celtics but more importantly has a 5x+ PTS/$ projection on both sites putting him in play in all formats, especially on FanDuel in the mid $8K range.
