Arizona Cardinals Passing Game

Kyler Murray FD 9000 DK 8300
Opponent JAX
Proj Points FD - 26.25 DK - 27.07

DeAndre Hopkins FD 8500 DK 8200
Opponent JAX
Proj Points FD - 16.51 DK - 20.5

Rondale Moore FD 5600 DK 5000
Opponent JAX
Proj Points FD - 9.44 DK - 11.54

Chase Edmonds FD 6600 DK 5700
Opponent JAX
Proj Points FD - 12.07 DK - 13.62

As you can probably tell from the list of players above, what I like about the Cardinals is the number of ways we can stack them. If we are talking cash games, I absolutely love running Kyler naked(get your head out of the gutter) as he has distributed the targets very evenly through two weeks. He is also completed 73.5% of his pass attempts and is averaging 344 yards passing and 25.5 yards rushing per game. Here is a look at the target distribution:

  • Rondal Moore - 13
  • DeAndre Hopkins - 12
  • A.J. Green - 12
  • Chase Edmonds - 9
  • Christian Kirk - 9
  • Maxx Williams - 8

Like I mentioned in the opening, there are a ton of ways to stack around Kyler making the Cards my favorite team to multi-enter in GPP formats. At this point, DeAndre Hopkins is a game-time decision but if he plays I think he will be lowered owned for a couple of reasons starting with the target list above and the very high cost of stacking the two together. What I do like is the matchup as the Jaguars have allowed the 6th most passing yards to quarterbacks and the 9th most receiving yards to wideouts through two weeks. They have also allowed their opponents #1 wideouts in Brandin Cooks(5-132-0) and Cortland Sutton(9-159-0) to go crazy and Nuke is on a completely different talent level.

The price is going up on Rondale Moore who leads the team in targets and saw his offensive snap % go up from 29% in week one to 46% last week. By no means, do I think this is his ceiling price so I will be buying now before he is in the $6K-$7K range. As for Chase Edmonds, I love that he is getting all the targets in the backfield at the moment and faces a Jags defense that ranks 24th in fantasy points to running backs and ranks dead last in yards per reception(10.3) to the position.

Using the optimizer, this is a team I will be locking a core 2-3 players from and running 5-10 lineups and then switching up the locked players and running another 5-10 lineups.

Game Stack - Seahawks vs. Vikings

Russell Wilson FD 8400 DK 7600
Opponent MIN
Proj Points FD - 24.23 DK - 25.02

Tyler Lockett FD 8000 DK 7400
Opponent MIN
Proj Points FD - 14.52 DK - 17.53

Justin Jefferson FD 7400 DK 7200
Opponent SEA
Proj Points FD - 15.65 DK - 18.85

This game gives us the second-highest total(55.5) on the main slate and is one I will be stacking a number of ways. If only playing a few lineups and not mass-multi-entering, this combination is my favorite to run and it starts with Russell Wilson. He may not give you the elite volume but he more than makes up for it leading all QB's with 10.2 air yards per attempt and is tied for the lead in completions of 40+ yards(4). Making that look even better is the fact the Vikings have given up the 7th most completions of 40+ yards. The beneficiary of three of those four deep balls has been Tyler Lockett who I favor over Metcalf who is likely to see more of Patrick Peterson on the left side. Lockett should line up most of the time against Breeland who has rated much lower giving up nine completions on 12 targets for 155 yards.

Running it back for the Vikings, my top play is Justin Jefferson who gets the more favorable matchup lining up against Tre Flowers on the left side. He has yet to have the blowup game but has been getting the volume with 19 targets and is averaging a 12.5 aDOT(average depth of target) which is Top 15 among wideouts with 10+ targets. Adam Thielen has similar numbers and actually has two more scores but is more of the safe/floor option with a 5.8 aDOT.

If multi-entering in GPP, I will also have combinations of both Metcalf(SEA) and Thielen(MIN) along with a bit of Kirk Cousins(MIN) as well, especially if Dalvin Cook ends up out.
