Young is coming off a terrible Friday night game against the Jazz, but we aren’t going to make judgments over just one performance. Trae hasn’t had the best start to the season shooting under 30% from three and scoring *just* 25 point per game. The expectations were higher than this to start the season and this isn’t in line with what we thought would happen. Some of this has to do with some personnel and the ancillary pieces playing better than last season. But some of it also run bad. I think we can buy at these prices considering Portland is one of the worst defenses in the league and they are playing at a top-10 pace.

Delon’s numbers of late haven’t looked amazing in certain respects but he’s starting and playing a lot of minutes. Over the last three games, with Killian Hayes on the shelf, Wright has run an average of 34 minutes. He’s putting up 10 shots per game but has been real bad from the field shooting only 33%. That inconsistency isn’t likely to continue and I still think we are buying low. The seven rebounds per game are consistent and he’s also putting up five assists. If the shooting comes around, this is a high floor play.

As of this writing, Herro was listed questionable along with a number of different Heat players. The team is a mess of Covid concerns right now which we need to take into mind. But there’s not doubt, in the short term with Miami ailing, Herro has taken control of the offense. He’s averaging 21 shots per game over the last three and putting up 27 points per game. Dude has also grabbed eight rebounds per game in that span. The FanDuel price is a joke if the Heat are thin players again and the DraftKings price is right around the same.

Reddish is in the middle of a decent sophomore campaign, making some strides from the beginning of last year when he looked pretty lost at times on the court. But that’s turned around this season and is taking more shots at volume. It started off better, tailed off in the short term, but I’m still liking his ability to hit value at these prices. He’s taking more than five threes per game and has bumped up the rebounding numbers as well. Like I said with Trae, this is such a great matchup against the Blazers and Reddish is in the lower middle tier of pricing.

Grant’s presence might not lead to more wins, but he’s been perfectly viable on the fantasy front over the last little bit. Over the last seven games, he’s averaging 26 points per game and six rebounds. Dude is shooting 40% from three and he’s putting up about 20 shots per game. For all of the Pistons’ problems, he’s still very much a viable fantasy option.

With the Heat likely playing many men down on Saturday, Achiuwa should be in line for big minutes again. Over the last two games, he’s played 36 and 27 respectively with an average of 13.5 points, 12 rebounds and 2.5 assists. That’s a fantastic average line at these prices and if he was in the starting lineup he’d be an auto lock play. We need to keep an eye on the Miami injury situation.

Toronto doesn’t seem to want to start him consistently (that might change) but they’ve seen fit to play Boucher major minutes over the last couple of games. One of the game’s true fantasy-point-per-minute dudes is getting a chance to pile it up averaging 21 points, nine rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game. Those numbers are just sick on the minutes and here’s to hoping he’s just placed permanently in the starting lineup.

Collins’ per minute stats are about as good as they come. He’s putting up 16 points and eight rebounds per game in fewer than 30 minutes. But’s those minutes that give us pause. He’s not cresting over 30 minutes per game at this point which is somewhat of a tough sell. But this is such a short slate that we can’t pick and choose our spots. Calling, at these prices is in a good spot against the Blazers on Saturday.

Joel Embiid is set to sit out the games over the course of the weekend. That’s going to leave minutes for Dwight Howard who should be among the most popular plays on the slate. The price didn’t move much of anything on the news and he’s coming to cheap for the opportunity. Last time around with this setup he played 35 minutes and put up seven points and 11 rebounds. Those are uninspiring numbers, but likely on the low end of what we should expect with Embiid out.

Much like the other Heat guys, we are going to need to wait in the Heat injury report for this one. But Olynyk still makes for an excellent cash game play of Miami is short on players once again. Over the last three, he’s averaged 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists per game. It’s elite production at these prices and Olynyk should be treated as such.
