Point Guard

Trey Burke FD - $3700 DK - $3700
Opponent - UTA
Proj Pts FD - 24.76 DK - 25.48
Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and Dorian Finney-Smith have all been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Jazz. I’m a little surprised by this because it’s something of a leverage game (and I’d already written up Luka as a play) but alas we trudge forward with late-season basketball. I expect Burke to be the highest usage Maverick for this game having gotten up double-digit shot attempts already in three of the first five games of the bubble. And that was just in a support role. Burke is a great punt play on this tricky slate where we might be paying up for some raw points out of the superstars.

Alex Caruso FD - $4000 DK - $3700
Opponent - DEN
Proj Pts FD - 20.95 DK - 20.45
Caruso got the start on Saturday for the Lakers in place of Danny Green. He was solid if unspectacular on 27 minutes, taking eight shots and finishing with five points, five assists and two steals. Green looks like he’ll be back, but Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has already been ruled out. That should keep Caruso running with the starters and he did have a little run bad on the shooting against the Pacers. For a punt-isa style play I think the floor is decent enough to run in cash games.

Shooting Guard

Devin Booker FD - $8200 DK - $8700
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 40.26 DK - 42.62
The Suns are firmly in the playoff hunt here thanks to a 5-0 start in the bubble on the back of Booker firmly placing himself in the superstar talent debate. After speculation about whether Booker was the kind of talent who could carry a team, some of that is being answered here averaging 30 points and six assists per game. And all of this scoring is even with him running bad from three, shooting only 31% from beyond the arc despite shooting 36% on the season. He’s made up for it with insane usage, putting up more than 20 shots per game and nine trips to the line. He’s a high floor cash game play against the Thunder who are coming on the back-to-back.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $7100 DK - $7000
Opponent - PHO
Proj Pts FD - 37.78 DK - 37.72
With Dennis Schroder leaving the bubble, it sure seemed like SGA was poised to put up some huge lines as the definitive number two option on this team. But that hasn’t happened over the last three games. He’s shot horribly from three, making only two of his last 14 from beyond the arc. And he’s gone only 12-36 (33%) overall from the field in that stretch. It’s a terrible shooting run for sure which has kept the price mostly in check. I do like him for a bounce back and the minutes should be fine enough especially if OKC is more inclined to dial back CP3’s run on the back-to-back.

Small Forward

Darius Bazley FD - $3600 DK - $3300
Opponent - PHO
Proj Pts FD - 17.36 DK - 17.15
Both Steven Adams and Nerlens Noel sat out on Saturday leaving the Thunder precariously thin in the front court. It didn’t matter all that much against the Wizards who stink, but it could be more of a problem against the Suns on Monday. Bazley had his best game of the season on Sunday, leading the team in shots with 13, going 5-8 from three and finishing with 23 points and six rebounds. If they high-20’s minutes are there for him on Monday without the other two bigs, then this is a good punt spot for the rookie.

Mikal Bridges FD - $4800 DK - $4900
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 25.95 DK - 24.95
With the Suns in complete win-now mode, Bridges has played a big role in the bubble with Kelly Oubre out with injury. He’s averaging more than 36 points and game though the usage is low with fewer than 10 points per game. Where Bridges has made his mark is on the defensive end, averaging three steals and 1.2 blocks per game over the last five. This is a big boost on FanDue where the defensive stats are overweighted. It’s also worth noting that the shots have ticked up over the last two games and for a 34% three-point shooter, he’s 0-6 over that span.

Power Forward

Michael Porter Jr. FD - $8000 DK - $7700
Opponent - LAL
Proj Pts FD - 36.5 DK - 37.08
It took an overtime for Porter to get to his previous marks, but dude still put up 23 points and 11 rebounds in 45 minutes against the Jazz on Saturday. Because of the Nuggets’ injury issues this guy has been averaging 29 points and 13 rebounds since joining the starting lineup two games into the restart. Sure, having Jamal Murray back in the mix does lower the expected usage, but the price still isn’t absurd here considering what he’s been putting up. Factor in Harris and Barton are still out of the lineup on Monday and the team hasn’t been interested in playing Millsap all that many minutes.

Mike Muscala FD - $3500 DK - $3200
Opponent - PHO
Proj Pts FD - 19.26 DK - 19.96
Muscala got the spot start with Adams and Noel out of the lineup on Sunday and made the most of his time on the court. After only playing five total minutes in the bubble and sitting out in the concussion protocol the game before, Muscala was effective against the Wizards with 14 points and three rebounds in 28 minutes. He shot 4-8 from three as a stretch five against the easiest matchup in Orlando. Again, this is nothing more than a price play if you are spending up in other spots. Power forward continues to be a tough position on FanDuel. And of course, if either Adams or Noel are back for this game, then Muscala becomes a non-factor.

Center

Deandre Ayton FD - $7700 DK - $8000
Opponent - OKC
Proj Pts FD - 43.15 DK - 44.09
Aston is averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds per game since entering the bubble with the game against Dallas seeing him lose major minutes because of foul trouble. The Suns are clearly very much in max-minutes mode considering they have put themselves in place to possibly get into the playoffs with a miracle run here. The Thunder are coming on the back-to-back and on Sunday played without both of their centers Steven Adams and Mike Muscala. This could be a smash spot for Ayton against an undersized front court.

Rudy Gobert FD - $7800 DK - $7600
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 41.22 DK - 41.86
There’s a reason we are heavy on the Suns and Jazz here is just the motivation for each team to win. Gobert will get an extra-easy matchup against the Mavs who are benching 3/5 of the starting lineup. Sure, it might be a lot of Boban early, but I’m still with Gobert here. He’s been a double-double machine with four out of the five last games since entering the bubble. He’s putting up 17 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks per since the restart. This is a great spot and it might be worth running double center on DraftKings.
