Portland Trail Blazers at the Milwaukee Bucks
There is no total or line for this game since there is outstanding injury news.
With Damian Lillard already ruled out for this one, we have to at least be a little worried about blowout risk. That being said, there are a few clear plays from this game.
Anfernee Simons FD - $4800 DK - $4700
Opponent - MIL
Proj Pts FD - 30.18 DK - 32.52
The easiest play of your life on this slate. Simons played 36 minutes against the Pelicans, and while he didn't totally get there, I think his points per minute production from earlier this season should round back into shape. It's a two game slate, and he's under-priced. Just do it.
There are a few Trail Blazers you can play here. Carmelo Anthony played more minutes than expected last game. Hassan Whiteside is a playable center option. CJ McCollum should have a high floor. Hell, even Kent Bazemore could make an appearance in my lineups. Short slates, man.
Giannis Antetokounmpo FD - $12600 DK - $10600
Opponent - POR
Proj Pts FD - 67.64 DK - 69.75
Who knows if you'll be able to afford it, but Giannis has been averaging almost 2 fantasy points a minute since Middleton went down. He's the clear pay-up option today, though like I said, this game isn't without blowout risk.
Eric Bledsoe has been great on a per-minute basis recently as well, and is a solid option against the banged up Portland back-court. Donte DiVincenzo and George Hill round out the other guys I could consider here.
New Orleans Pelicans at the Phoenix Suns
Phoenix is favored 6 by in a game with a 233 total.
No Rubio, no Baynes? No problem. Vegas still sees the Suns as 6 point favorites here in spite of their injuries, which is a real testament to what's going on for New Orleans right now as well.
Cameron Johnson FD - $4400 DK - $4000
Opponent - NO
Proj Pts FD - 24.46 DK - 26.03
Cameron Johnson got pressed into service when Rubio went down against the Kings, and netted 18 points in 26 minutes against them. He's averaging more than a fantasy point per minute since his role was expanded, and it's hard to imagine him playing fewer than 25 minutes in this one. He's as close to an auto-play as they come.
Devin Booker FD - $8500 DK - $8500
Opponent - NO
Proj Pts FD - 43.66 DK - 46.44
Booker was pretty disappointing when Rubio didn't play against Boston, but he bounced right back against the Kings, putting up 50 fantasy points in a huge 38 minutes. He's a rich man's version of CJ McCollum here, and if I can't pay up for Giannis today I will absolutely be sure I can run Booker.
Frank Kaminsky battled through his hip contusion against the Kings and still managed to pay value in spite of playing just 23 minutes. The minutes have nowhere to go but up, and I'd be thrilled to run him back out here at a very thin position.
Our system also thinks Mikal Bridges and Kelly Oubre Jr. are playable here.
Kenrich Williams FD - $5600 DK - $5300
Opponent - PHO
Proj Pts FD - 28.02 DK - 27.4
Our system flat out hates the Pelicans today. Phoenix plays fast, but they have been solid defensively, and the Pelicans are all priced to where they were when Ingram was out. Williams seems to have maintained his opportunity, and still managed 8 and 13 with 4 defensive stats against Portland. On a two game slate, I'd be happy to trot him out there.
I can also see an argument for playing Jaxson Hayes given that he paid value on 20 minutes against Portland. The price has come up though, and paying $5,000 on FanDuel for a guy who plays 20 minutes is a little terrifying.
