Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 13 – 12/2/18

Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 13 - 12/2/18

The bye weeks are over and that means we are back to a full slate of games for the Sunday main slate. This week there are five games with a Vegas Total of 48 or greater and with so many games, this will help spread out the ownership. Let's jump in and take a look at some of the top stacks using the data from our Player Lab.

Game Stack - CAR @ TB

Quarterbacks - Jameis Winston(TB), Cam Newton(CAR)
Primary Targets - Mike Evans(TB), D.J. Moore/Christian McCaffrey(CAR)

This week I started with a couple simple filters looking at games with a high Vegas total(50+) combined with a thin spread(<3.5) and despite there being 13 games on the main slate, the Player Lab spit out just two names. I love game stacking this potential shootout as both defenses rank near the bottom of the league in passing yards per game given up with the Bucs giving up the second-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks and the Panthers giving up the six-most.

Looking at the tag counts via FanShareSports, Cam Newton(41 tags) will be slightly higher owned than Jameis Winston(31 tags) but both will be top 5 in ownership this week. Newton is definitely the more consistent option as he has scored 18 or more fantasy points in every game this season but the advantage for Winston is that he comes at a discount on both sites. Mike Evans is the play to pair with Winston and is coming off two monster games where he has caught 12 of 15 targets for 236 yards and a touchdown. He has been inconsistent overall this year but has GPP winning upside. For the Panthers, it feels a little riskier on the receiving end as they have so many targets but the two I will have a ton of exposure to are Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore. McCaffrey has been elite lately with nine touchdowns in his last five games while combining for 87 or more yards in four straight(three times over 100+ total yards). Going with a Newton/McCaffrey stack gives you access to almost 100% of the Panthers scoring. Rookie, D.J. Moore has come on strong himself lately accumulating 17 targets in his last two games while catching 15 of them for 248 yards.

Like any game stack, I will be running it back with a receiver from the opposing team. For example, in my Winston/Evans stacks, I will run it back with either Moore or McCaffrey and vice versa gettings Evans in with my Panther stacks.

Oakland Raiders

Quarterback - Derek Carr
Targets - Marcell Ateman, Jared Cook

If you are looking to go a less popular route this week, consider Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders. Carr is currently 24th in tags(2) among all quarterbacks when looking at FanShareSports and is most likely going to be less than 2% owned. I mean, it makes sense as he has been very inconsistent lately throwing for under 200 yards in three of his last four games but did flash upside earlier in the season with three 300+ yard efforts in his first four games. If there was ever a week for him to once again figure it out and show us the upside it's this week. The Raiders are huge 14-point underdogs meaning a heavy throw game script and more good news as the Chiefs have given up a league-high 297.2 passing yards per game and the fifth most fantasy points per game to the position. My top target to pair with Carr is Jared Cook who makes a nice GPP pivot off the chalky Eric Ebron and Cook is actually 7th overall in tags(11) among all tight ends. He comes into this game fourth in receiving yards(609) among tight ends and gets an elite matchup against the Chiefs who have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to the position. If you are looking for a punt play to help fit a couple top-tier players in your lineup, Marcell Ateman is in play as he has led the Raiders in targets(15) over the last two games. He has been inconsistent catching just seven of those but for the price, you could do much worse.
