Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 3/24/18

Hello hockey fans and welcome to another awesome day of NHL action here at DFSR. There are 12 games today but for the purpose of this article, we will be concentrating solely on the 10-game main slate on both sites. This evening there are four teams(MON,NJ,BUF,STL) playing on consecutive nights and we have a lot of exciting games in store us. Let's get this party started, my friends.

Hockey is back and with it come our NHL projections which help inform these picks every night. When you purchase a DFSR NHL subscription to our base hockey projections you also get access to our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

GOALIE

Frederik Andersen FD - $8300 DK - $8400
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 15.95 DK - 3.99

There are two goalies that stand out above the rest for me and let's start with Andersen, who is 20-7-2 to go along with a stifling .925 save % while playing at home. Tonight's opponent, the Detroit Red Wings have been awful lately as they are 1-10-1 in their last 12 games while owning the league's 28th-ranked offense. What makes Andersen even more enticing is the fact that the Leafs allow the fourth-most shots in the league so watch the fantasy points add up this evening making him an elite play in all formats.

Sergei Bobrovsky FD - $9400 DK - $8300
Opponent - STL
Proj Pts FD - 15.34 DK - 3.83

Goalie Bob has been sensational lately as he is coming off of a huge 33-save shutout against a solid Panthers offense and he has won seven games in a row while allowing only 13 goals during that span. The Blues own the league's 23rd-ranked offense and they will be playing on consecutive nights so fire up Goalie Bob in all formats as well this evening.

Also Consider: Philip Grubauer(WSH)

CENTERS

Anze Kopitar FD - $7700 DK - $7000
Opponent - EDM
Proj Pts FD - 14 DK - 4.06

This veteran stud went crazy last game as he scored four goals on seven shots against the Av's and he has points in 10 of his last 12 games while centering the #1 line and the #1 powerplay unit for the Kings. The Oilers are ranked 26th defensively and 29th on the penalty kill so even though his 2.3 shot per game average isn't desirable for cash games, Kopitar is an awesome GPP play this evening.

Stack with: Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter(PP)

Mika Zibanejad FD - $6800 DK - $5900
Opponent - BUF
Proj Pts FD - 10.54 DK - 3.12

Even though the Rangers are pretty much out of the playoff race, this guy has turned it up a notch lately as he has seven goals, three assists, 26 shots, and seven blocks in his last six games. The Sabres travel to Manhattan to play on consecutive nights and they're ranked 29th defensively. The veteran centerman averages just over three shots per game which gives him a solid floor to go along with massive upside this evening so lock him and load him in all formats.

Stack with: Chris Kreider, Jesper Fast

Lars Eller FD - $4500 DK - $4500
Opponent - MON
Proj Pts FD - 9.39 DK - 2.68

Since Evegeny Kuznetsov has been injured this guy has been a great example of a solid play for cash games while centering the #2 line and the #2 powerplay unit for the Caps. Three games ago he had four blocks and three shots, two games ago he contributed with two assists and a shot and then, even though he failed to record a point nor a block last game, Eller fired a whopping six shots on net. He is simply too cheap for this kind of production and he played on the #1 powerplay unit last game so lock him into your cash game lineups.

Stack with: T.J. Oshie, Alex Ovechkin(PP), Nicklas Backstrom(PP)

Also Consider: John Tavares(NYI), Brayden Point(TB)

WINGERS

James Van Riemsdyk FD - $7000 DK - $6300
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 13.84 DK - 4.04

The Leafs scored five goals against the Blazing-hot Pekka Rinne and the Predators last game so Detroit and their 21st-ranked defense could be in for a world of hurt this evening. The veteran sniper has been hot in his own right lately as he has eight goals, two assists, and a whopping 24 shots in his last five games. He has a monstrous ceiling and he averages exactly three shots per game so he is a tremendous play in all formats against the Wings who are 1-10-1 in their last 12 games.

Stack with: Tyler Bozak, Mitch Marner(PP),

Jordan Eberle FD - $5600 DK - $5700
Opponent - CHI
Proj Pts FD - 12.56 DK - 3.45

The Islanders are still playing with a ton of pride even though they are still 10 points shy of the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. Eberle recorded three assists(two on the powerplay) last game to give him a goal, three assists, and nine shots in his last three games. The Hawks are a giant mess right now as they have lost five games in a row while allowing an insane 26 goals during that span. With the total listed as 6.5 goals, we need some exposure to the Isles and it should be a goal-fest in New York this evening so fire up Eberle in all formats.

Stack with: Mathew Barzal, Anthony Beauvillier

Valentin Zykov FD - $3300 DK - $3300
Opponent - OTT
Proj Pts FD - 6.26 DK - 1.82

There are value plays, then are extreme value plays and the former 37th overall pick in the 2013 draft falls into the latter category as he looked sensational last game where he scored two impressive goals on five shots. He plays on a line with some very talented players and he played on the top powerplay unit last game so lock Zykov into your lineups in all formats against the Sens and their 30th-ranked defense.

Stack with: Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Terravainen

Also Consider: Taylor Hall(NJ), Pontus Aberg(EDM)

DEFENSEMEN

Ryan Pulock FD - $4400 DK - $4600
Opponent - CHI
Proj Pts FD - 10.58 DK - 3.1

The rookie point-man came up huge last game as he scored two powerplay goals to go along with a whopping nine shots and two blocks. He is now on a five game point-streak where he has three goals, five assists, 21 shots, and seven blocks so he is very close to a must play in all formats this evening against a hapless Hawks squad.

Neal Pionk FD - $4400 DK - $3900
Opponent - BUF
Proj Pts FD - 9 DK - 2.72

Here we have another rookie who is on fire lately as he is on a six-game point streak with eight assists to go along with eight shots and five blocks. Pionk also plays on the the #1 powerplay unit for the Rangers so he makes for a great play in all formats against a bad Sabres defense.

Also Consider: Ryan McDonagh(TB), Thomas Chabot(OTT)
